A new particle swarm optimizer (PSO), called dynamic double PSO, which is guaranteed to convergence to the global optimization solution with probability one, is presented based on the analysis of the standard PSO. Global convergence analysis is made using the F. Solis and R. Wets' research results. It can dynamically adjust the limit position with a positive probability that distributes within the cycle, located at the best positions of the swarm and itself, and shows a good performance to avoid premature convergence. The simulation results show the correctness and efficiency of the presented methods.

Through mechanism analysis of simple GA (SGA), every genetic operator of SGA is found be equal to linear transformation of chosen individual. So the linear transformation is changed for the improvement of the algorithm capability. As a result, a new genetic algorithm-nonlinear GA (NGA) is conducted. The optimization computing of some examples is made to show that the new genetic algorithm has better global search capacity and rapid convergence rate.

Based on the theory of hybrid dynamical system and stochastic Petri nets, stochastic Petri nets model of hybrid dynamical system is presented in this paper. The qualitative change and quantitative change rules of the model are put forward, and state tracking of hybrid states is studied in the paper. This stochastic Petri nets applies to modeling and analysis of hybrid dynamical system with random factors effectively.

In this paper, the mind evolutionary computation (MEC) was applied to solve the constrained optimization problems. First, several concepts are presented and a valid method to handle the constraints is developed based on those concepts. After that, according to the features of the constrained problems, the 'similartaxis' and dissimilation operators in MEC are redesigned in details. Finally, the simulation results for the nonlinear constrained problem show the effectiveness of the algorithm in solving the constrained problems.

In order to dynamically integrate and rebuild information systems under a distributed network computing environment, the original information systems, i.e. legacy systems, must be reused. This paper researches legacy system reusable technology, and proposes a mechanism of componentized encapsulating legacy system inheritable parts using distributed object CORBA technology and Java programming technology. An example of the reuse of simulation models and simulation tools of computer simulation systems is discussed.

Through the mechanism analysis of simple genetic algorithm (SGA), we find that every genetic operator can be considered as a linear transform. So some disadvantages of SGA may be solved if genetic operators are modified to a nonlinear transform. According to the above method, a nonlinear genetic algorithm is introduced, and different nonlinear genetic operators with some probabilities are designed and applied to numerical optimization problems. The optimization computing of some examples is made to show that the new genetic algorithm, is useful and simple.

Through the mechanism analysis of simple genetic algorithm (SGA), every genetic operator can be considered as a linear function. So some disadvantages of SGA may be solved if the genetic operators are modified to a nonlinear function. According to the above method, a nonlinear genetic algorithm is introduced. By analysing of the concept of the schema, a new schema theorem is proved. The above work establishes a completely new mathematical analytic method of the genetic algorithms schema theory and contributes much to perfection and development of the theory of genetic algorithm.

The generalized differential Petri nets (GDPN) proposed previously (2002) to model hybrid dynamic system, make the modeling of continuous time dynamic process and discrete event dynamic process in a uniform framework, but the evolution rule of differential transition increases the time complexity greatly. So a distributed simulation scheme is used to simulate the generalized differential Petri nets. First, the definition of GDPN is introduced and the structure constraints are analyzed. Then the place and transition nodes (discrete or differential) in the model are decomposed into several sub-nodes. The distributed simulation scheme suitable to GDPN is discussed. The simulation method of special structure such as the conflict structure and deadlock and its avoidance, is also considered.

There has been considerable interest in the modeling and simulation of hybrid dynamic systems (HDS). As an effective modeling tool of discrete event dynamic systems, Petri nets have a dual nature of a graphical tool and a mathematical object. In this paper, an extension of Petri net named generalized differential Petri nets (GDPN) is proposed to model HDS that have a combination of discrete-event evolution and continuous state evolution. Differential place and differential transition defined by Demongodin et al. (1998) are used to model the numeral simulation of the continuous dynamic process, and the weights defined on the directed arcs that connects the differential transitions and places are extended from real numbers to real matrices. The marking of differential place are also enlarged from real numbers to real vectors. Then the evolution rules and modeling method of HDS with GDPN are introduced. Two examples are used to illustrate the modeling power of GDPN in HDS.
