A model-independent search for the Abelian Z′ gauge boson in the Drell-Yan process at the LHC at s=7 and 8 TeV is fulfilled. Estimations of the Z′ axial-vector coupling af2 to the standard model fermions, the couplings of the axial vector to lepton vector currents afvl, and the couplings of the axial vector to quark vector currents afvq are derived within data on the forward-backward asymmetry presented by the CMS Collaboration. The analysis takes into consideration the behavior of the differential cross section, which exhibits itself if the derived already special relations between the couplings proper to the renormalizable theories are accounted for. In particular, they hold in all the models of Abelian Z′ usually considered in the model-dependent analysis of the LHC data. The coupling values are estimated at ∼92% confidence level by means of the maximum likelihood function. They weakly depend on the Z′ mass in the investigated interval 1.2 TeV

The algorithm of inverse aperture synthesis using generalized inverse filtering with evolutionary control realized in spatial frequency domain is considered. Optimal values of regularization parameters of filtration with evolutionary control by numerical simulation have been obtained. The optimal values provide the maximization of sharpness of the edges of the reconstructed radio image in combination with minimization of parasitic ripples in it. In contradistinction to the traditional inverse aperture synthesis for single-frequency signal, proposed approach is applied to the samples of signal obtained by transformation of multifrequency measured data to time domain. The suggested method provides improving sharpness of the radio image synthesized.

The article presents the results of studying the effect of alimentary exogenous estrogen that can be presented in agricultural products on state of lipid peroxidation, antioxidant system components and cholinergic neurotransmitter system in the organs of experimental different ages animals. It was established that the severity of the effects had been higher in females in puberty compared to sexually mature animals, which indicates the existence of specific age-related physiological conditions defined high sensitivity to exogenous estrogen-like compounds. Presents results on the effects of nutritional estrogens on metabolic processes in animals of different ages testify to the potential health risks of consumer products that may be contaminated with endogenous hormones. Despite the steady growth of agricultural production, development of agro-industrial pollution drugs like compounds of food is very likely. This phenomenon is of concern and requires increased control of both the responsible organizations and public associations that will enable to avoid the negative effects of dietary factors on the population health. Particular attention should be paid to the safety and quality of children's food, because this population is extremely sensitive to the influence of previously alimentary factors.

The process of mixing in combined extruders is discussed in this paper. The mixing step is one of the most important in the processing of polymers. A new promising direction for the implementation of this process is using of combined or screw-disc extruders that combine the advantages of both screw and disc machines. We propose a method for determining the quality of the composites. Strip thickness is a quality criterion. As a result of our research, programs have been established, which can determine the mixing quality of polymer compositions. The quality criterion in this method is the strip thickness. Objective was to create programs that allow specifying the desired compositions quality during their processing. Adequacy of the task solution has been verified by experimental studies in the test unit.

The regenerative braking is one of the most attractive ways for energy saving in electric transport. It has many advantages and its effectiveness is discussed in numerous researches, but there are no significant publications, which describe the power losses in the way of recovered current flowing. The paper describes an alternative method for estimating recovered energy losses in the elements of a DC electric transport system. In comparison with existing methods, it is based on the correlation theory of stochastic processes and takes into account the Fryze's concept for reactive power. The method is verified by the experimental researches, which are performed for the VL8, VL11M, VL11M6 locomotives, EPL2T multiple-unit train and T4D tram, which operate in DC sections, Ukraine. The losses are calculated for different elements of an electric transport system, and their theoretical and statistical distributions with basic probabilistic characteristics are shown. The results prove the validity and applicability of the method.

We discuss the optimal control problem stated as the minimization in the L2-sense of the mismatch between the actual out-flux and a demand forecast for a hyperbolic conservation law that models a highly re-entrant production system. The output of the factory is described as a function of the work in progress and the position of the so-called push-pull point (PPP) where we separate the beginning of the factory employing a push policy from the end of the factory, which uses a pull policy.
