In wireless sensor network, for some applications users are attracted in real time data. This can be done, if users directly interact with sensor node. For security reasons, user needs to get authorized to base station and sensor node both. In this paper, we design an efficient biometric based authentication scheme. We have done informal and formal security analysis of our scheme and have proved that our scheme is secure against active and passive adversaries. The performance with respect to storage, communicational cost and running time of our scheme is also compared with other related schemes.

The basic efforts of this investigation are focused on the development of an optimal layout plan with minimal build time, model material volume, support volume and thus production cost for a Fortus 250mc modeler. ABS plastic is used as a raw material and cylindrical primitives with pre specified STL dimensions are taken as the component. This study focuses on multi response optimization of layout plan for different FDM parameters as well as spatial orientations. Experiments are conducted using full factorial central composite design. Response surface methodology based desirability analysis was employed for optimization of FDM process parameters namely, contour width, raster width, air gap, raster angle, slice height and orientation based on multiple performance characteristics including build time, model material volume and support material volume. Mathematical models were developed and tested for accuracy using DesignExpert software for RSM application. The results thus obtained are further processed using Desirability approach for multi objective optimization in order to achieve overall layout optimization for quantitative characteristics.

Fiber reinforced plastics (FRPs) are acquiring its place in almost every application area where conventional materials are used. The present study describes the mechanical characterization (impact strength and flexural strength) of glass, carbon and glass-carbon hybrid fiber reinforced polyester hybrid composites with and without particulate filler. The composites were developed using conventional hand lay-up technique. Attempts have been made to explore the possible use of SiC as filler material in these composites. Effect of reinforcing different percentage of silicon carbide particles on mechanical properties of the developed hybrid composites has been studied. The results have been compared with and without filler materials. The study concludes that reinforcing filler material has strong effect on the mechanical performance of the developed composites.

In this paper, we propose a new enhanced image steganography scheme for color images. The proposed scheme is based on the pixel intensity of the cover image and the similarity in secret message. It can hide the secret text data into the color or gray scale images. In this scheme, we try to exploit the characteristic of the secret data which is the closeness in its basic elements. We firstly preprocess the secret data that is to be hidden;then the resultant secret data is embedded into the LSBs of the cover image according to intensity values of the pixels in cover image. In preprocessing, we actually divide the secret data into clusters in a sequential manner and then the basic information about each cluster such as its size, its minimum value and the cluster itself are embedded. The preprocessing reduces the size of the secret data significantly which helps in improving the quality of the stego-image. The security of this method also increases because of the preprocessing as the actual data is not embedded.

Weight reduction is one of the major objectives in engineering design and manufacturing, especially in automotive and aircraft industries. Aluminium (Al) alloys provide the solution for weight reduction in various structural applications. Forfurther enhancement ofsurface properties of these alloys, their surface composites are fabricated which exhibit high strength - weight ratio, better corrosion resistance, improved mechanical & wear properties as compared to base alloys. In this work, an attempt has been made to enhance the processed-layerhardness of AA 6063 sheets by synthesizing AA 6063/SiC surface composites using friction stir processing (FSP). Single pass FSP was performed on AA 6063 sheets using tool rotational speedat three levels of 900, 1120and 1400 rpm *** speed was maintained at a constant level of 40 millimetres/minute and tool tilt angle was kept at 2˚. Optical microscopy was employed for observing microstructureof fabricated composites. In this paper, the performance and design analysis of two different configurations of fractional order fuzzy logic controller (FLC) schemes are investigated for two-link planar robotic manipulator plant. The plant under consideration is carrying a payload which is varying with time. The scaling gains of FLC and the other parameters of controller are obtained using an efficient multi-objective optimization technique named as non-dominating sorted genetic algorithm-II (NSGA-II). Two different performance/objective functions are chosen for minimization to witness trade-off between them and to obtain better closed loop response. Using the MATLAB/Simulink platform for simulation, the performance of the proposed controller techniques are compared with the fractional version of PID (FOPID) and traditional Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) controller. For the robustness testing, the results for the disturbance rejections are presented for all the control schemes.
