The accurate annotation of transcription start sites(TSSs)and their usage are critical for the mechanistic understanding of gene regulation in different biological *** fulfill this,specific high-throughput experimental technologies have been developed to capture TSSs in a genome-wide manner,and various computational tools have also been developed for in silico prediction of TSSs solely based on genomic *** of these computational tools cast the problem as a binary classification task on a balanced dataset,thus resulting in drastic false positive predictions when applied on the genome ***,we present Dee Re CT-TSS,a deep learningbased method that is capable of identifying TSSs across the whole genome based on both DNA sequence and conventional RNA sequencing *** show that by effectively incorporating these two sources of information,Dee Re CT-TSS significantly outperforms other solely sequence-based methods on the precise annotation of TSSs used in different cell ***,we develop a meta-learning-based extension for simultaneous TSS annotations on 10 cell types,which enables the identification of cell type-specific ***,we demonstrate the high precision of DeeReCT-TSS on two independent datasets by correlating our predicted TSSs with experimentally defined TSS chromatin *** source code for Dee Re CT-TSS is available at https://github.-com/Joshua Chou2018/Dee Re CT-TSS_release and https://***/biocode/tools/BT007316.

This paper studies safe driving interactions between Human-Driven Vehicles (HDVs) and Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) in mixed traffic where the dynamics and control policies of HDVs are unknown and hard to predict. In order to address this challenge, we employ event-triggered Control Barrier Functions (CBFs) to estimate the HDV model online, construct data-driven and state-feedback safety controllers, and transform constrained optimal control problems for CAVs into a sequence of event-triggered quadratic programs. We show that we can ensure collision-free interactions between HDVs and CAVs and demonstrate the robustness and flexibility of our framework on different types of human drivers in lane-changing scenarios while guaranteeing the satisfaction of safety constraints.

The pansharpening of high-resolution panchromatic (Pan) image and low-resolution multispectral (MS) images represents an important task in the remote sensing field. It allows the joint exploitation of the information derived from both types of images. However, this may cause a distortion of spectral information or a lack in details and structures. The multiresolution analysis using wavelet transforms has proved its efficiency in the pansharpening domain, due to the representation of the image content over different resolution levels. In image fusion applications, we always need more detail information to be incorporated in the pansharpening procedure in order to produce enhanced results. However, the limitation of the wavelet transform to three types of oriented detail coefficients prevents this need from being met. To overcome this limitation, we propose to use the redundant contourlet transform (RCT) which extracts a richer multiscale directional information from the image. For this purpose, two RCT-based pansharpening methods are introduced and suitable data fusion procedures are described. We conducted several experiments on two different datasets acquired respectively by ALSAT-2A and IKONOS satellites. The visual results as well as quantitative results from evaluation metrics demonstrate the performance of the proposed methods. © 2023 IEEE.

In the last decades, time series classification (TSC) has emerged as one of the most challenging issues in data mining, and extensive studies have been done on various methods, including algorithm-based and learning-based techniques. Sensor-based human activity recognition (HAR) is a TSC issue that has become one of the most sought-after fields among business and academia specialists because of the proliferation of smartphone technology and wearable movement sensors. Conventional approaches to feature extraction provide a significant challenge in feature selection. Deep learning is an efficient strategy in the HAR scientific field and has solved the issue of feature selection. Nevertheless, several obstacles remain to study topics, including classifier interpretation. This article integrates well-known deep learning methods, namely convolutional neural networks and RNN-based models. The new approach proved to be more effective than the existing state-of-the-art approach. We assessed our network on the multivariant time-series benchmark (UCI-HAR) and revealed that our model surpasses other models in terms of training time and overall accuracy. © 2022 IEEE.

Mobile projectors have come under the spotlight as a personal device to support a wide range of user tasks;however, projected image should be stabilized for applications used in motion because a projector shakes with a body sway during moving and, accordingly projected images swing. Blockchain is experiencing the transition from the first generation to the second generation, and smart contract is the symbol of the second generation blockchain. Under the background of the explosive growth of the second-generation blockchain platform and applications represented by smart contracts, frequent smart contract vulnerability events seriously threaten the ecological security of the blockchain, reflecting the importance and urgency of smart contract vulnerability detection. In this paper, we proposed a smart contract vulnerability detection method based on a Siamese network. We combined the Siamese network with Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) Network neural network to complete the task of smart contract vulnerability detection. The Siamese network used in this paper consists of two subnetworks that share the same parameters onto a low dimension and easily separable feature space. Siamese network is now widely used in the field of image similarity and target tracking. In this paper, we improve the Siamese network so that it can be used for smart contract vulnerability detection. By comparing with previous research results, the model has better vulnerability detection performance and a lower false-positive rate. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

This paper presents an efficient approach to generate visual explanations from a ResNet 101 model for identification of medication. The blister package dataset is used to train a deep learning model built on the PyTorch framework's ResNet 101 pre-trained model. Visual inspections and a quantitative localization benchmark demonstrate that the model approach correctly identifies the critical components of blister packs for medicine identification. A Gradient-weighted Class Activation Mapping (Grad-CAM) method is used to extract the feature map, and then the attention mechanism is utilized to extract the high-level attention maps, that emphasizes the part of the image that is significant to the target class, which can be considered as a visual representation. The experimental results indicated that the Grad-CAM achieved the better visualization and interpretation of ResNet 101 in blister package classification. © 2022 IEEE.

Human activity recognition (HAR) plays an increasingly vital role in several industrial applications, including medical services and rehabilitation surveillance. With the fast growth of information and communications technology, wearable technologies have recently triggered a new human-computer interaction. Wearable inertial sensors (IMUs) are commonly used in the area of HAR because this data source provides the most insightful motion signal data. Lately, HAR studies have examined the enhancement of activity recognition using bio-signals like Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Photoplethysmography (PPG). Nevertheless, current HAR research was constrained by machine learning techniques that relied on human-crafted feature extraction. This research proposed a deep learning technique to effectively identify physical activity behaviors using ECG, PPG, and IMU sensor data. ResNet-SE is a deep residual network that incorporates convolutional processes, shortcut connections, and squeeze-and-excitement. We trained and evaluated baseline deep learning models to assess the suggested network, including the proposed model, using the public HAR dataset called Wrist_PPG dataset. According to experimental findings, the suggested method earned the most fantastic accuracy of F1-score. In addition, our results indicate that the PPG data can be utilized to classify physical workouts. © 2022 IEEE.
