Both Data hiding and data compression are very important technologies in the field of image processing. It seems that there is no relationship between data hiding and data compression because most of the data hiding mechanisms focus on information security and the data compression mechanisms emphasize the compression ratio. In fact, they are closely related. Until now, there are many literatures to discuss the secret data how to be embedded into the media image. Unfortunately, the stego-image's size will be increased when the media image is hidden a lot of secret data. In order to overcome this disadvantage, a reversible data hiding scheme based on EMD data hiding and JPEG compression technology will be proposed in this paper. According to the experimental results, we can prove that our proposed scheme still keeps high embedding capacity, security and good compression ratio. © 2010 IEEE.

As different underwater terrain features will affect the accuracy of unscented Kalman filter terrain matching algorithm, a new terrain self-adaptive matching method is proposed which adjusts sigma point distribution by terrain features. The connection between sigma point distribution distance and three basic terrain features were analysed. Positioning error range were calculated using navigation positioning errors and underwater digital map. Terrain elevation standard deviation was used to characterize the information quantity of decision region. Scaling parameter was adjusted using linear mapping method and sigma point distribution distance was determined by terrain features. The simulation results proved better terrain adaptability and positioning precision of improved self-adaptive matching algorithm. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

This study is dedicated to a critical investigation of the existing approaches toward a data visualization management platform based on Fast Health Interoperability Resources (FHIR). Despite the growing popularity of FHIR, the available evidence provides a compelling reason to believe that its use is still accompanied by a significant number of technical challenges. Therefore, the development of tools to ensure its convenient visualization remains a pressing need for a variety of stakeholders operating in the healthcare industry. Results of the systematic literature review that included 26 studies provide valuable information about the most popular instruments in this area, such as the OpenEHR CKM approach. The review offers a critical discussion of the most important advantages and disadvantages of different approaches. It provides valuable recommendations for further research as well as practical recommendations concerning the best ways to utilize data visualization platforms based on FHIR. It defines the tradeoff of functionality versus the ease of dissemination as one of the most important problems facing most platforms and suggests avenues for developing additional tooling support for visualizing FHIR. The results of the research could be useful both for scientists and practitioners. © 2022 IEEE.

The implementation of smart grid on a micro scale in this study was for household electricity fulfillment needs. The use of renewable energy sources such as solar power will be integrated through a smart grid so that households can become independent in providing electricity and not depend on state electricity. Besides, it can also reduce monthly electricity costs when integrated with the state electricity network. Smart Micro Grid also enables the availability of energy management services such as monitoring, prediction, forecasting, scheduling and decision-making that was supported by some technologies such as artificial intelligent, smart sensors so that consumer use of electricity was more efficient. In this research, the forecasting method developed using the Deep Neural Network (DNN) and the Gate Recurrent Unit (GRU) as the architectural model. The GRU model was chosen because it has better performance compared to other models, namely LSTM, Auto-LSTM, Auto-GRU with MAE and MSE values of 0.0342 and 0.00245. © 2021 IEEE.

Recently, a modified data hiding scheme based on pixel value differencing and improving exploiting modification directions is proposed by Shen and Huang. There are two major contributions in this scheme. One is to enhance the embedding rate and good embedding capacity and the other is an optimization problem used to solve the overflow/ underflow problem. In fact, they propose the similar brute force method to solve overflow/underflow problem in their proposed scheme. To overcome the overflow/underflow problem exactly, we will propose the close form to solve this problem in this paper. Then, an improvement data hiding scheme based on FFEMD (Formula Fully Exploiting Modification Directions) and pixel value differencing method is proposed. According to our analysis, it is not only to keep the advantages of Shen-Huang scheme but also to use the close form to solve the overflow/ underflow problem. © 2016 IEEE.

Knowledge of hand-woven motif recognition is only owned by the older generation, which has not been passed down to the younger generation. Moreover, computer technology can be used to support the recognition of traditional woven fabric motifs. The aim of this research is to conduct a literature review on hand-woven fabric motif recognition, with an emphasis on performance accuracy, techniques, and datasets utilized. This research included three distinct stages of systematic literature review (SLR): planning, execution, and reporting of findings. We found several datasets between 924,845 data and the number of classes between 3-25 class. Based on research result, we obtained several methods for hand-woven fabric motif recognition focused on performance examination. We recommended image pre-processing method, including Adaptive Filtering Denoising, Adaptive Wiener Filtering, Histogram Equalization, Gradient Pyramid (GP) Decomposition. Moreover, we suggested five feature extraction methods, including Radon Transform, Wavelet Transform, Locally Rotation Invariance Measure (LBP-ROR), Transform Invariant Low-Rank Textures (TILT) and Histogram of Oriented Gradients (HOG). For learning method, we recommend Fuzzy C-Mean (FCM), Convolutional neural network (CNN), Deep Neural Network (DNN), MobileNets, Inception-v3 and ResNet-50. © 2021 IEEE.

This research aims to construct a two-dimensional image to represent an underwater geometry map with a Side Scan Sonar (SSS) mounted on a Hybrid Autonomous Underwater Glider (HAUG). Building the underwater map has two stages of the process. The first stage is preprocessing which includes Time-varying gains (TVG), slant range correction, and ground range correction. The second is HAUG navigation, the movement of HAUG orientation to the angle and distance of SSS readings and plotting the geometry of the grid map. With these two stages, a two-dimensional grid map will be formed. Meanwhile, the 3D plot utilizes slant range and ground range correction to obtain the surface height of the bottom of the pool. From the experiments conducted to conduct mapping in the pool, two-dimensional and three-dimensional visual forms of the pool floor and pool walls were produced. The results of the estimated measurement of the width of the pool obtained 14.05 meters and the height of the pool 3.199 meters with an SSS beam angle of 58 degrees. © 2023 IEEE.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the tensile strength and impact strength of eleusine indica grass fiber-reinforced polypropylene recycle composite. In this study, the fiber was treated with alkali at 5% NaOH for 2 hours. The eleusine indica grass fiber cut with a length of 3 cm and the matrix used recycle polypropylene. In this research, the volume fraction of eleusine indica grass fiber varied by 20%, 25%, and 30% respectively. The composite molded with a hot press at temperature 200°C with a holding time for 2 hours. Tensile test used ASTM D3039 and impact test used ASTM D256. The highest tensile and impact strength results on fiber volume fraction 30%. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Evaluation of ultrasonic-range Vibratory Microinjection System at a frequency of 35 kHz using fertilized mouse eggs

To facilitate pronuclear microinjection, we have been developing the Vibratory Microinjection Systems (VMSs) that provides a micropipette with longitudinal vibration. The current VMS utilizes any frequency up to 100 kHz. We compared 35-kHz vibratory microinjection (VM) with ordinary microinjection (OM). Fourteen micropipettes were used to inject 420 BDF1 zygotes. Each micropipette finished its injection quota of 30 eggs, which were manipulated one by one alternately using the two types of microinjections, even when it repeatedly pulled out nuclear components. All microinjections were conducted at a compensation pressure of 30 hPa and digitally recorded for subsequent image analysis. VM resulted in slightly better embryonic development in 4-day culture than OM, but significantly shortened the time spent on microinjection and the time spent swelling the pronucleus by 25% and 30%, respectively. These pronuclear swelling times, together with the almost identical degrees of pronuclear swelling in both groups, suggested that VM injected a GFP solution at a 42% higher speed. VM significantly reduced the incidence of pulling out nuclear components, suggesting VM's capability of removing the nuclear components already adhering to the micropipettes. These results indicate VMS is a useful option which is capable of raising the efficiency of microinjection significantly by saving time, labor and cost of microinjection. © 2012 Japanese Society of Mammalian Ova Research.

It is important to figure out the patterns of woven fabrics before producing woven fabric with a machine. Recognition of woven fabric pattern usually with the help of the human eye can understand the fabric pattern. However, this manual checking takes a lot of time, money, and work, which will raise the cost of making woven fabrics. This study uses the VGG16, VGG19, MobileNet, and Inception-V3 methods to classify woven fabric patterns. It also wants to see how fine-tuning method can help algorithms be more accurate at classifying images. The research was divided into four phases, including image acquisition, image preprocessing, image classification and evaluation. A total of 978 pictures of motifs included in the research dataset. There are 351 images for the cotton class, 76 images for linen, 195 images for silk, and 356 images for wool. As the result, the highest testing accuracy was in the Inception-V3 experiment (with fine-tuning) of 72.51%, and the lowest was in the VGG19 experiment (with fine-tuning) of 52.92%. © 2022 ICIC International.
