In this paper, we develop a context recognition system that is based on multimodal biometric signals and applicable to smart driving system. The context recognition system includes a biometric analysis module that analyzes and recognizes human biometric signal patterns. The context recognition system can recognize a user's emotion and level of concentration by analyzing ECG (electrocardiogram) and EEG (electroencephalogram) patterns. To predict the concentration and stress status of the user, the electroencephalogram rendering system utilizes 5 signal values: MID-BETA, THETA, ALPHA, DELTA, and GAMMA. Also, electrocardiogram analysis system utilizes 5 basic signal values: P, Q, R, S, T wave. To recognize the user's electrocardiogram signal patterns, a deformation K-means-based EM algorithm was applied. © 2011 IEEE.

Sulley, one of fuzzing tools can describe Software Under Test (SUT) more easily than other tools and provides with the libraries which can create the variety of test cases. But it has a weak point of difficulty to verify the vulnerability at the actual software because it doesn't consider the process of the cycle between nodes. This paper carries out the research to resolve such problem so that it enables for Sulley to fuzz software with cycle. The basic structure and algorithm of Sulley are extended to adopt the requirement. We modify the structure of software excluding the cycle of software using the unfolding technique, which is widely used for the process of the loop structure in software field. The cycle structure is unfolded hiring the concept of boundary-interior path coverage. To evaluate the suggested method, fuzzing test is performed against the FTP service modeled by Sulley. The feasibility of the suggested method is proved by finding errors of the FTP service with cyclic behavior, which is being used widely.

Organic thin film transistors are fabricated on the plastic substrates through four-level mask process without patterning for photolithography in order to approach a simple fabrication process. KIST-JM-1 as an organic molecule for self—assembly monolayers is deposited on the surface of the zirconium oxide gate dielectric layer for the better device performance. The effect of gate dielectric surface modification on the field effect mobility of OTFTs has been examined and these prototype organic transistors showed the excellent electrical characteristics such as the field effect mobility > 0.66cm 2 /Vs and I on /I off > 10 5 .

This paper demonstrates a strategy for rapid estimation of particle size distributions based on wide-band ultrasound attenuation measurement in solid/liquid suspensions. The excess attenuation due to the presence of particle is first measured as a function of frequency, in a suspension of known particle mass fraction. A model of this attenuation that incorporates the dependency of ultrasound frequency, particle mass fraction, and particle size distribution is then required. An algorithm is then presented that estimates the parameters of the underlying model, thus obtaining an estimate of the particle size distribution. The algorithm is evaluated with numerical simulations as well as measurement on suspensions of Dolomite particles. The results show that the estimated particle size distribution agrees with what is to be expected from the mechanical sieving used in preparation of the samples. © 2010 IEEE.

On the ITRS roadmap [1], the physical gate length, LG, has been rapidly scaling down, and will reach values below ∼ 10nm beyond 2020 (see Table I, shaded region). The single-gate (SG) extremely thin SOI (ETSOI) MOSFET, the double-gate (DG) FinFET, and the gate-alI-around (GAA) Si nanowire (SiNW) MOSFET geometries may facilitate such scaling [2-4]. Nevertheless, sub-10nm LG scaling will be a great challenge because of the significant mobility degradation [5] and channel thickness variations [2] in the aforementioned geometries with a few-nanometer body thicknesses as required by electrostatic short-channel considerations. Therefore, new device geometries and technologies are required that could simultaneously maintain the electrostatic integrity and the superior transport properties for sub-10nm LG scaling. It has been recently shown that the atomicthin- body (ATB) geometry can meet the electrostatic requirements for LG ≤ 10nm [6]. At the ATB limit, carbon electronics based on graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) with tunable band gaps [7] have been widely considered for high-performance digital electronics [8-10]. Here, ballistic transport of GNR Schottky-barrier (SB) FETs is simulated self-consistently [6], including both thermionic emission and tunneling. We show the better gate length scalability of GNRs compared to Si MOSFETs, even though significant material related challenges will have to be overcome. LG scaling below 10nm is mainly limited by direct source-to-drain tunneling and the ambipolar effect in the off-state, which can be suppressed by narrower ribbon widths (of the order ∼ 1nm), and larger effective masses obtained from bandstructure engineering. If a negative metal-graphene SB-height could be achieved, the GNR SB-FET could operate without significant series resistance effects, and deliver high on-current (I ON) [11]. The performance of the ultimate GNR SB-FETs is comparable to the MOSFET targets of the ITRS roadmap [1]. © 2010 IEEE.

This paper presents analytical methods of physiological signals which are applicable to contents. The content is driving system that composed of intelligent physics engine. A technique of driving system is proposed for intelligently embodying the user's expertise, and then evaluated by experiments with a racing car game. This study showed that effect of analysis physiological signal for artificial intelligent driving system. The intelligent driving system applies a physiological analysis module that analyzes and recognizes human physiological signal patterns. The physiological multimodal analysis system can recognize a user's emotion and concentration status by analyzing ECG(electrocardiogram) and EEG (electroencephalogram) patterns. The electroencephalogram analysis system utilizes 5 basic signal values to predict the concentration status of the user: MID-BETA, THETA, ALPHA, DELTA, and GAMMA signal. To recognize the user's electrocardiogram signal patterns, K-means-based EM algorithm was applied.

In sensor networks, sensors are likely to be captured by attackers because they are usually deployed in an unprotected or even a hostile environment. If an adversarial compromises a sensor, he/she uses the keys from the compromised sensor to uncover the keys of others sensors. Therefore, it is very important to renew the keys of sensors in a proactive or reactive manner. Even though many group key renewal schemes have been proposed, they have some security flaws. First, they employ a single group key in a cluster so that the compromise of one sensor discloses the group key. Second, they evict the compromised nodes by updating the compromised keys with noncompromised keys. This eviction scheme is useless when the non-compromised keys are exhausted due to the increase of compromised nodes. In this paper, we propose a lightweight key renewal scheme, which evicts the compromised nodes clearly by reforming clusters excluding compromised nodes. Besides, in a cluster, each member employs a pairwise key for communication with its CH (Cluster Head) so that our scheme is tolerable against sensor compromise. Our simulation results prove that the proposed scheme is more tolerable against the compromise of sensors and it is more energy-saving than the group key renewal schemes. © 2010 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

Recently advancement in digital equipment without regard to location and use of portable computers and mobile phones such as smart phone are being convinced and the vitalization of the smart phone in the marketplace is spreading. However, the application which works continuously consumes more power than the standby mode and unable to perform the work well are the problems. As a result, the need of a power management technology in the mobile environment is growing. In this paper, without the addition of MICOM (Micro computer) applications using the baseband processor also offers power-saving technology. The proposed technique is based on the written application of a pedometer to measure electric power consumed and evaluate the performance of power management technology. Via the supplies of the GPIB (General Purpose Interface Bus) interface, the electric current was measured on a PC, the result of the current consumed in Sleep Mode is less than 10 mA. When the pedometer run, the average current consumption observed was 0.81089 mA. ©2010 IEEE.

This paper presents a method for joint estimation of fiber and fines mass fractions (i.e. pulp consistency) in paper pulp suspension. The technique is based on a combination of optical and ultrasonic measurements. The link between measured quantities and the mass fractions is established through Partial Least-Squares Regression (PLSR). The method is evaluated with experiments on unbleached softwood pulp for a total mass fraction of fibers and fines ranging from 0.6% to 0.54%. The results show that we are able to accurately predict both the fiber and fines mass fractions using the proposed technique. We also show that the performance is increased by combining the two techniques compared to using them by themselves. ©2009 IEEE.

Several model-based techniques have been proposed for characterizing thin layers within multi-layered materials. One problem with these methods is that the models are non-linear with respect to the parameters. Hence, iterative numerical methods must be used estimating the model parameters, i.e. for solving the inverse problem based on measurements. For material structures where the propagation times through the indiv.dual layers are shorter than the duration of the transmitted ultrasound pulse, the received waveform will consist of several overlapping echoes. For the parameter estimation to work, good initial guesses of the times of flight are required, which are difficult to obtain due to the severe overlap of the echoes. In this paper we propose a filtering scheme, that compresses the transmitted pulse into a shorter pulse, thus enabling the echoes from within the material structure to be detected. The method is evaluated using simulations on a three-layered material for varying signal-to-noise conditions. ©2009 IEEE.
