Smart computing has been particularly notable in the development of wireless sensor networks (WSNs), which have many applications. Battery-powered, self-configuring sensor nodes are the basis of these networks. Energy and resources are limited when it comes to sensors. Unbalanced nodes in the network consume more power, which adversely affects the network’s lifespan. An improved energy-efficient cluster-based routing protocol for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (WSNs) based on the Internet of Things is proposed in this study. Several performance metrics were used to evaluate the proposed model’s effectiveness, including energy efficiency, alive nodes, dead nodes, network lifetime, and residual energy. The results of the comparison were compared with existing methodologies, such as LEACH, PSO, and hybrid PSO. The proposed approach outperforms the existing model by a substantial margin in networks with 50 and 100 nodes, according to the simulation results.

The notion of the sub-exact sequence is the generalization of exact sequence in algebra especially on a module. A module over a ring R is a generalization of the notion of vector space over a field F. Refers to a special vector space over field F when we have a complete inner product space, it is called a Hilbert space. A space is complete if every Cauchy sequence converges. Now, we introduce the sub-exact sequence on Hilbert space which can later be useful in statistics. This paper aims to investigate the properties of the sub-exact sequence and their relation to direct summand on Hilbert space. As the result, we get two properties of isometric isomorphism sub-exact sequence on Hilbert space. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Healthcare is an enormous industry based on legacy systems, which can lead to inefficiencies. While governments and medical companies have long been the main investors, major tech companies including Google, Microsoft have started investing more into digital health. Moreover, with the global pandemic of COVID-19 around the world, discussions about digital healthcare are once again emerging. This has caused a major shift in areas of focus within digital health as new technologies emerge and regulations evolve due to combined expertise. In this paper, we will look at the digital healthcare industry, policies, and technologies.

This paper aims at presenting a meshless Generalized Finite Difference Method (GFDM) for solving the Helmholtz equation. In particular, in order to tackle the problem where a fluid domain is divided into different parts by a thin-wall structure, a Domain-Decomposition Method (DDM) is introduced to prevent interactions between node pairs coming from different parts of the flow domain. Two rigorous benchmarks are performed to validate the convergence and accuracy of the present GFDM-DDM model. Furthermore, caisson resonance problems are also investigated and discussed based on the novel numerical tool. It is shown that the present GFDM-DDM model can provide satisfactory predictions for resonance modes in caisson resonance problems, and hence can be treated as a powerful numerical tool in ocean engineering design due to its accurate and efficient characteristics. © 2023 The Authors

Sustainable innovation has gained prominence in recent years, due to the demands imposed by global competition, social pressures and the needs of consumers and the environment. Decision-making processes about sustainable innovation are complex and often require auxiliary instruments to reduce uncertainties. Multicriteria decision aid (MCDA) methods can be a useful tool to make these kinds of decisions more assertive. This article presents the main discussions and theoretical approaches through bibliometrics on the application of MCDA methods in the context of sustainable innovations. We used the R package Bibliometrix library to organize the data of the publications and perform the processing for the generated analyzes. The bibliometric analysis provided an overview about the use of MCDA in sustainable innovations (MIS) and it presents citation analysis;identification of central authors through co-citation analysis;main topics, conceptual structure and thematic evolution of the literature by co-word analysis. As main results, we identified the main trends in MIS: there has been a substantial increase in publications on this theme, and the most explored focuses are “product development, production and distribution” and “environmental or social impact assessment” and there is an opportunity to further explore the focuses of “evaluation or selection of projects, suppliers or resources”, “product life cycle management or assessment” and “definition of decision criteria and standards for sustainable innovation performance”. In addition, several MCDA tools have been successfully used for studies of sustainable innovations, demonstrating that there is no preferable method to use for a given focus. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.

The green transition has brought about a worldwide-shift to the use of renewables as alternative energy sources. Because of this, high voltage DC has been a field of interest in power electronics due to its capability in efficiently transmitting power to reach remote areas. Typical DC-DC electronic power converter design has the capability of boosting voltage level to a certain extent but not enough for high-voltage applications. Using the DMAIC Approach of the Six Sigma, quality improvements in the design was proposed to stabilize operating frequency, bring up the output voltage from 100 VDC to 4,000 VDC and provide at least 10% margin of error in the apparent power measured at the output side to offset inherent losses in the electrical design. These proposed quality improvements were sustained by designing a control circuit that would ensure the attainment of the parameters set in the Define Phase of the DMAIC Approach. The result of the study is a practical 12 VDC to 4,000 VDC boost converter design that has incorporated all the proposed quality improvements.

Following 40 years of reform and opening up, India's economy has achieved a new peak, with rural ecommerce emerging as a key driver of this expansion. As the state's policy continues to develop to encourage rural ecommerce, the sector has opened up a big historical opportunity, with the size of the market growing and the sector's social awareness rising rapidly. With the widespread use of big data networks, big data-driven, AI-powered e-commerce has also grown rapidly in recent years. The use of electronic commerce is more common in urban regions than in rural ones. As part of the plan for 'revitalizing the countryside,' widespread use of ecommerce in rural regions will be a major step toward bolstering the rural economy. The growth of this route has the potential to strongly encourage the modernization of antiquated production techniques in rural regions while also improving the accessibility and efficiency of the flow of agricultural goods inside India and so facilitating their eventual export. The third-party distribution model was used as the logistics approach, and agricultural items from Mysore City, such as paddy and vegetables, served as the primary research objects to illustrate the utility of the Novel Colony Algorithm in the context of rural e-commerce. The issue of the third-party distribution model is examined through the process of model building. In light of this, PyCharm is used to determine the shortest path and total cost using a novel colony algorithm. In this research, we evaluate the models and conduct analyses of the efficiency and cost issues that arise when changing the parameters. © 2022 IEEE.

The Revised NIOSH Lifting Equation is a work system assessment tool which often used in industrial world. The calculation result in the form of Recommended Weight Limit (RWL) and the Lifting Index (LI) become the basis for improving the work system carried out. RNLE is an application developed by NIOSH and uses American anthropometry as a constant in its calculations. Some researchers, especially in Asia, consider that the application is less suitable for Asia people who have anthropometric differences with Americans. The assessment carried out by the RNLE application is based on work activities carried out without considering the worker's body posture. In particular, the calculate of HM and VM in this application uses a constant related to anthropometry. RNLE uses the constants based on the average anthropometry of workers in calculation. The constant anthropometry used in the equation led to the results of the risk calculation that does not correspond to physical aspects of workers. It takes an equation that consider anthropometry workers to get the calculation of the value of the appropriate work risk. The study aims to propose equations that consider anthropometry factors to calculate the risk factor. The development of the equation with Python programming language allows further development in the field of information and communication technology. The results of the study shows that the average results of the RWL and LI calculation uses anthropometry data not equal to the RNLE, thus required new equation in order to resulting more objective risk value.

Impacts of climate change have received extensive attention, especially for the semi-arid regions. Raknamo reservoir is located at Kupang Regency, a semi-arid area with significant differences in rainy duration (3-4 months) and dry seasons (8-9 months). This preliminary study aimed to identify the recent factors that caused the delays in initial filling of Raknamo reservoir, which may be affected by climate change. There are three rainfall stations observed surrounding Raknamo watershed, namely Camplong, Naibonat and Raknamo. Direct comparisons were made of rainfall data for 33 years (1986-2019) daily. The climatology station Lasiana was used for climatological data with a data length of 33 years (1986-2019). This research used a qualitative approach, runoff was analyzed using regression analysis. The results showed that factors such as temperature (T), potential evapotranspiration (ETo), and rainfall (R) affected the availability of initial filling in the Raknamo reservoir. The amount of rainfall intensity that is not achieved in one period to fill the reservoir has resulted in the Raknamo reservoir utilization not being optimized. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Misdelivery in logistic services leads to increased costs and degradation of packages. For deliveries using trucks, erroneous deliveries are prevented by checking identification numbers on packages as the packages pass through delivery points. In recent years, it has become possible to monitor real-time location by attaching GPS receivers to packages, but few concrete efforts have been made to detect anomalies using truck transport data. This study introduces a basic framework for the detection of misdeliveries and a summary of the problems in actual truck misdelivery using special medical supply delivery data provided by a major Japanese logistics company. It is shown that the system can detect erroneous deliveries with high accuracy, even for actual delivery data with coarse resolution owing to the cost of installing the equipment. This study has the potential not only to improve logistics and reduce costs, but also to solve various social problems such as driver shortages.
