Currently, active hostilities related to Russian aggression are taking place on the territory of Ukraine. The Zmeinyy Island, which has the great importance for the maritime economic zone of Ukraine, is no exception. The island is located 40 km east of the mouth of the river. Danube. In connection with its demilitarization and economic restoration, the problem of household and drinking water supply will become acute. Therefore, the search for drinking groundwater and the drilling of exploration and production boreholes will be a very important issue. Our report briefly reviews the results of complex geological and geophysical studies carried out by the Dnepropetrovsk geophysical expedition "Dneprogeofizika" on the island in 2002. Detailed integrated geophysical surveys to study the geological and hydrogeological structure of the island Zmeinyy included: gravimetric observations on a network of 20 x 10 m, magnetometric - 10 x 5 m and electrometric (DUS-IP) - 40 x 5 m. According to the results of geological and geophysical studies, the presence of three water-bearing strata in the depth intervals was established: 38.0 - 54.6 m;57.6 - 74.0 m;80.8 - 109.4 g. Drilled three wells No. 1;2;4 have a fresh water flow rate of up to 10 m3 per day each. For the physical and chemical control of the selected water samples, the wells were equipped with special autonomous sensors, which showed that the breach of the natural regime of the island's groundwater occurs during the constant exploitation of well No. 2. An analysis of the initial data of daily observations of the dynamic and physicochemical parameters of groundwater indicates that the anthropogenic factor makes a significant contribution to the formation of the hydrodynamic, temperature, and hydrochemical regimes of the island. © 2022 EAGE. At the post-war stage, there will be an urgent need to provide drinking (fresh) water to the population of the de-occupied territories of southeastern Ukraine and its economic needs. The authors of the report comprehensively reviewed the geophysical surveys of different years carried out by the dnipropetrovsk geophysical expedition "dniprogeofizika" with the aim of using them to identify promising areas for underground water exploration. As an example, the results of geophysical works on the Blagodatne - Olhino square (Donetsk region) are considered. In tectonic terms, it is located within the zone of Donbas with the Azov crystalline massif jouning. Its geological structure includes limestones (formation C11), shales and sandstones (formations C12, C13) of the Lower Carboniferous, sedimentary and effusive deposits of the Devonian and rocks of the Archean gneiss-migmatite complex. Based on the results of geophysical research, four systems of tectonic disturbances were identified: sublatitudinal (azimuth up to 100º), submeridian (320-340º), north-eastern (60-70º) and meridional (0-10º). The systems of sublatitudinal and submeridional extension prevail here. The results of the complex interpretation of the materials show that the rocks within the zones of large discontinuities from intensive open-type planar fracturing are distinguished by the greatest waterlogging. Submeridional and sublatitudinal disturbances are characterized by the greatest wateriness. One of the main factors that determines the high water permeability of rocks and the prospects of the area is the capacity of the aquifer. The increased density of loose sandy-clay deposits of the Paleogene-Neogene, covering the limestones, is an unfavorable factor that complicates the infiltration feeding of the C1t, C1x, and C12 aquifers. © 2023 17th International Conference Monitoring of Geological Processes and Ecological Condition of the Environment, Monitoring 2023. The mechanism of discharge of excess surface water in the geological environment is considered on the example of a quarry in the south of Kryvbas. They can lead to dangerous landslide processes in the form of collapses of the sides of pits, dumps, slurries, causing significant damage to the enterprises, to agricultural lands and the population. In 2021, field observations were carried out to assess the impact of mining operations in the quarry on the Ingulets River (the right tributary of the Dnipro River) using the methods of electrical exploration (various modifications), natural field and gravity method. Processing of the results of field geophysical observations was carried out by the method of comparative statistical analysis of previously obtained and current data. In the course of research, the impact of the release of huge volumes of water from the Karachun Reservoir into the Ingulets River was recorded and studied, which caused a significant and rapid rise in the water level in the river and waterlogging of the quarry slopes with ground water. The obtained results showed how the hydrogeodynamic process in underground waters occurs during significant surface water irrigation of the sedimentary cover in areas with open and closed fault systems. The obtained results confirmed the possibility of conducting research using the method of natural field to study the mechanism of rapid water saturation with waters of the geological section and ways of their discharge. The method showed the prospects of its application in areas with open and closed fault systems. The NF method is not expensive and operational, which makes it possible to use it at the initial stage of monitoring to identify the zone of detected landslide development. dnipropetrovsk geophysical expedition (DGE) "dniprogeofizika" during 2000-2011 carried out works on collection, analysis and formation of an electronic gravimetric data base (GDB) of the territory of Ukraine. Based on the results of the work carried out, a systematization of the materials of all conditional gravimetric surveys in scales of 1:200000 - 1:1000 was carried out. The database was created for the purpose of systematization, reliable storage and operative application of digital attributes of gravimetric surveys of the last years with a possibility of construction of gravimetric maps of various territories and scales. Information from the database makes it possible to study both the general structure of individual tectonic structures, and to perform detailing to obtain additional information about the structural features of each element. As an example, materials on the study of the engineering and geological conditions of the southern industrial zone of KryVisual Basic Expressas are given. The use of the GDB allows to correctly supplement the picture of the gravitational field obtained from individual profiles when constructing multi-scale spatial maps and to reflect more detail the structural features of the upper part of the earth's crust. © 2021 20th International Conference Geoinformatics: Theoretical and Applied Aspects.
