In high-penetration renewable energy systems, voltage dips during short-circuit faults can trigger a large number of renewable energy sources to enter (Low Voltage Ride Through, LVRT) control, causing significant short-term power impacts in the system. The commissioning of new energy storage introduces additional regulation resources to the system. This paper proposes an optimization method for energy storage fault ride-through parameters to reduce short-term power impacts during faults. Based on PV output power and the charge/discharge state of energy storage, the voltage threshold for energy storage entering LVRT is optimized. Additionally, based on the voltage threshold for energy storage stations entering LVRT control and the equivalent impedance between each energy storage station and PV station, the control strategy for energy storage exiting LVRT control is optimized.

Interconnection of bulk power systems necessitates high reliability of security & stabilitycontrol System (SSCS). The routine test helps reduce the risk of unavailability of the SSCS. This paper newly proposed the optimization model to decide the optimal routine test interval, and the sensitivity model with respect to the upper/lower limits of the interval. At first, the fault tree and the state space models are derived for the SSCS. Then with the objective of reducing risk (and reducing economic loss), the equality constraints of the state probabilities, and the inequality constraints of the routine test interval and the cost, the optimization model to the interval is proposed. The Lagrange multipliers are found to describe the sensitivity of the objective function with respect to the limit of the intervals. Compared with repeated calculations, the proposed models are more efficient, and can deal with multiple parameters. The numerical results are given to show the application value of the proposed models.
