It's holistic and natural training concept is based on current results of empathy research. Pilot testing of the app revealed it's good usability and comprehensibility. In this paper we address supervised learning problems where, instead of having a single annotator who provides the ground truth, multiple annotators, usually with varying degrees of expertise, provide conflicting labels for the same sample. Once Gaussian Process classification has been adapted to this problem we propose and describe how Variational Bayes inference can be used to, given the observed labels, approximate the posterior distribution of the latent classifier and also estimate each annotator's reliability. In the experimental section, we evaluate the proposed method on both generated synthetic and real data, and compare it with state of the art crowdsourcing methods.

Most of image processing algorithms such as filters are sequentially processed. So, data reusability should be considered to maximize processing efficiency. Because of its high performance and resource requirement, data refill by block based cache architecture has been proposed to maximize data reusability for a portable device image processing. However, if non-continuous data access happens, block based cache architecture degrade performance because data reusability is broken. In this paper, prefetch based enhanced rolling cache method is proposed. Proposed method not only improves data reusability for sequential processing cases, but also maintains efficiently even if data reusability is broken. Our experimental results show that the proposed method reduces CPU stall time and the number of cache refill clocks counts up to 60% compared to previous methods.

This paper addresses the application of bi-path stub-loaded in-parallel-transmission-line-type transversal filtering sections (TFSs) to the design of signal-interference microwave planar multi-band bandpass filters (BPFs). It is demonstrated that by inserting a ground-ended loading stub in one of the signal-propagation paths of their building TFSs, several performance benefits in multi-band planar BPFs can be gained. Among them, it is particularly noticed i) the creation of a higher number of passbands for a particular size of the TFS two-path loop, ii) DC-transmission supression, and iii) synthesis of wide-band dual-band bandpass filtering responses with broadly-separated passbands. A comparison of the stub-loaded TFS with its classic counterpart is provided. Two design examples consisting of three-stage quad-band and broad-band dual-band BPFs with widely-spaced passbands, along with measurements for the former one, are also presented.

This paper examines the applicability of capacitive-loading-based size-reduction techniques to wideband and multi-band signal-interference planar filters. Using this approach, a miniaturized 0.96/1.84-GHz dual-band bandpass filter (BPF) shaped by a branch-line-coupler-type transversal filtering section (TFS) is built and measured. It features a 55.4% area decrease in relation to its fully-planar counterpart. Besides, a compact-size 2-GHz reconfigurable-bandwidth BPF made up of two TFSs loaded with switchable stubs is designed. Its layout shows a size reduction of 56.0% when compared to its classic precursor. For both design examples, the trade-off existing between miniaturization level and narrowing effect of their transfer function is discussed.

This paper focuses on the design of wide-band bandpass filters (BPFs) with dynamic in-band interference suppression. They are based on a new class of a signal-interference transversal filtering section (TFS) that consists of three signal paths that are effectively combined so that an absorptive notch (AN) - exhibiting theoretically infinite attenuation - is created within the BPF passband. In the devised implementation, the center frequency of the rejection band is reconfigured by altering the resonant frequency of two capacitively-loaded microstrip-line resonators that are incorporated into one of the propagation paths. The proposed design approach allows realizations of filter circuits with approximately 50% smaller size than that of conventional filter cascades shaped by the series connection of a BPF and an AN filter. For proof-of-concept validation purposes, an experimental prototype is built and measured. It demonstrates a tunable AN between 1.8 and 2.5 GHz located within a wide-band passband centered at 2 GHz.

The KEEL software provides several methods to mine fuzzy association rules, however, few modules are available to study them. In this paper we introduce four new KEEL modules to analyze and export fuzzy association rules. Firstly, we present a module to calculate various interest measures for existing sets of fuzzy association rules in order to analyze rules on the basis of their potential interest to the user. Then, two visualization modules are proposed to generate different kinds of graphs from interest measures, making easier the analysis of the rules. Finally, we present a module to export obtained rules to the standard PMML in order to be able to take advantages of other software. The utility of these new modules is illustrated in a case study.

This article presents a bathymetric SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) solution for underwater vehicles by addressing the registration of point clouds gathered from single line laser-based structured light systems. While structured light can be applied to generate millimetre resolution seafloor bathymetry, the accuracy of the maps generated is typically constrained by the localization accuracy of the vehicles used. In this work, relative uncertainties in vehicle localisation are reduced by implementing bathymetric SLAM using temporally constrained submaps. We demonstrate that the method described can overcome misalignments by correcting errors in localisation and can be used to generate self-consistent high-resolution seafloor bathymetric maps.
