The learning methods used by teachers in schools in Serang City are very ineffective, especially during the pandemic. This is because not integrated content of material in one subject with other subjects. Never mind between subjects, sometimes the material is not well integrated. The purpose of this study is to provide an alternative learning method during a pandemic, namely a method that integrates material with the realities of life which is abbreviated as IMR (Integrated Realistic Material). The method in this research is Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE model. In making this learning method according to the stages from the ADDIE study. The results of this study are in the form of learning methods that are integrated with the realities of life during the pandemic. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Natural antimicrobial properties of liquid smoke derived from cocoa pod shells in meatball preservation

The liquid smoke, which is produced by pyrolyzing wood materials containing cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, can be used to preserve food. Phenolic, acetic, and carbonyl compounds found in liquid smoke can serve as a natural preservative. This study aimed to determine meatball preservation ability of liquid smoke from cocoa pod shells. Specifically, cocoa pod shells were converted to liquid smoke using slow pyrolysis at three different temperatures, 300 °C, 340 °C and 380 °C. Prior to its use, liquid smoke was purified using distillation at 190 °C. Liquid smoke at concentrations of 0.5%–3.0% was then used to preserve meatballs using an immersion method. Total volatile base-nitrogen (TVB-N), total plate count (TPC), and most probable number (MPN) analyses were used to evaluate preservation performance of liquid smoke. The statistical methods for MPN using one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey's tests. The SNI (Standar Nasional Indonesia) threshold to test whether meatballs remained fresh (TVB-N <20 mg N/g). TPC test results indicated that beef meatballs stay fresh at room temperature for 42 h or 48 h of storage using 0.5% or 1%–3% liquid smoke concentrations, respectively. Based on MPN tests showed meatballs could last for 48 h for all samples. Liquid smoke produced from cocoa pod shells can be used as a natural preservative for beef meatballs;however, liquid smoke concentrations influence the maximum preservation period for meatballs. © 2023 The Author(s)

Crystal structure of the ζ2′ martensite in a Au-49.5at%Cd ally has been analyzed by the single crystal x-ray diffraction method. The crystal lattice was trigonal and the lattice constants were a=0.8095(3) and c=0.57940(6) nm. There were 18 atoms in a unit cell. The space group was P3, which was different from that previously determined by Vatanayon and Hehemann. The structure was refined by the full matrix least squares method to a final R factor of 7.8% and a weighted R factor of 4.1%.

According to the market research report, the nuclear decommissioning services market is currently experiencing considerable growth, with a projected Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of nearly 13% during the 2020–2024 forecast period. This expansion is primarily fueled by the advancement of Industry 4.0, in conjunction with the emergence of cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, and 5G. Even though the fact that robots have already been utilized in the nuclear industry, their adoption has been hindered by conservative regulations. However, the nuclear decommissioning market presents an opportunity for the advancement of robotics technology. The British have already invested heavily in encouraging the use of intelligent robots for nuclear decommissioning, and other countries, such as Taiwan, should follow suit. Taiwan's flourishing robotics development industry in manufacturing, logistics, and other domains can be leveraged to introduce advanced robotics in the decommissioning of its nuclear power plants. By doing so, Taiwan can establish itself as a competitive player in the nuclear decommissioning services market for the next two decades. © 2023 Korean Nuclear Society

This paper addresses the dynamic location management for personal communication sen'ice (PCS) networks with popular hexagonal celluar architectures. We first introduce a coordinate system for the hexagonal celluar architectures. Then, we develop an all-direction mobility model based on the coordinate system for the hexagonal cellular architecture to cope with the mobility patterns of mobile terminals (MTs). By using the proposed model, the shape and size of the local area in the dynamic location update scheme are determined optimally.

Past air sampling detection (ASD) systems had no definitive positioning;most allocation of sampling points was based on experience. This research discovered that sampling points inside the electrical rooms were significantly affected by the ambient airflow, causing the detection system to have difficulties in fire detection. Fire dynamics simulator (FDS) was used to simulate very early smoke detection apparatus (VESDA) effectiveness within the protection area of an electrical room. Results showed that ASD sampling points in electrical rooms should be placed above high-voltage transformers and capacitors, while rearranging the high risk machines together to avoid long detection pipelines, which increases the transportation time of the gas, thus hindering early detection by the ASD system. Field tests using a smoke detector tester yielded transportation times of 33 s, which was in very good agreement with the simulated results of 35 s by ASPIRE, showing the accuracy of using software to simulate transportation times. Therefore, this research combined FDS with the transportation times of different pipeline designs to conduct performance assessment of VESDA. After appropriate rearrangement of machines, VESDA detection times dropped from 106.0-171.0 s during the original setup to 21.0-31.7 s, assuring the facility to have more time for emergency response. However, it was noticed that FDS software did not have the estimation tool for VESDA transportation times;therefore software such as ASPIRE should be used to calculate the gas transportation times inside the detection pipelines, and then compiled with FDS results to avoid underestimation of actuation times. © 2017 The Authors. The research was conducted to determine the subsurface layer type in the Sutami Dam area using magnetic methods. This study aims to determine the subsurface soil type in the area around the Sutami Dam. The instrument used in data collection was the Proton Precession Magnetometer (PPM) Scientrex Model G-8. The data collection area covers the Kromengan region (112.494oE;8.129oS) to the Sukorame area (112.358oE;-8.213oS). The area covers the Sutami Dam area. The research area is 15 km x 15 km or with an area of 225 KM with a space between points 300 m. From the data acquisition, it was found that the number of data collection points was 1372 points. The types of subsurface layers based on the 2,5 D Talwani modeling are soil, pumice, limestone, sandy tuff, sandstone, andesite, and lava. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. Education to the public on green products has been widely carried out. Consumers who buy green products can be profiled by segmenting green consumers. In green marketing, consumer education on sustainable consumption is increasingly needed in recent years due to the problem of environmental pollution which poses a serious threat to the world population. Concern for the environment is an important topic in most countries, and individuals also study environmental issues. Individuals or groups of individuals who are 'ecologically aware' are also referred to as 'green consumers.' Such consumers are considered to have more concern for the environment. This study examined the predictions on the effect of the Green Perceived Value variables consisting of functional, conditional, and social values on the purchase intention of green consumers. It also tested the comparisons with other classification models. The models used in this research were Random Forest, Decision Tree, and Neural Network.. © 2021 IEEE.

The Kapuas Kecil River is strongly influenced by tidal, in the dry season the intrusion of surface water is often a problem for the WTP because it causes the change of raw water quality to be processed. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of sea tides on water quality of the Kapuas Kecil River. The study was conducted in Kapuas River downstream along ± 30 km from the upper boundary to the estuary. Water sampling is carried out during the dry and rainy season, when the tidal conditions at 7 (seven) locations of the monitoring station. Descriptive analysis methods and regression-correlation statistics are used to determine the effect of tides on water quality in Kapuas River downstream. In general, the water quality of the Kapuas Kecil River has exceeded the criteria of first class water quality, ie water that can be used for drinking water. The status of water quality of the Kapuas Kecil River based on the pollution index calculation shows the condition of the river is "mild to medium pollutants". The result of multiple linear regression analysis got the value of coefficient of determination (adjusted R square) = 0,760, which in whole show that independent variable (tidal and distance) influence to dependent variable (value of TDS) equal to 76%. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP sciences.

In this paper, parallel GPU-based versions of the three Rao metaphor-less optimization algorithms are proposed and used to solve large-scale nonlinear equation systems, which are hard to solve with traditional numerical methods, particularly as the size of the systems get bigger. The parallel implementations of the Rao algorithms were performed in Julia and tested on a high-performance GeForce RTX 3090 GPU with 10 496 CUDA cores and 24 GB of GDDR6X VRAM using a set of challenging scalable systems of nonlinear equations. The computational experiments carried out demonstrated the efficiency of the proposed GPU-accelerated versions of the Rao optimization algorithms, with average speedups ranging from 57.10 × to 315.12 × for the set of test problems considered in this study. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.
