Tourism and the hotel business have benefited greatly from the use of digital social networking. Using social big data research, the application of deep learning seems to have been beneficial in a marketing strategies and customer preference estimate. Recognizing human psychology, which is critical to industrial success, has benefited greatly from digital technology and social media. The Internet of Things (IoT) provides a chance for a hotel sector to improve the customer experience although lowering operational expenses. The ratings are determined by the following factors: Value, Apartment, Location, Hygiene, Front Office, Facilities, Professional Service, Internet, and Parking. Traditional techniques which anticipate hotel evaluations through minimal precision add difficulty to the rating assessment. As a result, efficient deep learning algorithms are employed to evaluate reviews designed to help consumers in selecting better hotels. To predict qualities, multiple classification techniques, including convolutional neural network-based deep learning (CNN-DL) and support vector machine (SVM) network-based deep learning, were used in this research. The system examines system efficiency by using the TripAdvisor website, this is a well American database. The research results reveal that the CNN-DL method outperforms another method in terms of classification efficiency and failure *** graphical results could also be utilized to enhance the effectiveness of the suggested model and offer insights into response tactics, demonstrating the study's academic and conceptual achievements. Although it is feasible to conclude from such research that the possibility of IoT within the hotel industry has not yet been fully investigated, as researchers commonly speculate on using IoT for implementations that might quickly be of involvement to a hotel sector, but refuse to recognize that possibility as a massive market. © 2022 The Author(s)

A modified chitosan-polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) hydrogel was developed by incorporating Fe3O4 nanoparticles. Four chitosan-Fe3O4 (ChFe) hydrogel types were developed based on chitosan:Fe3O4 ratio as 1:0, 1:1, 1:0.5 and 1:0.25. Batch sorption experiments were conducted with different pH, dosage, kinetics, and isotherms. The exhausted ChFe hydrogels were evaluated for their regeneration and reuse capability with different acids and bases. The best hydrogel for arsenic (V) [As(V)] adsorption was 1:0.5 ratio ChFe hydrogel. The highest As(V) adsorption (89 %) was at pH 4 and the adsorption capacity gradually decreased with increasing solution pH. Within the pH 4–6 range, the hydrogel surface became positively charged due to protonation of –NH2 and –OH groups in the polymer chain and the positive surface attracted H2AsO4− and HAsO42− oxyanions. The experimental kinetic data was well-fitted to the Elovich model (R2 of 0.99) while the Freundlich isotherm model best described the isotherm data (R2 of 0.97). The models predicted chemisorption mechanisms on ChFe hydrogel composites. Electrostatic attractions with –NH3+ and –OH2+, ligand-exchange inner-sphere complexes formation and bidentate corner-sharing (2C) and bidentate edge-sharing (2E) trimetric surface complexes formation have been proposed as the adsorption mechanism of As(V) into ChFe hydrogel. 0.1 M CH3COOH showed the best regeneration pattern with 75, 96, 81, 53 and 43 % of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th adsorption respectively. Because of this re-usable capability, the As(V) adsorption capacity is not a single value from one adsorption cycle, but a cumulative value of several adsorption cycles and it was 17.39 mg/g for five adsorption cycles. Open for regeneration and reuse, no post-treatment is needed for adsorbent-water separation, allow applications of the ChFe hydrogel composite in a wide range of applications such as water filtration and purification systems. Efforts to enhance the electrochemical properties of materials have become the focus of numerous studies because these properties are essential in various fields of application. Zeolitic imidazole framework-67 (ZIF-67) is a type of metal-organic framework (MOFs) expected to demonstrate excellent performance in electrochemical applications due to its numerous distinct properties. Consequently, various strategies and techniques have been developed to improve the electrochemical performance of ZIF-67. In this study, we employed bimetallic ZIF-67 constructed with cobalt (Co) and copper (Cu) metal ions within the imidazole frameworks. The use of bimetal is expected to increase conductivity and fine-tune the physicochemical properties of ZIF-67. Using coprecipitation methods, we synthesized both single-metal and bimetallic ZIF-67 and compared their characterizations. The addition of Cu metal ions does not alter the materials phase, ensuring compatibility with the single-metal ZIF-67 structure. However, the rhombic dodecahedron morphology of ZIF-67 shifts from a smooth to a concave and rough surface in Co/Cu ZIF-67. Furthermore, Co/Cu ZIF-67 exhibits higher peak current on their cyclic voltammetry (CV) curve by 46.15 μA. The results effectively illustrate the advantages of bimetal on ZIF-67 properties and performance. Finally, this study succesfully briefly demonstrate the potential development of Co/Cu-based ZIF-67 for various electrochemical applications. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Water pollution stemming from non-metal contaminants, notably fluorine, poses a grave health risk. The prevalent organic fluoride called pentafluoropropionic acid (PFPA), necessitates efficient remediation. Employing photocatalysis, this study strives to synthesize titanium dioxide (TiO₂) via microwave assisted sol-gel technique, integrating a natural-resource-based zeolite carrier to synthesize photocatalyst/zeolite nanocomposite for the removal of fluorinated compounds from water by degradation of PFPA. Minitab-17 facilitates data analysis, with the reaction surface (RS) method optimizing parameters: 0.5 g dosage, UV irradiation, and alkaline conditions. The RS model predicts a 60.2 % removal efficiency, closely aligning with the observed 58.7 % removal. Energy efficiency is pursued through microwave hydrothermal synthesis, while secondary aluminium slag and waste glass contribute to zeolite synthesis, promoting waste reduction and recycling in harmony with circular economy principles. © 2024

Next generation wireless technology require a wide frequency band. Current technology use a frequency of below 3 GHz which cannot provide a wide frequency band due to quite dense frequency utilization. The mm-Wave frequency guarantee to provide a wide band frequency band. The use of mm-Wave frequency will be influenced by climate factors. The characteristics of a place will cause a different channel model. Channel Model is useful for minimizes errors and maximizes information transmission or bitrate in communication model. The Channel Model will be represented as a PDP (Power Delay Profile). Channel model performance uses the Outage performance parameter in Shannon Theorem Implementation. Validation results using the CP-OFDM system with 5G BPSK. The parameters used for validation are FER and BER. In this paper, channel models will be analysed based on the characteristic of Palembang area as a reference channel model in Outer of Indonesia. Hopefully, it can be used as a reference for the development 5G wireless system.

Study of low head turbine propellers axial flow for use of micro-hydropower plant (MHP) in Aceh, Indonesia

Low head hydropower has the potential to produce green energy with a minimum on the environment and is one of the best choices for decentralized power plants. Aceh is one of many regions in Indonesia with hilly topography and many river streams. Of the 66 rivers in Aceh that have potential energy sources that can be developed 98.5 percent are low head. Generally, the technique for overcoming altitude problems in low river flows is the use of low head turbines. An important aspect of head power generation techniques is the selection of turbines. The study aimed to study low head propeller turbines for the use of micro hydropower plants. By calculating the main dimensions and main components of the turbine, field experiments were carried out to determine turbine rotation and energy, as well as turbine efficiency at a flow rate of 0.06 m3/sec and a 3.5-meter head. The calculation results obtained by a specific turbine speed of 1.53, runner diameter of 0.30 meters, hub diameter of 0.06 meters, shaft diameter 0.03, runner length 1.08, triangular speed of 30 degrees with the number of blades 4 pieces. From the results of field experiments, the maximum turbine rotation speed is 1828 rpm, the turbine power is 2,530 watts with a voltage between 220 to 240 volts while the maximum efficiency is 57 percent. It can be concluded that propeller-type turbines with the low head are suitable for micro power plants, especially in remote areas.

Polycaprolactone (PCL) is an important polymer due to its mechanical properties, miscibility with a large range of other polymers and biodegradability. Polycaprolactone (PCL) was chosen as the matrix because of its biodegradability characteristics. This paper reports on an investigation of the influence of the presence of bentonite. It was found that of bentonite significantly influenced the mass loss behavior of the nanocomposite because of physical interactions between the clay and the polymer chains and degradation volatiles. Melt drawing of the composite, however, had little influence on the degradation behavior of the investigated samples. Based on mechanical properties results, addition of bentonite significantly enhances the flexibility of PCL blends. TGA showed that the presence of bentonite improves thermal stability of blends.

An experimental investigation of the influences ammonia concentration variation to the performances of pump less ammonia-aqua absorption refrigeration system with water flooding evaporator is described. The heat generated in generator and refrigerating effect in evaporator, cooling capacity, coefficients of performance (COP) are investigated. The objective of this study is to investigate the characteristic and influences of the ammonia concentration variation to the performance of pump less absorption refrigeration system with water flooding evaporator as a refrigeration load.. In this research, the generator temperature has been setting constant in 80°C using electric heater, the ammonia concentration in 500 ml solution would be varied in 18%, 27%, 37%, 47%, and 59%. It is concluded that heat generated in generator and refrigerating effect in evaporator decrease with increasing ammonia concentration, while the cooling capacity and COP would increase with increasing ammonia concentration. As a result, it is found that increasing the ammonia concentration would effect on increasing of cooling capacity and COP. The highest the ammonia concentration, the highest cooling capacity and COP would be resulted. The highest cooling capacity and COP resulted respectively are 0.7180 kW and 0.829 at 59% ammonia concentration.

Surface and groundwater are important resources for human life and health. Land use changes and mining activities, however, have the potential to compromise the safety of these resources. This study aims to investigate the land cover conditions before and during mining activities and assess the impact on forests, surface, and groundwater resources in the Asutifi North District, Ghana. Landsat data of 30 m resolution was used to assess the land cover change from 2000 to 2020. A cross-sectional analysis of data between April to June 2004 to 2019 was used to assess water quality. The overall accuracy of the land cover classification ranged between (91.33–99.41)% and (78.01–85.95)% respectively for ground-truth validation and validation using the MODIS annual 500 m land cover dataset. Forest cover decreased by 11.47% while agriculture doubled from 12.13% to 24.06% between 2000 and 2020. The introduction of mining is responsible for major land cover changes including the conversion of forest to agricultural land through shifting cultivation. For a general assessment of water quality, the percentage of pH, TB, TDS, NH₃, Mg and SO₄ measurements outside the EPA admissible limits for drinking water is 16.67%, 83.33%, 0.69%, 0%, 10.42%, and 16.67% respectively. Turbidity is the most impacted water quality parameter affected by land cover changes while NH₃ is the least impacted parameter. The incidences of water quality outside EPA/WHO limits for drinking water at all monitoring points call for education and collective action to safeguard water sources from further deterioration. It is necessary mining companies adhere to environmental protection guidelines. © 2022

Case-Based Games Learning (CBGL) is a strategy of active learning in which the students implement knowledge and analytical skill related to the real complex situation (contextual) and relevant with subject lessons. Give case-based task or question routinely can help students to solve case-based mathematics problems. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of CBGL using Quizizz dan Case Base Learning (CBL) without Quizizz based on students' conceptual understanding in mathematics by finding out the percentage of the correct answer. Students were grouping by using a purposive sampling method based on the conceptual understanding indicator. The result of this study is the average conceptual understanding CBGL using Quizizz application strategy is more effective than CBL without Quizizz application in evaluating student work results quickly, precisely, and accurately. Therefore the use of Quizzes application with CBGL was more effective than CBL in assessing the work result quickly, right, and accurately.
