This paper presents an approach for color detection and segmentation based on Image Processing Process to retrieve candidate regions of GHS Sign. For color classification, where the dimension of each vector can be extended by a group of neighboring pixels. The experimental results are highly accurate and robust for our testing database, where samples are recorded on various states of environment. But in the meantime, it was found that the error processing. It is an image that looks asymmetrical image. It is impossible to detect the symbol GHS.

As the coffee industry has grown, there would be more demand for roasted coffee beans, as well as increased rivalry for selling coffee and attracting customers. As the flavor of each variety of coffee is dependent on the degree of roasting of the coffee beans, it is vital to maintain a consistent quality related to the degree of roasting. Each barista has their own method for determining the degree of roasting. However, extrinsic circumstances such as light, fatigue, and other factors may alter their judgment. As a result, the quality of the coffee cannot be controlled. The "Coffee Roast Intelligence" application is a machine learning-based study of roasted coffee bean degrees classification produced as an Android application platform that identifies the color of coffee beans by photographing or uploading them while roasting. This application displays the text showing at what level the coffee beans have been roasted, as well as informs the percent chance of class prediction to the consumers. Users may also keep track of the result of the predictions related to the roasting level of coffee beans. © 2022, CC BY-SA.

The purpose of this research is to help save electricity within organizations and workplaces that use computers. Due to the behavior of general users today, they do not give importance to saving electricity. The researcher has developed an automatic computer shutdown system. with image processing via a webcam By using image processing techniques (Image Processing) applied to a webcam. By using a webcam to capture the user on the computer screen. Then the images are analyzed and examined with the principles of image processing with the Face Detection technique using the algorithm of Haar-like Features to detect human faces and ROI. Define a specific area of interest The system will then check the amount of inactivity on the screen. or does not show the face image within 10 minutes, the system will automatically turn off the computer. with image processing This research can make it easier to turn off computers when not in use. and helps to save electricity for the organization or agencies as well.

Towards Adversarial Robustness for Multi-Mode Data through Metric Learning

Adversarial attacks have become one of the most serious security issues in widely used deep neural networks. Even though real-world datasets usually have large intra-variations or multiple modes, most adversarial defense methods, such as adversarial training, which is currently one of the most effective defense methods, mainly focus on the single-mode setting and thus fail to capture the full data representation to defend against adversarial attacks. To confront this challenge, we propose a novel multi-prototype metric learning regularization for adversarial training which can effectively enhance the defense capability of adversarial training by preventing the latent representation of the adversarial example changing a lot from its clean one. With extensive experiments on CIFAR10, CIFAR100, MNIST, and Tiny ImageNet, the evaluation results show the proposed method improves the performance of different state-of-the-art adversarial training methods without additional computational cost. Furthermore, besides Tiny ImageNet, in the multi-prototype CIFAR10 and CIFAR100 where we reorganize the whole datasets of CIFAR10 and CIFAR100 into two and ten classes, respectively, the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art approach by 2.22% and 1.65%, respectively. Furthermore, the proposed multi-prototype method also outperforms its single-prototype version and other commonly used deep metric learning approaches as regularization for adversarial training and thus further demonstrates its effectiveness. © 2023 by the authors.

Breaking safety constraints in control systems can lead to potential risks, resulting in unexpected costs or catastrophic damage. Nevertheless, uncertainty is ubiquitous, even among similar tasks. In this paper, we develop a novel adaptive safe control framework that integrates meta learning, Bayesian models, and control barrier function (CBF) method. Specifically, with the help of CBF method, we learn the inherent and external uncertainties by a unified adaptive Bayesian linear regression (ABLR) models, which consists of a forward neural network (NN) and a Bayesian output layer. Meta learning techniques are leveraged to pre-train the NN weights and priors of the ABLR model using data collected from historical similar tasks. For a new control task, we refine the meta-learned models using a few samples, and introduce pessimistic confidence bounds into CBF constraints to ensure safe control. Moreover, we provide theoretical criteria to guarantee probabilistic safety during the control processes. To validate our approach, we conduct comparative experiments in various obstacle avoidance scenarios. The results demonstrate that our algorithm significantly improves the Bayesian model-based CBF method, and is capable for efficient safe exploration even with multiple uncertain constraints. Metaverse provides embodied artificial-reality experience to the users in the virtual spaces. Many innovative and creative services such as virtual conference and tourism have been realized in the digital twins maintained by the virtual service providers (VSP) in Metaverse. Digital twins are digital copies of the physical world constructed virtually by the VSPs using real-world data. For a realistic experience, VSPs need to collect data that is up-to-date and relevant to their services. In this paper, we propose an incentive design framework to support the data trading between VSPs and edge devices. In the auction model, we model the valuation of data by considering data relatedness and data freshness. In our model, the semantic communication model is used to filter the relevant data, and the age of information (AoI) metric is used to assess the data freshness. Results show that by considering the data freshness, our mechanism helps to increase the average update frequency so that the VSPs obtain fresh data for construction of digital twins. Our model ensures the desired properties of individual rationality, incentive compatibility, and budget balance.

The process of loading and unloading containers at the port is very important to be automated in order to increase productivity, revenues, efficiency and safety in the logistics transportation process especially in a maritime country like Indonesia. To achieve this, identification and tracking of container positions need to be done accurately so that container transfers can occur precisely and smoothly. In this study, YOLO deep learning is used to detect moving containers. The model is trained using container images, and then the validation and testing process are carried out on the model using other container images. The results of training are stored in several checkpoints which will be compared to get the most accurate model. Obtained YOLO gave good results for tracking containers with MAP value of 68.63% and LAMR of 0.31. © 2021, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Supervised learning of deep neural networks heavily relies on large-scale datasets annotated by high-quality labels. In contrast, mislabeled samples can significantly degrade the generalization of models and result in memorizing samples, further learning erroneous associations of data contents to incorrect annotations. To this end, this paper proposes an efficient approach to tackle noisy labels by learning robust feature representation based on unsupervised augmentation restoration and cluster regularization. In addition, progressive self-bootstrapping is introduced to minimize the negative impact of supervision from noisy labels. Our proposed design is generic and flexible in applying to existing classification architectures with minimal overheads. Experimental results show that our proposed method can efficiently and effectively enhance model robustness under severely noisy labels.

The Metaverse is rapidly evolving, bringing us closer to its imminent reality. However, the widespread adoption of this new automated technology poses significant research challenges in terms of authenticity, integrity, interoperability, and efficiency. These challenges originate from the core technologies underlying the Metaverse and are exacerbated by its complex nature. As a solution to these challenges, this paper presents a novel framework based on Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). The framework employs the Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm, a blockchain-based technology, for data transaction, validation, and resource management. PoS efficiently consume energy and provide a streamlined validation approach instead of resource-intensive mining. This ability makes PoS an ideal candidate for Metaverse applications. By combining NFTs for user authentication and PoS for data integrity, enhanced transaction throughput, and improved scalability, the proposed blockchain mechanism demonstrates noteworthy advantages. Through security analysis, experimental and simulation results, it is established that the NFT-based approach coupled with the PoS algorithm is secure and efficient for Metaverse applications. © 2023, CC BY.
