Traditional PCR/NGS-based multigene panel testing is time-consuming and costly. Predicting EGFR mutations directly from H&E stained whole slide images (WSIs) can alleviate these limitations. Furthermore, histopathological reports contain valuable textual information that correlates with tissue areas in WSIs. However, recent research mainly analyses EGFR mutation status only from a single modality, ignoring rich information contained in reports. In this paper, we propose a report-guided cross-modal representation learning method for predicting EGFR mutations by WSIs. Specifically, we reconstruct report-level embeddings through exploring intrinsic relationships between diagnostic words in histopathological reports and tissue areas in WSIs. Finally, reconstructed histopathological report embedding and aggregated WSI embedding are fused for final prediction. More importantly, molecular testing report is also introduced as prior supervision information at the training stage to guarantee semantic consistency of fused feature and molecular report embedding. We evaluate our method on the TCGA-EGFR public benchmark dataset and an in-house clinical dataset (USTC-EGFR). Experimental results demonstrate that our method outperforms existing approaches in EGFR mutation prediction, highlighting the benefits of cross-modal learning in enhancing feature representational ability. With the development of artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence technology is widely used in robots. For example, emotional computing robots need to be able to complete the function of facial expression analysis. The multi-task deep learning model MCAN proposed in this paper is designed to complete facial expression analysis for robots which can predict discrete expressions and dimensional measures. The class center loss function proposed in this paper can increase the inter-class distance while reducing the intra-class distance. In addition, multi-head attention network was improved to focus on different areas of the input image. Finally, feature pyramid network allows information exchange and fusion between feature maps at different levels. Experiments have proven that MCAN achieves excellent results on both the AffectNet dataset and the AFEW-VA dataset, and also speeds up inference.

Data-free knowledge distillation aims to learn a compact student network from a pre-trained large teacher network without using the original training data of the teacher network. Existing collection-based and generation-based methods train student networks by collecting massive real examples and generating synthetic examples, respectively. However, they inevitably become weak in practical scenarios due to the difficulties in gathering or emulating sufficient real-world data. To solve this problem, we propose a novel method called Hybrid Data-Free Distillation (HiDFD), which leverages only a small amount of collected data as well as generates sufficient examples for training student networks. Our HiDFD comprises two primary modules, i.e., the teacher-guided generation and student distillation. The teacher-guided generation module guides a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) by the teacher network to produce high-quality synthetic examples from very few real-world collected examples. Specifically, we design a feature integration mechanism to prevent the GAN from overfitting and facilitate the reliable representation learning from the teacher network. Meanwhile, we drive a category frequency smoothing technique via the teacher network to balance the generative training of each category. In the student distillation module, we explore a data inflation strategy to properly utilize a blend of real and synthetic data to train the student network via a classifier-sharing-based feature alignment technique. Intensive experiments across multiple benchmarks demonstrate that our HiDFD can achieve state-of-the-art performance using 120 times less collected data than existing methods. This article presents an integrated current mode configurable analog block(CAB)system for field-programmable analog array(FPAA).The proposed architecture is based on the complementary metal-oxide semiconductor(CMOS)transistor level design where MOSFET transistors operating in the saturation region are *** proposed CAB architecture is designed to implement six of thewidely used current mode operations in analog processing systems:addition,subtraction,integration,multiplication,division,and pass *** functionality of the proposed CAB is demonstrated through these six operations,where each operation is chosen based on the user’s selection in the CAB interface *** architecture of the CAB system proposes an optimized way of designing and integrating only three functional cells with the interface circuitry to achieve the six ***,optimized programming and digital tuning circuitry are implemented in the architecture to control and interface with the functional ***,these designed programming and tuning circuitries play an essential role in optimizing the performance of the proposed *** of the proposed CMOS Transistor Based CAB system is carried out using Tanner EDA Tools in 0.35μm standard CMOS *** design uses a±1.5 V power supply and results in maximum 3 dB bandwidth of 34.9 MHz and an approximate size of 0.0537 *** demonstrates the advantages of the design over the current state-of-the-art designs presented for comparison in this ***,the proposed design has a clear aspect of simplicity,low power consumption,and high bandwidth operation,which makes it a suitable candidate for mobile telecommunications applications.

With the rapid development of the Internet of Things(IoTs),wearable sensors are playing an increasingly important role in daily monitoring of personal health and *** signal-to-noise-ratio has become the most critical performance factor to *** enhance it,on the one hand,good sensing materials/devices have been employed;on the other hand,signal amplification and noise reduction circuits have been ***,most of these devices and circuits work in an active sampling mode,requiring frequent data acquisition and hence,entailing high-power *** this scenario,a flexible and wearable event-triggered sensor with embedded signal amplification without an external power supply is of great ***,we report a flexible two-terminal piezotronic n-p-n bipolar junction transistor(PBJT)that acts as an autonomous and highly sensitive,current-and/or voltage-mediated pressure *** PBJT is formed by two back-to-back piezotronic diodes which are defined as emitter-base and collectorbase *** force exertion on the emitter side,as a result of the piezoelectric effect,the emitter-base diode is forward biased while the collector-base diode is reverse *** to the inherent BJT amplification effect,the PBJT achieves record-high sensitivities of 139.7 kPa^(-1)(current-based)and 88.66 kPa^(-1)(voltage-based)in sensing *** PBJT also has a fast response time of<110 ms under exertion of dynamic stimuli ranging from a flying butterfly to a gentle finger ***,the PBJT advances the state of the art not only in terms of sensitivity but also in regard to being self-driven and autonomous,making it promising for pressure sensing and other IoT applications.

Existing quantization parameter (QP) adjustment methods in video coding often focus solely on coding efficiency and ignore the impact of bit-rate fluctuations on video transmission and bandwidth waste. This is mainly because intra pictures, in a hierarchical coding structure, are allocated smaller QP and thus consume more bits. To address this issue, we propose an adaptive block-level QP adjustment method. Specifically, intra picture importance (IPI) is first introduced to evaluate the adjustability of intra picture QP. For intra pictures whose QP can be adjusted, we further propose block importance (BI) to determine their optimal block-level QP adjustment. Experimental results show that our proposed method reduce the bit-rate fluctuations while basically maintaining the coding performance. Notably, significant improvements can be observed in high-resolution videos, with a reduction of approximately 11% in bit-rate fluctuations.

It has been shown that optimizing quadratic costs while stabilizing affine control systems to desired (sets of) states subject to state and control constraints can be reduced to a sequence of Quadratic Programs (QPs) by using Control Barrier Functions (CBFs) and Control Lyapunov Functions (CLFs). In this paper, we employ machine learning techniques to ensure the feasibility of these QPs, which is a challenging problem, especially for high relative degree constraints where High Order CBFs (HOCBFs) are required. To this end, we propose a sampling-based learning approach to learn a new feasibility constraint for CBFs; this constraint is then enforced by another HOCBF added to the QPs. The accuracy of the learned feasibility constraint is recursively improved by a recurrent training algorithm. We demonstrate the advantages of the proposed learning approach to constrained optimal control problems with specific focus on a robot control problem and on autonomous driving in an unknown environment.
