PurposeThis study aims to find a dynamic model in an effort to optimize tourism performance in ecotourism destinations. The model structure is built based on competitive performance in geographic areas and the application of ecotourism elements that are integrated with big data innovation through artificial intelligence ***/methodology/approachData analysis is performed through dynamic system modeling. Simulations are carried out in three models: First, existing simulation models. Nanotechnology has rapidly developed in various fields. The unique, specific, and very small dimensions of nanoparticles have many functions in technical and biological advancements, such as drug delivery and antibacterial applications. This study investigates the potential antibacterial properties of chitosan-stabilized Fe3O4 nanoparticles (Fe3O4 NPs) to inhibit the growth of Vibrio harveyi bacteria and evaluates their toxicity towards white leg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). The characterization results of the Fe3O4 NPs synthesis show an average crystallite size of 21.41 nm. The antibacterial activity of chitosan-capped Fe3O4 NPs colloidal (Cs/Fe3O4 NPs) was found at a chitosan concentration of 15,000 mg/L, with an inhibition zone against V. harveyi of 6.12 +/- 0.02 mm, and Fe3O4 NPs colloidal without chitosan capping at 6.17 +/- 0.01 mm. Both treatments showed significantly greater antibacterial activity (P < 0.05, n = 3) compared to the treatment with Fe3O4 NPs colloid capped with chitosan at 5,000 and 10,000 mg/L. The toxicity test was conducted on white leg shrimp at 48 h and 96 h of exposure, with the highest mortality occurring at a concentration of 125 mg/L, resulting in 5 % mortality (P > 0.05) with an LC50 value of 338.84 mg/L. Fe3O4 NPs have the potential to be developed as therapeutic agents or as bacterial growth inhibitors in the field of aquaculture by coating feed as a supplement (nano feed) due to their antibacterial properties and low toxicity levels towards cultured organisms.

Usage of mobile phones to support management of agribusiness activities in Indonesia

Purpose The purpose of this study is to assess the impact of mobile phone usage on sales and profit as the indicator of business performance, to analyse the facilitating roles of mobile phones and factors affecting farmers' decision to use the mobile phone in agribusiness activities. Design/methodology/approach Intensive farming was selected in this study due to its higher profitability than other crops. Data were compiled from field surveys of 1,040 farmer households in vegetable production regions of Indonesia. This study employed structural equation modelling, identifying mediating variables and quantifying multiple endogenous variables' direct and indirect effects in simultaneous regression equations. Findings The results indicate that mobile phone usage enabled farmers to increase sales, obtain market information, acquire improved agronomic technology, access credit and contact customers. The device enhanced profit through mediations of high sales, reasonable prices and access to credit and market information. The personal attributes of farmers determined the adoption of mobile phones to support agribusiness activities. Research limitations/implications This study paid attention to the use of mobile phones, which was considered an integral technology of information and communication. Other components, such as personal computers and other Internet-based devices, need further study. Practical implications As the rate of mobile phone use was still low, farmers should be encouraged to utilise the device. Socialisation and specially designed training workshops on agribusiness information systems using mobile phones are of the best ways. Originality/value Using structural equation modelling enables to analyse of multi-dependent variables in one model. Organizational agility: do agile project management and networking capability require market orientation?

Purpose This study aims to examine the joint impact of networking capability and agile project management on organizational agility of telecommunication technology providers' in Indonesia. The study also examines the moderating role of market orientation as a predominant strategic orientation on the relationship between agile project management and organizational agility. Design/methodology/approach Research data were collected via a questionnaire survey from the executive management of telecommunication technology providers in Indonesia to obtain 150 valid questionnaires for analysis. This study analyzed the overall model fit and causal relationship using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. Findings The results indicate that networking capability positively affects organizational agility. However, agile project management's significant effect on organizational agility occurs only when the relationship is moderated by market orientation. The results of the study also demonstrate that organizational agility positively affects organizational performance. Research limitations/implications This study is based on a cross-sectional nature and might fail to capture the studied variables' dynamic over an extended period. Originality/value The study enriches the previous literature in organizational agility by presenting the collective impact of networking capability and agile project management and the moderating role of market orientation. However, dissimilar with major prior studies, the results indicate that agile project management's direct effect on organizational agility is not significant. Agile project management needs to be moderated by market orientation to create exceptional customer values and overcome the competition for the organization to achieve organizational agility, responsiveness and adaptability to address customers' needs and requirements. Impact of preparedness on safety behavior in dealing with emergencies on container ships: an analysis of the role of safety knowledge, motivation, and awareness

The loading and unloading activities of container ships at the Tanjung Perak Port is imperative, as they can be carried out quickly and efficiently. These ships tend to have a high frequency of visits and possess the largest gross tonnage among ships used for the transportation of goods. The occurrence of an accident involving a container ship can have a detrimental effect on the seamless delivery of goods via sea transportation. Furthermore, the crew be adequately prepared in order to mitigate the risk. As evidenced by research on safety behaviour have not taken preparedness as a factor into consideration when addressing emergencies. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of safety knowledge, motivation, and awareness on safety behaviour in dealing with emergencies on container ships in accordance with relevant regulations. A total of 180 ship crew members served as respondents and it analysed using SEM-PLS. The results showed that preparedness, including safety procedures, emergency training, and crew security culture is an important aspect in dealing with emergencies. Furthermore, this study obtained an R square value of 0.525 in the structural model, indicating that the independent variables have an influence on behaviour, and it was classified in the good category. © 2023 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

Interaction between nutraceuticals and antibiotics has attracted increasing interest as a potential approach to improve antibiotic efficacy. This scoping review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the existing literature on the effects of nutraceuticals on antibiotic efficacy. An information specialist executed a multi-database search following the PRISMA-2020 guidelines to find articles published between 1 January 2013, and 1 April 2023. The addition of nutraceuticals to antibiotic treatments has shown promising results, for urinary tract infections, the supplementation of vitamin E alongside antibiotics significantly reduced the frequency of fever and urinary symptoms. In patients with hidradenitis suppurativa, the combination of MI, folic acid, and liposomal magnesium improved the efficacy of concurrent therapies and metabolic profiles. Immune manipulation with a nutraceutical alongside antibiotics proved effective and safe in reducing symptoms over time. These findings highlight the potential of nutraceutical addition to antibiotics in improving patient outcomes.

The goal of the paper is to determine the impact of lag-one, liquidity, land bank, interest coverage ratio, asset turnover, risk, cashflow, world oil prices, currency exchange rates, and economic growth to capital structure. Data were retrieved from 26 listed property companies in Indonesia Stocks Exchange 2010-2019. The data analysis is conducted using Microsoft Excel and Eviews 10 Software. Results of the analysis were lag-one, land bank, risk, cashflow, and currency exchange rates have significant impact on capital structure. It can be concluded that property companies have considered lag-one, land bank, risk, cashflow, and currency exchange rates in determining the capital structure. © 2022 ACM.

The effect of financial literacy, training and locus of control on creative economic business performance

The study of financial literacy and locus of control in the creative economy is a relatively new area of research. However, there is a growing body of evidence that suggests that these factors can have a significant impact on the performance of businesses in this sector. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine if training, locus of control, and financial literacy have a direct influence on the performance of creative MSMEs;and to determine whether training has an indirect effect on the performance of creative MSMEs through financial literacy. A convenience sample of 115 respondents served as the study's main source of data in the municipality (Yogyakarta) and four regencies (Sleman, Bantul, Kulonprogo, Gunung Kidul). The data were analyzed using SPSS 22, path analysis and Sobel's test. The results revealed that training, the internal position of control, and financial literacy positively affected performance. However, the position of the external control did not affect the performance. In addition, the training had a positive effect on financial literacy and affected performance through financial literacy. These results indicate that financial understanding, training and individual self-perception have become critical elements to enhance company performance because they enable actors to manage their businesses according to objectives. © 2023

Promoting traditional food consumption has the potential to accelerate the achievement of sustainable goals since these foods are generally produced with natural local ingredients, are affordable and widely available, support local economies, and suit the tastes of many young Indonesians. This study aims to examine the unique interplay between sustainability value of traditional food as a higher-order construct, food influencer, hedonic attitude, utilitarian attitude and interest in traditional food consumption among Generation Z Indonesians within the framework of Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) and Value-Attitude-Behaviour (V-A-B) theories. This study analysed 1,292 valid questionnaire responses using Partial Least Squares Path Modelling through SMART-PLS 4 software. The results showed that despite having a significant influence, sustainability value and food influencers have a minimal effect on promoting traditional food consumption. Notably, the utilitarian attitude had a more prominent mediating effect than the hedonic attitude. To optimise the sustainable impact of traditional food consumption, policymakers are advised to educate young people more about the positive environmental impact of these foods through food influencers and other educational institutions. They should also collaborate with traditional food producers to carry out sustainable production but maintain their cost efficiency in production so that they can still provide meals that are affordable, satiating, and nutritious, following the utilitarian preferences of young consumers.

This study aimed to analyze water quality and control water pollution in the Pucang River in Sidoarjo Regency. The method was used to identify water quality of the 11 parameters and compared them the Government Regulation number 22 of 2021 about water quality standards in Indonesia. Secondary data from 2018 to 2020 were used in this study. Determination of water quality status using the pollution indices method attached in Decree of the State Minister of the Environment number 115 of 2003. Analysis of water pollution control strategies using strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats approach. The condition of the water quality of the Pucang River in 2018-2020, based on the water pollution parameter test, experienced a decrease in the rate indicated by the presence of parameters that exceeded the quality standard. Determination of the quality status of water quality in 2018-2020, there was an increase in water quality marked by the rise in the pollution indices value where the water quality was moderately polluted heavily polluted. The conclusion is that the water quality of the Pucang River in 2018-2020 has decreased from the moderately polluted category to the heavily polluted, and the condition of river water cannot be used for its designation.
