Due to its geographic location and developed transport infrastructure, Ukraine has a significant potential in the development of cargo transportation, primarily in international traffic, in particular as a transistor country in the logistics chain of trade between Asia and Europe. The possibilities of railway transport for the organization of transportation between the countries of the European Union and Ukraine are not used to the full extent, since there is a number of technical reasons of the transport systems incompatibility between Ukraine and European countries. In the course of the research, methods of analysis and synthesis were used to study prospects of the European and domestic system of international railway transportations, the experience of creating, operating and optimizing these systems. To compare the above mentioned options, the authors developed a model for predicting and assessing the efficiency of railway transport from the border of one state to the border of the other one. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

The purpose of the study is to create a new design of the working tip for the perforation of the soil when laying two or more buildings trenchless way and determine its rational parameters. Method. It is known that for static perforation in the formation of cavities in the soil for communication is traditionally used cone-shaped working elements, which is the most common, cheap and reliable. However, the study revealed inefficiency. The design of the working elements of the soil perforation for trenchless laying of two or more buildings simultaneously in the form of a tip, which consists of a wedge-shaped part and a control part in the form of a rectangle with half-cylinders. The basic principles and mathematical dependences of determining the size of the working body are described. Scientific novelty. Regularities of changes in soil pressure on the lateral, conical and wedge surface, flat and cylindrical part of the tip, allowed to obtain an analytical dependence for the calculation of the resistance force depending on the physical and mechanical properties of the soil, the diameter and the number of cases established simultaneously. Also, when comparing the cone-cylindrical and flat tips, it can be argued that the breakdown force of the flat tip decreases from 1.2 to 1.7 times. © The Authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2018.

The relevance of the topic of the article is due to the needs of scientific analysis of the process of reforming public administration in modern Ukraine to identify ways and opportunities for further improvement of public administration. The purpose of the study is to analyze the innovations of civil service in Ukraine, which are aimed at improving the performance and ensuring the quality of civil service. The research methodology includes a set of general scientific and special political science methods. The results of this paper demonstrate that Ukraine has moved quite a distance from the Soviet legacy as far as civil service is concerned. Nevertheless, the country still has a lot to be done: these achievements must be supported by steady efforts so as to make them irreversible and to significantly increase the efficiency of public administration. The practical importance is determined by the need to formulate priority ways of raising the country's economic competitiveness and promoting social welfare.

The performed analysis of scientific sources confirms the existence of a small number of publications devoted to the experimental research of the gasdynamics and plasmodynamics of jets used as a heat-transfer medium in the thermal methods of mine rocks destruction. There are almost no experimental and theoretical publications related to the multiple-jet plasmotrons research. The expediency of own experimental researches performing has been substantiated concerning the lateral inflow of heat-transfer medium high-speed jets on the borehole surface. An experimental research has been made of the interaction between the heat-transfer medium high-speed jets and the surface of the borehole imitated by the through duct. The further prospects of this work are the following: to determine the gas velocity along the lateral surface of the through duct and the value of the heating capacity coefficient from the heat-transfer medium to the lateral surface of the through duct, which imitates the rock surface in the borehole. These parameters are required for creating a mathematical model of the brittle destruction of rocks. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP Sciences.

Background Copanlisib, an intravenous pan-class I PI3K inhibitor, showed efficacy and safety as monotherapy in patients with relapsed or refractory indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma who had received at least two therapies. The CHRONOS-3 study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of copanlisib plus rituximab in patients with relapsed indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Methods CHRONOS-3 was a multicentre, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled, phase 3 study in 186 academic medical centres across Asia, Australia, Europe, New Zealand, North America, Russia, South Africa, and South America. Patients aged 18 years and older with an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status of no more than 2 and histologically confirmed CD20-positive indolent B-cell lymphoma relapsed after the last anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody-containing therapy and progression-free and treatment-free for at least 12 months, or at least 6 months for patients unwilling or unfit to receive chemotherapy, were randomly assigned (2:1) with an interactive voice-web response system via block randomisation (block size of six) to copanlisib (60 mg given as a 1-h intravenous infusion on an intermittent schedule on days 1, 8, and 15 [28-day cycle]) plus rituximab (375 mg/m2 given intravenously weekly on days 1, 8, 15, and 22 during cycle 1 and day 1 of cycles 3, 5, 7, and 9) or placebo plus rituximab, stratified on the basis of histology, progression-free and treatment-free interval, presence of bulky disease, and previous treatment with PI3K inhibitors. The primary outcome was progression-free survival in the full analysis set (all randomised patients) by masked central review. Safety was assessed in all patients who received at least one dose of any study drug. This study is registered with ***, NCT02367040 and is ongoing. Resource-saving technologies of railway transportation of grain freights for export

The research objective is to increase the efficiency of export railway transportation of grain freights in Ukraine by the introduction of consignor routing, a concentration of loading of grain on junction elevators and the organization of the movement of grain routes according to the schedule. According to the researchers in USA and EU, one of the effective directions for decreasing the expenses in a logistic chain of grain delivery to ports is consignor routing of railway transportation. Consignor routing of transportations of grain freights provides a concentration of their loading at junctions. The choice of junctions is proposed to be carried out on the basis of methods of the cluster analysis. For formation of regions for a concentration of grain loading the theory of sets and multicriteria optimization are used. As a result, on the basis of the modified simplex method are chosen 24 regions of possible concentration of grain loading that cover 70 stations on Ukrainian railways providing 7,5 million t consignor routing for grain in a year with minimal additional expenses. The assessment of the efficiency of railway transportation routing of grain freights is calculated with use of the developed simulation model. Researches showed that application of consignor routing allows to reduce a turn-round cycle for grain wagon in a logistic chain of deliveries up to 27%, and application of the schedule for consignor routes allows to reduce a turn-round cycle up to 62%, in comparison with transportation by car loading. Thus, as showed the calculations executed for one of the directions of grain transportation for export, the necessary operation park of grain-carrier wagons is reduced twice, thereby allowing to cut logistic expenses on a delivery of the Ukrainian grain through seaports to the world markets. © 2018 Warsaw university of Technology. Shunting locomotives are used to carry out shunting and clean-up operations on the routes of most private and state enterprises of industrial transport in various spheres of activity. In most cases, the power of these locomotives significantly exceeds the pre-determined volume of works, especially if the work has cyclical nature. One of the options for solving the problem of transportation for owners of small industrial enterprises, grain elevators and other similar enterprises may be the presence of their own traction rolling stock. Moreover, its technical and economic characteristics must fully comply with the conditions and volumes of shunting/clean-up operations of the enterprise. Definition of the most rational type of traction rolling stock should be carried out taking into account the available track infrastructure of the enterprise, volumes and organization of shunting and clean-up operations, organization of the system and production cost of maintenance and repair. The authors proposed a technique of comparative analysis of technical and operational indicators for the utilization of various types of traction rolling stock using traction calculation methods and ways to organize the operational performance. This will allow the owner of the industrial enterprise to choose the type of traction rolling stock (locomotive, locotractor or steam-accumulator locomotive), which most closely comply with the conditions of a particular enterprise. The optimization method for the electrically small linear wire antennas with lumped reactive loads included to their branches is first proposed. The results of the analysis and optimization of microwave characteristics of electrically small linear wire antennas with reactive loads are presented. The investigation was performed for Fe-B system alloys with boron content of 11.0-15.0 % (wt.), the rest is iron. We use microstructure analysis, X-ray structure analysis, differential thermal analysis and durometric one to determine physical properties of alloys. Accounting for the contribution of the first degree approximation of high-temperature expansion of the thermodynamic potential of FeB iron monoboride in a Fe-B binary alloy enables to study its thermodynamic stability. It is shown, that stability decrease of FeB iron monoboride at temperature of 1423 K allows suggesting, that at this temperature the phase transformation occurs, which correlates to differential thermal analysis results.
