Belawan Port is one of the main ports in Indonesia whose role and function are important in the national logistics system. Belawan Port is a gateway for the Province of North Sumatra. The port must have sustainability in carrying out its role and function as transportation and economic infrastructure. In this research, Belawan Port sustainability will be evaluated from several aspects or dimensions, namely ecology, economy, social culture, technology, and institutions and law. Belawan port sustainability analysis using the Multidimensional Scaling method, using the modified Rapfish program. The analysis is carried out on five dimensions and 49 attributes/factors, which are used as a reference in the SDGs program. Not every SDG will be relevant for every business, however, every SDG should be considered. SDGs no.4 and no.5 are not directly related to port management activities, while SDGs no.8,9,11,14,17 are directly related. From the analysis obtained Ecology sustainability index = 48.38 (less-sustainable), Economic sustainability index = 42.89 (Less-Sustainable), Socio-Cultural sustainability index = 52.47 (Fair-Sustainable), Technological sustainability index = 54.11 (Fair-Sustainable), Institutional and Legal sustainability index = 50.74 (Fair-Sustainable). With policy and program interventions, the sustainability of the existing Belawan Port in the short term can be improved to be fair-sustainable for all dimensions (ecology, economy, social & culture, technology, Institution & Law) evaluated. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper examines the reproducibility of massive information analytics under particular factors. The paper proposes the 'performing Scalable Inference' technique to cope with scalability troubles and to exploit current big statistics platforms for efficient computing and statistics garage of the statistics. In particular, the paper describes how to perform leak-free, parallelizable visible analytics over massive datasets using present extensive records analytics frameworks such as Apache Flink. This method presents an automated manner to execute analytics that preserves reproducibility and the ability to make adjustments without re-running the entire technique. The paper also demonstrates how these analytics may help several real-world use instances, explore affected person cohorts for studies, and develop stratified patient cohorts for hospital therapy. In the end, the paper observes how the proposed method may be exercised within the real world. Actively scalable inference for massive information analytics is pivotal in optimizing decision-making and allocation of assets. Typically, such inferences are made based on information accumulated from numerous sources, databases, unstructured data, and different digital sources. So one can ensure scalability, a complete cloud-primarily based platform has to be hired. This solution will permit the ***, deploying the essential records series and evaluation algorithms are prime here. It could permit the platform to recognize the styles inside the statistics and discover any ability correlations or traits. Additionally, predictive analytics and system mastering strategies may be incorporated to provide insights into the results of the information. In the long run, by leveraging those techniques, the platform can draw efficient inferences and appropriately compare situations in an agile and green way.. © 2023 IEEE.

The return rates of investments in education have been estimated for a long *** related advantaged linkage between extending higher education participation and economic growth has been spreading around the *** the global expansion phenomena in higher education are not persistent to their economic growth as the policy makers *** the relationships between higher education expansion and economic growth,this study selected Japan and Korea as the research targets to determine their concurrent *** on the World Bank data set,the GER(gross entrance ratio) and GDP(gross domestic product) per capita in Japan and Korea were collected from 1971 to ***(multivariate autoregressive integrated moving average) was conducted to estimate the effect of concurrent relationships between GER and GDP per *** on the fittest model,we predict the GER with GDP per capital for next *** result demonstrates that the GER and GDP per capital in Japan and Korea with positive *** on the trends,the predicted GER of higher education in Japan will increase,while Korea will decrease significantly in next decade.

This research develops an intelligent automatic production loading and unloading solution for a multi-process part. According to the posture required for each processing operation of each part, a novel gripper and carrier that can implement multi-position clamping are designed. The Beckhoff controller is adopted as the host controller in the control system to integrate the robotic arm (including the vision system), the automated guided vehicle (AGV), and the computer numerical control (CNC) machine. The main topic of this research is to meet the requirements of automatic loading and unloading in the processing of the entire production line. It will significantly reduce the workforce consumption of the processing production line and avoid human error, thereby improving processing reproducibility and product production stability. © 2023 IEEE.

Factory buildings, pre-fabricated housing, and traditional terraced houses are constructed in a manner that involves an airtight condition along the length of these buildings, which inhibits the exchange of cool and warm air between indoor and outdoor environments. This results in stagnant and poorly ventilated indoor environments, as well as environmental issues such as poor indoor air quality. Present solutions for the ventilation of indoor environments are generally based on the installation of air conditioning equipment. However, the operation of air conditioners consumes large quantities of electricity, which creates high electrical costs for building management units. Furthermore, the operation of air conditioners is also associated with a variety of economic and environmental quality issues. In this work, we developed an active wind tracking system for building ventilation. In this system, wind speed and direction are measured and transmitted to a control system that controls the adjustable roof openings developed in this study. These openings are then pointed towards the wind using a set of interlinked equipment to draw airflow indoors, thus improving the air quality of indoor environments. This is expected to reduce the frequency of use of air conditioners and save energy. © 2017 IEEE.

An improved mechanism called Scan First 3 Channels (SF3C) is developed to reduce the communicating frequency among devices and PAN Coordinator. The throughput and energy consumption are major performance indexes for it. Meanwhile, the beacon-enabled mode for broadcast transmissions in WPAN has higher flexibility than the non-beacon -enabled mode. In the research, a new analytic mode of the IEEE 802.15.4 beacon-enabled mode is developed to improve throughput. Furthermore, the MAC performance in the simple star topology is evaluated. © 2010 IEEE.

Sustainable building projects deal with a multitude of technical, environmental, economic, social, organizational, and innovation-related issues, to name but a few. Achieving sustainability goals depends on how well these issues are handled. While some sustainable building projects are quite successful, some are not. It is therefore important to learn lessons from past projects. This research aims to reveal the key lessons concerning sustainability-related issues in building projects. To that end, challenges in the achievement of sustainability goals of building projects are discussed, and lessons learned systems are examined. After that, the events experienced by project managers in a large number of sustainable building projects are obtained from a major public agency's website and are analyzed. The findings show the key lessons that have an important impact on the success/failure of sustainable building projects. The expected contribution of the study is to foster advanced solutions for future sustainable projects. © 2013 American Society of Civil Engineers.

This study aims to predict the participation pattern related to the social science programs within a high participated higher education *** the expanding higher education system in Taiwan as an example,we collected the series data with student numbers in social science programs and total student enrollment numbers by using the annual statistics report(1950 to 2017) from Ministry of *** the concurrent series did not fit the classical ARIMA(autoregressive integrated moving average) model,this study selected transfer function in terms of multivariate autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMAX) models to deal with the target ***,we applied the cross correlation function to check the relationships between the ***,we select the ARIMAX with transfer function to verify the fittest predicting *** result reveals the selected ARIMAX(1,1,1) model works well for predicting the trend of social science participation in *** study provides an example to tackle two series variables in ARIMAX process in higher education *** finding suggests useful information for related policy makers to renovating the social science programs.
