It is widely recognized that the timely acquisition and presentation of accurate physiological data is a vital aid to the anaesthesiologist in monitoring and maintaining the well-being of a patient undergoing surgery. Collecting, storing, synchronizing, integrating, evaluating, and retrieving pertinent information from patient data remains very difficult due to limited computer power, the need for specialized software, inconsistency between monitoring devices, and inadequate data storage. This paper introduces the general steps of data acquisition in anaesthesia and summarizes some data acquisition systems. It also introduces some applications of the burgeoning field of artificial intelligence (AI) to data acquisition, illustrating how AI techniques may be used to advantage to assist the anaesthesiologist in monitoring and interpreting such data. © 2023 IEEE.

The cleanup of carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)in groundwater is challenging due to its high volatility and tendency to form a dense nonaqueous liquid *** the engineering applications perspective,the pump-and-treat(PAT)technology has substantial advantages owing to its large-scale implementation ability to solve groundwater ***,few studies focused on the variation in chloride contaminants in remediation sites after the contaminated groundwater was pumped and ***,we monitored the changes in chlorinated contamination in groundwater from 12 aquifers at the field level for 6 *** that the natural attenuation of chlorinated contamination is inseparable from the action of microorganisms,the major environmental factors influencing biodegradation were also evaluated.A redundancy analysis(RDA)showed that inorganic salts(DS,DN,and DF)were the most important factor(>60%)affecting the concentration of chloride contaminants,including the negative correlation between DN and the degradation of contaminants in shallow *** deep aquifers,DS,DF,and pH explained most of the degradation of chloride *** bedrock layers,DCl was positively relevant to the chloride contaminants in wells PTJ2 and *** addition,EC and DS accounted for 73.2%and 92.4%of the contaminant’s variance in wells PTJ4 and PTJ8,***,the concentrations of the corresponding contaminations and physicochemical variation in three different depths of aquifers were compared;the shallower aquifers showed a higher *** in situ monitoring and analysis of contaminated groundwater in remediation sites under PAT will promote practical wastewater treatment technologies in engineering applications.

In retail companies, there are many customers and products available. The basket analysis on retail datasets is important for retail companies to recommend new products to their customers in order to increase their sales and profits. In the literature, there are many studies applying basket analysis by Apriori or Frequent Pattern (FP)-Growth algorithms with other methods. There are two common problems in classical basket analysis: huge sparse data, profile-based segmentation. To eliminate huge sparse data, dimension reduction is required while clustering is necessary for customer segmentation. In our recent study, we bring forward a new basket analysis model for association rule mining by using Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) for dimension reduction and K-means clustering for customer segmentation before FP-Growth algorithm. We obtained more reliable purchase rules in our model than classical FP-Growth. © 2023 IEEE.

Each student matters, but it is hardly for instructors to observe all the students during the courses and provide helps to the needed ones immediately. In this paper, we present StuArt, a novel automatic system designed for the individualized classroom observation, which empowers instructors to concern the learning status of each student. StuArt can recognize five representative student behaviors (hand-raising, standing, sleeping, yawning, and smiling) that are highly related to the engagement and track their variation trends during the course. To protect the privacy of students, all the variation trends are indexed by the seat numbers without any personal identification information. Furthermore, StuArt adopts various user-friendly visualization designs to help instructors quickly understand the individual and whole learning status. Experimental results on real classroom videos have demonstrated the superiority and robustness of the embedded algorithms. Audiovisual speech recognition is an emerging research *** is the recognition of what someone is saying using visual information,primarily lip *** this study,we created a custom dataset for Indian English linguistics and categorized it into three main categories:(1)audio recognition,(2)visual feature extraction,and(3)combined audio and visual *** features were extracted using the mel-frequency cepstral coefficient,and classification was performed using a one-dimension convolutional neural *** feature extraction uses Dlib and then classifies visual speech using a long short-term memory type of recurrent neural ***,integration was performed using a deep convolutional *** audio speech of Indian English was successfully recognized with accuracies of 93.67%and 91.53%,respectively,using testing data from 200 *** training accuracy for visual speech recognition using the Indian English dataset was 77.48%and the test accuracy was 76.19%using 60 *** integration,the accuracies of audiovisual speech recognition using the Indian English dataset for training and testing were 94.67%and 91.75%,respectively.

A multiple antenna placement system analysis for the improvement of efficiency and capacity for inter and intra vehicular communication is proposed in this article. Four antennas are placed in the four locations of the vehicular body which includes roof, side mirror, rear screen, and dashboard. The constituted antenna occupying the dimension of 40×38.5×0.2 mm3 on flexible substrate material of photo paper and the bending analysis of the model as per the conformal nature on vehicular body is also analyzed and presented in this work. The received power from each receiving antenna response with respect to the transmitter has been analyzed. The channel capacity with respect to the antenna position for V2V communication is analyzed in different areas and in different environmental conditions. © 2024, Electromagnetics Academy. In this paper, the problem of training large language models (LLMs) in split federated learning over real-world wireless networks is investigated. In the considered system, the embedding layers of an LLM are first computed at a client and then trans-mitted over a wireless MIMO-OFDM link to a server instance for further processing, continuing the forward- and initiating the backpropagation of the training to the originating client. Due to channel impairments and adversarial attacks, the server needs to compute the model losses and gradients using corrupted parameters such as embeddings in LLMs. The computation of the corresponding model losses is rigorously characterized using such perturbed embeddings and a direct connection to the communication mean-squared error (MSE) for models beyond simple neural networks is established. Subsequently, the communication errors are modeled as part of the training process, and a method to design beamforming, scheduling and power allocation is proposed, ensuring high task performance and model convergence even in the case of worst-case jamming. Results on two natural language processing tasks using different LLM architectures confirm the validity of the theoretical analysis and prove the effectiveness of the proposed wireless system design in terms of accuracy and F1 score. © 2024 IEEE.
