This research investigates the novel application of Dynamic Game Balancing (DGB) techniques in the context of a hybrid chess-survival roguelike game, a unique combination of genres not widely explored in previous studies. The study addresses two primary research questions: the identification of suitable DGB techniques for these genres and the enhancement of user experience through DGB. A game prototype was developed using Unity, where players control a chess knight in a turn-based system, facing increasingly challenging enemy pieces. The DGB system dynamically adjusts the game's difficulty based on player performance, utilizing various inputs such as damage received or dealt, health points, powerup usage, and decision speed. Preliminary results from 14 beta-testers show overall positive feedback, with players reporting higher engagement and enjoyment due to the seamless difficulty adjustments, as reflected by the high mean scores from surveys like the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). This research fills a gap in the literature by demonstrating the feasibility and benefits of integrating DGB in a chess-survival roguelike setting. These findings highlight the potential for DGB to significantly improve player experience in hybrid game genres, suggesting that its application can create more adaptive and immersive gaming environments in various other genres as well.

Due to the disparity in the levels of difficulty presented by the several tasks, doing domain adaptation in an adversarial way may result in an imbalanced learning process. In the MNIST dataset, this phenomenon also manifests itself in the form of domain adaptation for color-shifted distribution. In this particular situation, the domain classifier has a higher tendency to fit more quickly, but the category classifier fits quite poorly in the learning process. In order to address this problem, a new hyper-parameter has been added to the loss function in order to strike a compromise between the learning speed of the domain and the categorical classifier. By using this technique, the categorical classifier may better match the data while still maintaining the same level of performance as the domain classifier. In order to determine whether or not making use of this hyper-parameter is useful, the phenomena in question is examined using three distinct color-shifted settings. Following the evaluations, it was discovered that the newly introduced hyper-parameter is capable of coping with imbalanced learning while simultaneously engaging in domain adaptation. © 2023 IEEE.

The improvement of some aspects in tourism industry needs further study through aspect-based sentiment analysis based on tourist experience. The aim of this study is presenting the empiric results of aspect-based sentiment analysis to extract some useful aspects of services for leveraging tourism industry development based on user's feedback. The study uses customer review data from TripAdvisor website for developing classification model using machine learning algorithms including Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest Classifier (RFC), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) models. Each machine learning model under study is trained using K-Fold Cross Validation. The empiric results found that accuracy of RFC achieved the highest result (99.5%) followed by XGBoost (87.3%), DT (82.9%), and SVM (80.5%). The extracted meaningful aspects from customer feedback give many valuable insights for service quality improvement in tourism industry in the effort to strengthening the rising-up of sustainability economic growth through tourism industry. © 2022 IEEE.

Education is always the most important part of our lives. To make education make a significant impact on today's learners, teaching and learning must evolve to match with today's learner's profile. Any education including vocational education has an important role in economic development and one of the ways to maximize the contribution of vocational educations is strengthening the link and match with the world of work [1]. As the technology also keeps evolving and it is getting more and more advanced, one technology that has significant traction lately is the mixed reality system and is often used for education purposes. Most big ICT companies like Microsoft, and HTC are racing to develop mixed reality systems to help the teaching and learning process to be more effective and efficient. Where everything is cloud-based, having a cloud-based mixed reality system is just makes sense but will have a great challenge and considered as a big ICT project. One of the ways to make the ICT project successful is to make a blueprint before it is started. The objective of this paper is how to develop an ICT Blueprint for implementing a cloud-based mixed reality system for machinery vocational schools to make the project have a higher success rate. © 2022 IEEE.

The use of technology nowadays does not feel strange. Everyday people who use technology for their daily needs, starting with each other, seeking knowledge, can even earn income by doing business using technology. Social media is a tool that can be used by people to become with each other by creating, sharing, and exchanging information virtually through a network. However, in the current era, the notion of social media is not only about exchanging information, but also to support business products. The problem is how to compete tightly in this modern era in increasing the selling value of business products. The positive impact of social media for sales in business products are huge such as, increase sales, increase product promotion, greater market distribution. On the other side, the negative impact also takes part such as, the more competitors, the products compete fiercely in the market. This research aims to identify more the impact of social media on sales of business products that focused on business, benefit, and factor. The research method that we used is quantitative which focuses on the number of samples of respondents to support the research results and the results are in the form of a graphic that shows the answers of the respondents to the questionnaire. © 2023 IEEE.

Batik is an Indonesian world cultural heritage. Batik consists of many kinds of patterns depending on where the batik comes from, Batik-making techniques continue to develop along with technology development. Among the batik making techniques that are widely used are hand-written, stamping, and printing. Batik motifs have been widely used as research material, especially in the field of artificial intelligence. The diverse appearance of batik motifs has attracted many researchers to carry out research on making synthetic batik patterns, one of which uses a Generative Adversarial Network. This paper presents a synthetic batik pattern model based on the Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network with Gradient Penalty. This model has been proven to create new synthetic batik patterns quite well and almost identical with images provided in the dataset, with the notes if the dataset provided is large. © 2023 IEEE.

The process of using ICT to provide services to the public is known as the Indonesian e-Government system, or Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik (SPBE). The e-Government initiative in Jakarta Provincial Health Office involves enhancing collaboration among public health entities for efficient data exchange and streamlined processes, especially between the Provincial and District Health Offices, public hospitals, government clinics, and primary health care centers (Puskesmas). Achieving interoperability requires standardized protocols and a well-defined architectural model to integrate data seamlessly. This study presents a provincial-level architectural model focused on improving electronic health records interoperability, aiming to promote the adoption of the national Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) health information exchange platform and enhance the integrity of health data in Jakarta. The study methodology involves conducting literature reviews, observations, and discussions with representatives from healthcare facilities to develop the e-Government architecture model and prototype of the infrastructure layer aiming to facilitate the interoperability of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) across 93 healthcare facilities, all of which are part of the SPBE users. © 2024 IEEE.

Indoor positioning systems (IPS) are critical for enabling accurate navigation, asset tracking, and emergency response in indoor environments where GPS fails. This study evaluates five machine learning algorithms-K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), Decision Tree, and Random Forest-using two benchmark datasets, UJIIndoorLoc and UTSIndoorLoc. The results reveal that SVM achieves the highest accuracy, with 81.3 % on UJIIndoorLoc and 92 % on UTSIndoorLoc, followed by MLP with $\mathbf{7 8. 8 \%}$ and 90.9 %, respectively. Random Forest provides stable performance, with 77.6 % and 86.08 %, while KNN reaches 75 % and 89.7 %, performing well in structured environments. Decision Tree shows the lowest accuracy, 71.2 % and 76.54 %, highlighting its limitations with complex data. The UTSIndoorLoc dataset consistently yields higher accuracies, demonstrating its structured signal distribution. These findings underscore SVM and MLP as optimal algorithms for Wi-Fi fingerprinting IPS, offering robust and scalable solutions for indoor localization.

The increasing number of articles available in the digital library will require quite a long time and accuracy in sorting articles according to needs. The use of artificial neural networks in finding the right articles as needed through topic segmentation applications will helps this process in terms of speed and accuracy. Several neural network models used in segmentation topic applications include Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The Transformer model since its introduction in 2017 for Natural Language Processing (NLP) has a better level of accuracy compared to the RNN, CNN and LSTM models. Transformer model research for segmentation topic applications, especially articles in Indonesian language, is still very limited. This paper will discuss the use of the Transformer model in segmentation topic applications for Indonesian-language articles. The experimental results found that the accuracy produced by the Transformer model was higher than previous LSTM model with the WindowDiff value generated by the model proposed using Transformer is 0.249 and the LSTM baseline model is 0.363, while the PP! value generated by the proposed model is 0.279 and the LSTM baseline model is 0.394. © 2023 The Authors. Blockchain, Metaverse & NFT are technologies that were booming during the Pandemic. As a derivative product of blockchain, the Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is one of the technologies that has attracted the most interest from investors and the public because of its potential benefits and has always been closely associated with the Metaverse as a main purposes research of the NFTs. This paper is to explore the possibilities and provide an overview of the current use of NFT technology so that it can provide insight for further research & gap with the big picture that it is trying to present in this paper. However, after exploring further related to NFT in this research, it was found that the problem that most people are trying to solve through NFT is related to the topic of Decentralization & Web3 not as a Metaverse main backbone. © 2023 IEEE.
