This paper presents a GPU-based parallel implementation of the Enhanced Jaya (EJAYA) algorithm for solving large-scale systems of nonlinear equations. EJAYA is a gradient-free metaheuristic optimization scheme based on the population-based parameter-less Jaya algorithm that has recently been shown to be capable of solving nonlinear equation systems, a class of challenging problems that are difficult to solve by traditional approaches, particularly as systems become larger. The proposed parallel algorithm was implemented using the Julia programming language on a high-performance GeForce RTX 3090 GPU with 10 496 CUDA cores and 24 GB GDDR6X VRAM and was tested using a set of difficult scalable nonlinear equation system problems. The obtained results, with average speedups up to 122.25x, evidenced the capability of the proposed GPU-based parallel algorithm to meet the computational demands of the important class of problems under consideration. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

This paper presents a microservices-driven digital twin (DT) model for precision farming in controlled indoor environments, addressing the critical need for scalable, modular, and real-time agricultural systems. As the global demand for food rises, integrating Industry 4.0, IoT, edge, and cloud computing technologies becomes essential to improve farming process. The proposed model enhances scalability, modularity, and real-time decision making through decentralized data processing. A master-agent containerized computing architecture was employed to reduce latency and optimize environmental control. Moreover, the integration of a Kalman filter improved the accuracy of key environmental parameter adjustments. This research explored how this model can be scaled for larger farming operations and addresses challenges in system interoperability and implementation. Future work will expand this research to diverse agricultural settings, real-world validation, and ensuring data privacy and security. This study provides a framework for advancing precision farming through digital twin technology. © 2024 IEEE.

The increasing use of Information Technology (IT) in all areas of life, followed by increasing cybersecurity threats on the user side, makes cybersecurity awareness among users an obligation that must be met. Several solutions currently available (guides, discussion forums, workshops) have not been able to provide good results and are lacking in terms of user engagement, adaptability, and optimizing available resources, so technology-based learning is needed, especially AI. This paper introduces the design and prototype of an AI-based learning system, especially with the Naive Retrieval-Augmented Generation (Naive RAG) method with three steps, including Retrieval, Augmented, and Generation. The system combines contextual user questions and answers with internal and domain knowledge systems to explain cybersecurity awareness to users dynamically and personally. The prototype that has been developed is then tested using the Black Box Testing method to evaluate functionality and usability. The test results show that the functionality of the system built has run well with a percentage of success of 100%, so it can be used as a technologybased learning medium for education and learning of user security awareness. © 2025 IEEE.

Currently, hypervisor technology is an emerging topic of research. Virtualization technology, especially hypervisors and virtual machines (VM), has been widely studied but is still little applied in the cyber-physical systems (CPS) field. A hypervisor, or VM monitor (VMM), is a software program used to run multiple VMs on a single physical machine through space and time partitioning in a real-time operating system. This paper discusses the hypervisor technology to prevent software interference and to minimize size, weight, and power-cost (SWaP-C) in cyber physical systems, as well as, the application of hypervisor technology in the aerospace, automotive and control fields. By partitioning, a hypervisor can increase software safety because application programs with different criticality levels do not affect each other in failure when run in partitioned VMs. © 2024 IEEE.

A green-oriented project management system will be different from projects in general. Differences occur in the planning process to the construction process. To support sustainable and environmentally friendly development, it is very necessary to implement green buildings. For this reason, the Indonesian government, through the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Ministry, has standards regarding green buildings in the form of indicators of green construction variables as requirements for green building certification. Green construction practices also influence performance achievements, such as cost, schedule, quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety (OHS) performance, hereinafter referred to as project performance variables. The aim of the research is to identify green construction indicators that will be applied and project performance indicators that will be used to assess project performance in green construction based project management. There are 17 indicators from the results of previous research synthesis. Meanwhile, the project performance variables obtained were nine cost performance items, five schedule performance items, six quality performance items, and eight OHS performance items. Analysis using the Delphi method, the first round was carried out to identify indicators for each variable that were ranked in the high category. The second round was to obtain consensus from all respondents. The Delphi survey was conducted using Google Form on 20 respondents representing all stakeholders in the construction services industry and project owners with a five-point Likert scale. The analysis resulted in 17 indicators identified in the initial survey being highly rated for application to green projects. There are the following three steps to increase users of cutting-edge measurement instruments produced by university research: (1) providing information on their use at scientific conferences, (2) conducting collaborative research between the developers and users of the instruments, and (3) providing a contract measurement service to researchers wanting to use the instruments as needed. This research study aims to determine the criteria for selecting suitable operating organization handling contract measurement service above when it is located within or outside the university. As model cases, we investigated the following two types of businesses that operate university-owned instruments to provide measurement results: shared-use facilities for industry-academia collaborations operated by universities (university organizations) and university-launched companies (companies) performing outsourced services under an instrument-use agreement with the universities. We interviewed three university organizations and three companies about their challenges and success points in managing their organizations. A comparison of the interviews revealed that 'maintenance of the organization,' 'hiring human resources,' and 'expanding customer base' are the criteria for selecting the two types of businesses. © 2023 PICMET (Portland International Center for Management of engineering and Technology(.

Three radiation detection tools were employed to assess natural radiation levels in Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi, Indonesia. These tools comprised the NaI(Tl) Scintillator, the Geiger Muller Counter (GMC), and the Electronic Personal Dosimeter (EPD). The NaI(Tl) Scintillator and GMC measured ambient dose equivalent (H*(10)), while the EPD exclusively gauged personal dose equivalent (Hp(10)). A total of 75 measuring points were designated for assessment. Results from H*(10) measurements indicated that the GMC recorded an average H*(10) 41% higher than that of the NaI(Tl) Scintillator, with specific rates of 0.769 µSv/h and 0.457 µSv/h, respectively. Both instruments exhibited proficiency in detecting elevated levels of radiation. Discrepancies in the outcomes were attributed to differences in detector type and efficiency. The GMC, equipped with an energy-compensated detector, demonstrated enhanced efficiency compared to the NaI(Tl) Scintillator, particularly when subjected to high energy flux radiation. Anomalies emerged in the Hp(10) measurements, which surpassed the H*(10) measurements. This difference is due to the EPD's use of a conventional GM detector, which is capable of detecting gamma, beta, and X-ray radiation. © 2025 Published by IRCS-ITB.

Automatic Identification System (AIS) data contains static and dynamic information for identification, tracking, and collision avoidance of vessels, as well as management of maritime activities. In the utilization of AIS data, a data pipeline framework is needed which includes the process of capturing messages, translating messages, detecting data corruption, cleaning damaged data, reconstructing trajectories, visualizing data, and storing data for analysis needs. Usually, the analysis and storage of AIS data are done offline which makes it not conducive to understanding vessel dynamics. In addition, large AIS data contains incomplete and noisy information that affects the quality of the trajectory. In this context, this article has proposed an AIS data pipeline framework in the form of pre-processing and real-time trajectory reconstruction. Pre-processing is intended to eliminate data anomalies caused by transmission errors. While the trajectory reconstruction process to overcome missing values due to noise is based on the Cubic Spline interpolation technique. All processes in the data pipeline framework are streamed using Apache Kafka. The simulation results show that the proposed AIS data pipelines framework has succeeded in visualizing the data flow in the form of a map application and trajectory reconstruction in real-time. © 2022 IEEE.

Since 2014, photographer Stephen Shore has been exploring Instagram as a new body of work, having its own online portfolio entry next to iconic series as American Surfaces and Uncommon Places. Instead of joining contemporary debates concerning the crisis of representation implicit in the networked condition of the photographic image, Shore is keen to engage with Instagram through the lens of modernism, concentrating his attention on the visual characteristics intrinsic to photography as a medium, a reasoning previously encapsulated in the primer The Nature of Photographs. Building upon selected samples from Shore’s pre-digital archive in addition to his most recent series, Details, the research takes @*** as a significant case study to examine how Instagram affects the modernist emphasis on seeing photographically the ordinary, evaluating the contemporary relevance of Shore’s networked notational impulse when many Instagram users engage with photography to keep a quasi-diaristic practice. Looking at the traces of everyday life, envisaged for Instagram or the gallery wall, the camera is but a tool for reflecting upon a concept Shore long borrowed from the great writer T. S. Fine Tuning Attribute Weighted Naïve Bayes (FTAWNB) is a reliable modified Naïve Bayes model. Even though it is able to provide high accuracy on ordinal data, this model is sensitive to outliers. To improve the performance of FTAWNB, this research modified the Partial Instances Reduction (PIR) technique to make the FTAWNB more adaptive to outliers. Nevertheless, in contrast to the original PIR technique, which substitutes missing values for data values deemed outliers, the PIR technique suggested in this study replaces data values deemed outliers using a Naïve Bayes weighting approach. The attribute values from the outlier data are replaced with the highest probability values for the attributes in the actual class. This PIR technique is referred to as modified PIR. The FTAWNB model with modified PIR has been evaluated using the Gaming Disorder dataset. Replacing the four attributes with the least amount of information resulted in accuracy gains of 99.74%, an increase of 1.53% over the FTAWNB model. The experimental result shows that adding the modified PIR technique to the FTAWNB model can handle the outlier in the data, proving it by increasing the performance in terms of accuracy, precision, and recall without pruning the dataset used. © 2025, Ital Publication.
