Air pollution has emerged as a critical issue in several major urban areas, including Jakarta. To address this problem, the study explores the utilization of the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method. Three distinct approaches are investigated in this research: the Support Vector Classifier (SVC), Deep Artificial Neural Network (Deep ANN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The available Air Quality data were utilized to train and assess the performance of the proposed ANN models. The research findings reveal that the Deep ANN model surpasses the other methods, achieving an impressive accuracy of approximately 96.57% and a cross-entropy value of 0.1103. In predicting air quality in Jakarta, Deep ANN has demonstrated superior performance when compared to SVC and LSTM. These results highlight the significant potential of deploying Deep Artificial Neural Network (ANN) methodologies for air quality prediction. Such an approach could play a pivotal role in the development of monitoring and early warning systems aimed at effectively addressing air quality issues in the Jakarta region. © 2023 IEEE.

Rising cyber risks have compelled organizations to adopt better cyber-protection measures. This study focused on discovering crucial security metrics and assessing the function of red teaming in enhancing cybersecurity defenses against novel cyber hazards. The PRISMA standard considered nine core research works issued between 2014 and 2023. The inclusion of red teaming best practices can significantly enhance cybersecurity architecture. Accurate simulations of cyber threats during red teaming exercises help identify vulnerabilities, and actively embracing red teaming can amplify an organization's capacity to repel future cyber assaults. Researchers and practitioners can utilize the study's insights to pioneer novel security solutions. Combining red teaming methodologies with relevant metrics is essential for enhancing cybersecurity posture. The study's discoveries grant companies a priceless benefit in navigating the rapidly changing cyber threat environment and reinforcing their cyber protection mechanisms. © 2023 IEEE.

The Information Technology/Operational Technology convergence towards Industry 4.0 opens the opportunity to leverage recent advancements in Information Technology for Operational Technology, such as Cloud, Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence. Meanwhile, cyber-attacks are increasing for Operational Technology. The security aspect in Operational Technology systems has traditionally been a low priority, in contrast with speed. This introduces challenges as Industrial Control Systems such as programmable Logic Controller in Operational Technology have been traditionally optimized for speed rather than security due to limited computing power. As computations need to be as efficient as possible, security in Operational Technology has yet to be managed as robustly as in Information Technology. Operational Technology communication protocols for securing data transfer, for example, have no or just a few security capabilities, even for basic authentication and encryption. Common security algorithms rely on random numbers. However, Random Number Generator is not usually part of standard functions in programmable Logic Controllers, the core control component in Industrial Control Systems. In Industrial Control Systems, the Random Number Generator is mostly implemented as a software-based Pseudo Random Number Generator. This paper shows how to apply a Pseudo Random Number Generator in a Siemens Compact PLC S7-1200 using a modified lightweight XORshift algorithm. The XORshift algorithm can generate better randomness than the system's clock-based implementation in the Siemens Library of Generic Functions. © 2023 IEEE.

Digital tourism village potentially accelerates rural development hence improving a country's economy. The Indonesian government has developed hundreds of tourism villages in recent years but has yet to popularize the development of digital villages. Technology design and development are pivotal factors in tourism villages' digitalization. Therefore, the development digital tourism village must consider village readiness by measuring technology adoption readiness or technology acceptance of the corresponding stakeholders. This paper presents the technology acceptance analysis in the context of a digital tourism village. We use a quantitative analysis approach using the TAM-UTAUT model with data collected from a questionnaire of 101 villagers (n=101) in Pasanggrahan Village, West Java, Indonesia. This research uses machine learning with clustering procedures to analyze the level of technology adoption readiness by implementing K-means Clustering algorithm. In addition, to observe the significance of each influencing factor to the technology adoption readiness level, feature importance analysis approach using Extra tree classifier algorithm is employed. The research finds that attitude toward use, perceived ease of use, and facilitating condition-have a considerable impact on the degree of readiness for technology adoption. On the other hand, the perceived utility and social impact are found to have minimal bearing on the preparedness level for technology adoption. Perceived ease of use and facilitating conditions are the most important factors to afford the acceleration of technology adoption readiness. The research contributes to the development of a digital tourism village and the analysis of technology adoption readiness using machine learning. © 2024 IEEE.

The proliferation of data has become an inevitable consequence of the digital age as individuals across all domains increasingly rely on data for various purposes. Both companies and governments have a significant need for data. However, the sheer volume and complexity of this data, along with the potential risks associated with mishandling it, necessitate the establishment of a framework known as data governance. The primary objective of this research paper is to examine the factors that contribute to the effective implementation and utilization of Data governance. This study employs qualitative methods and adopts a systematic literature review approach to address the research inquiry: 'What are the important factors that determine the utilization of data governance technology?' Through the systematic literature review, a total of 41 key factors were identified from 20 research literatures that have been found to significantly impact the effective implementation of data governance. There are thirteen primary technological factors that hold significance in the realm of data governance. These factors encompass technology, application and use, storage of data, sharing, archiving, and preservation, big data algorithmic systems, data flow, deletion, diversity of data, mechanisms, size of data, control, and data integrity. © 2023 IEEE.

This research explores the intricate relationship between questionnaire structures and the accuracy of learning style predictions among students. Focusing on the balance between core and secondary questions, the study meticulously analyzes various ratios, emphasizing their impact on the learning style classification system. Through rigorous testing and integration of the Felder-Silverman Learning Style Model (FSLSM) with the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm, the research uncovers crucial insights. Results showcase that a careful balance and distribution of questions significantly enhance the accuracy of predicting student learning styles, with accuracy rates reaching up to 89%. This study not only emphasizes the importance of personalized education but also demonstrates the practical applicability of advanced machine learning techniques. The findings provide a roadmap for the future of education, emphasizing a nuanced, question-specific approach for a more accurate, tailored, and responsive learning experience. © 2023 IEEE.

Hoaxes are something that can not be avoided, especially in Indonesia, where the literacy rate in Indonesia is quite low, they are easy to believe in news without doing fact check. The worst thing is that news that is trusted by the public may not be read completely through the entire content. They believe, from the title alone could already covers the entire content of the news. Media in the other side, are also competing to make controversial titles so that their traffic is improved. The research that will be carried out by us is where we can classify a news whether it is a fact or a hoax from the title alone. The RoBERTa (A Robustly Optimized BERT Pretraining Approach) model will be used in this study, because in several previous studies RoBERTa has proven to be good for classification. The accuracy achieved in this study also reached 99.52% with an accuracy validation of 93.84% which shows that even with an imbalanced dataset the classification shows a promising result by using the RoBERTa model which data is balanced using the undersampling method. © 2022 IEEE.

This article describes the architecture of software services that provide registration of small boat data to build maritime safety. The proposed system architecture which so-called SIMKAPEL aims to support small boat registration for maritime safety. It is developed from a conventional service-oriented architecture (SOA) with an open standard for data interoperability between elements. The goal of this research is to implement and evaluate the proposed architecture to support small boat registration and e-certification. Several parts of the architecture have been implemented as a platform that provides core services and data sources to be used by Ministry of Transportation, Directorate General of Sea Transportation, and other government agencies. Finally, the proposed SIMKAPEL platform with the SOA architecture is evaluated for its benefits to users through the expert opinion survey to measure its efficiency. The analysis results showed that SOA-based SIMKAPEL is feasible to use as a boat e-certification system. Furthermore, experiment results provide three parameters (e.g., maritime safety, namely, cargo/passengers, boat safety facilities, and maritime safety systems) with efficiency values of 42%, 46%, and 42%, respectively. The parameter with the highest efficiency shows a big effect on the level of safety of the boat and passengers. Thus, the parameters that need to be prioritized and need boat owners’ attention are cargo/passenger, boat safety equipment, and maritime safety system. © 2023, The Author(s).

Efficiency of Multi-Language Data Serialization for Hybrid Cloud-Edge HRIS

In hybrid cloud-edge systems, data processing is distributed between cloud servers and edge servers, this makes data serialization critical for efficient data transfer between servers. This study evaluates the efficiency of multi-language data serialization of Human Resources Information System (HRIS) in a hybrid cloud-edge environment. Because lack of existing studies that specifically evaluate multi-language data serialization for hybrid cloud-edge HRIS, this study conducted a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to get the list of current state of the art of data serialization methods and then used this result to evaluate the methods. By focusing on HRIS employee data from the employee management module, this study measures both data serialization and deserialization using performance metrics of time, data size, and CPU usage. The results indicate that no methods excel in all metrics, but FlatBuffers, Protocol Buffer, and Apache Avro can provide balanced effectivity across the metrics. The study gives valuable insight for selecting data serialization methods, architecture, and systems requirements in hybrid cloud-edge HRIS to ensure the performance efficiency of the system.

The Internet of Things (IoT) was evaluated as part of this study. The IoT system in this study is the air quality monitoring system. The system consists of three layers, three end devices with air quality monitoring sensors as the perception layer, the LoRaWAN network as the network layer, and the monitoring website as the presentation layer. Before being made available to the public, IoT hardware and software must undergo testing. For IoT systems, there are no established standards or quality criteria. This study's goal is to evaluate the methodology for an air quality monitoring system. Website speed is measured using Pingdom tools. The website received a performance grade of B. Pingdom offers advice for enhancing website performance. Sucuri is utilized as a security test tool to evaluate the website's security, and consequently, no malware was discovered. The latency and data dependability are monitored to assess the system's performance fully. The outcome demonstrates that all system components consistently and accurately receive data with a latency of less than 1 s. © 2023 IEEE.
