An Active Deception Defense Model Based on Address Mutation and Fingerprint Camouflage

The static and predictable characteristics of cyber systems give attackers an asymmetric advantage in gathering useful information and launching *** reverse this asymmetric advantage,a new defense idea,called Moving Target Defense(MTD),has been proposed to provide additional selectable measures to complement traditional ***,MTD is unable to defeat the sophisticated attacker with fingerprint tracking *** overcome this limitation,we go one step beyond and show that the combination of MTD and Deception-based Cyber Defense(DCD)can achieve higher performance than either of *** particular,we first introduce and formalize a novel attacker model named Scan and Foothold Attack(SFA)based on cyber kill ***,we develop probabilistic models for SFA defenses to provide a deeper analysis of the theoretical effect under different defense *** models quantify attack success probability and the probability that the attacker will be deceived under various conditions,such as the size of address space,and the number of hosts,attack analysis ***,the experimental results show that the actual defense effect of each strategy almost perfectly follows its probabilistic ***,the defense strategy of combining address mutation and fingerprint camouflage can achieve a better defense effect than the single address mutation.

A Method for Estimating Bedrock Ground Motion Based on Nonlinear Time-history Analysis

This paper proposes a method for estimating earthquake motion at the engineering bedrock level using surface seismic observation records, by employing nonlinear time domain analysis. In addition to general optimization methods, the perturbation waveform incorporated in a forward analysis was used to drastically improve the convergence of calculations. Furthermore, the equivalent single-degree-of-freedom model of the ground was incorporated when performing the nonlinear analysis in the time domain. As a result, the calculation time decreased sufficiently to be able to estimate seismic motion more economically in terms of cost, while still considering complex soil nonlinearity. © 2022 Ken-yusha Inc.. In recent years,the southwestern region of China has experienced a surge in significant mountain collapses,predominantly linked to underground mining *** investigation targets the Jiguanling area in Wulong,Chongqing,employing the UDEC numerical simulation technique to meticulously examine the deformation and failure characteristics,rock mass movement patterns,fracture evolution processes,and stress transmission mechanisms of anti-dip rock slopes composed of stratified *** slopes are inherently susceptible to bending and tilting due to their own *** findings elucidate that the predominant failure mode of anti-dip rock karst slopes is the inclined sliding(shear)type,which mirrors the fracture evolution mechanism as they extend in a quadrilateral pattern from the top and bottom plates of the mining area to the critical blocks at the rear and front edges of the *** disaster mechanism can be encapsulated as the"initial roof movement phase,direct roof collapse and crack propagation phase,critical block locking and sliding resistance phase,and deterioration phase".The four distinct stages of development and transformation encompass critical block slip(shear)and slope instability *** increase in coal seam thickness enlarges the deformation space in the lower part,while the dip angle of the coal seam influences the length and displacement range of rock fracture *** mining sequence alters the stress failure mode of the underlying critical blocks,and the vertical height of the mining step distance modifies the potential sliding surface and failure mode of the underlying critical ***,the distance between the goaf and the surface,along with the height of the mining impact,impacts the stability of the reverse *** results demonstrate that mining activities are the primary factor inducing the collapse of anti-dip rock slopes,with natural factors playing a secondary role.

With the development of TT&C equipment, the large scale, complex composition, and high maintenance costs caused by the large number of analog circuits in TT&C equipment have hindered the improvement of the overall technical level of the system. Therefore, the development and application of radio frequency digitization technology in TT&C equipment has been applied. To satisfy the technology development requirement of TT&C equipment on radio digitalization and software baseband signal processing, the system scheme based on direct radio digitalization and IP packets transfer for S-band signals was designed. This paper gives the processing technique of direct radio digitalization and IP packets transfer for S-band signals, analysis their effects on TT&C functions and performances, and puts forward ways to resolve these problems. This technique, which can satisfy requirements for spacecraft tracking, range and Doppler measurement, telemetry and command, has been put into use on the new generation TT&C equipment. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Channel pruning method driven by similarity of feature extraction capability

Channel pruning is a method to compress convolutional neural networks, which can significantly reduce the number of model parameters and the computational amount. Current methods that focus on the internal parameters of a model and feature mapping information rely on artificially set a priori criteria or reflect filter attributes by partial feature mapping, which lack the ability to analyze and discriminate the channel feature extraction and ignore the basic reasons for the similarity of the channels. This study developed a pruning method based on similar structural features of channels, called SSF. This method focuses on analysing the ability to extract similar features between channels and exploring the characteristics of channels producing similar feature mapping. First, adaptive threshold coding was introduced to numerically transform the channel characteristics into structural features, and channels with similar coding results could generate highly similar feature mapping. Secondly, the spatial distance was calculated for the structural features matrix to obtain the similarity between channels. Moreover, in order to keep rich channel classes in the pruned network, different class cuts were made on the basis of similarity to randomly remove some of the channels. Thirdly, considering the differences in the overall similarity of different layers, this study determined the appropriate pruning ratio for different layers on the basis of the channel dispersion degree reflected by the similarity. Finally, extensive experiments were conducted on image classification tasks, and the experimental results demonstrated the superiority of the SSF method over many existing techniques. On ILSVRC-2012, the SSF method reduced the floating-point operations (FLOPs) of the ResNet-50 model by 57.70% while reducing the Top-1 accuracy only by 1.01%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2025.

A strategy for strengthening chaotic mixing of dual shaft eccentric mixers by changing non-Newtonian fluids kinetic energy distribution

Efficiently modulating the velocity distribution and flow pattern of non-Newtonian fluids is a critical challenge in the context of dual shaft eccentric mixers for process intensification,posing a significant barrier for the existing ***,this work reports a convenient strategy that changes the kinetic energy to controllably regulate the flow patterns from radial flow to axial *** showed that the desired velocity distribution and flow patterns could be effectively obtained by varying the number and structure of baffles to change kinetic energy,and a more uniform velocity distribution,which could not be reached normally in standard baffle dual shaft mixers,was easily ***,a comparative analysis of velocity and shear rate distributions is employed to elucidate the mechanism behind the generation of flow patterns in various dual-shaft eccentric ***,there is little difference in the power number of the laminar flow at the same Reynolds number,meaning that the baffle type has no effect on the power consumption,while the power number of both unbaffle and U-shaped baffle mixing systems decreases compared with the standard baffle mixing system in the transition ***,at the same rotational condition,the dimensionless mixing time of the U-shaped baffle mixing system is 15.3%and 7.9%shorter than that of the standard baffle and the unbaffle mixing system,respectively,which shows the advantage of the U-shaped baffle in stirring rate.

A novel ZnCo2O4/BiOBr p-n/Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst for enhancing photocatalytic activity

In this study, we developed a novel p-n/Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst, ZnCo2O4/BiOBr (ZCo/BB), through a straightforward and safe hydrothermal-calcination-solvent thermal method. The composite photocatalyst demonstrated exceptional photocatalytic efficacy, particularly when the mass ratio of ZnCo2O4 was 25% (referred to as 25% ZCo/BB). Structural characterization and electrochemical analysis revealed that 25% ZCo/BB exhibited a larger specific surface area and a faster electron transfer rate. Under visible light exposure for 30 min, methylene blue (MB) degradation reached 92%, and the reaction rate constants were 8.2 and 3.7 times higher than those observed for individual ZnCo2O4 and BiOBr, respectively. Furthermore, the 25% ZCo/BB demonstrated exceptional photocatalytic stability over four cycles, maintaining over 80% MB degradation after each cycle. The outstanding photocatalytic activity was attributed to the p-n/Z-scheme heterojunction construction, which promoted charge separation and inhibited carrier recombination. In addition, ·OH and h+ were the major active species in photocatalysis, and ·O2- was identified as a secondary active species. This work presents an efficient heterojunction photocatalyst for the degradation of organic wastewater. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Pronounced temporal changes in soil microbial community and nitrogen transformation caused by benzalkonium chloride

As one typical cationic disinfectant, quaternary ammonium compounds(QACs) were approved for surface disinfection in the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic and then unintentionally or intentionally released into the surrounding environment. Concerningly, it is still unclear how the soil microbial community succession happens and the nitrogen(N)cycling processes alter when exposed to QACs. In this study, one common QAC(benzalkonium chloride(BAC) was selected as the target contaminant, and its effects on the temporal changes in soil microbial community structure and nitrogen transformation processes were determined by q PCR and 16S r RNA sequencing-based methods. The results showed that the aerobic microbial degradation of BAC in the two different soils followed first-order kinetics with a half-life(4.92 vs. 17.33 days) highly dependent on the properties of the soil. BAC activated the abundance of N fixation gene(nif H) and nitrification genes(AOA and AOB) in the soil and inhibited that of denitrification gene(nar G). BAC exposure resulted in the decrease of the alpha diversity of soil microbial community and the enrichment of Crenarchaeota and Proteobacteria. This study demonstrates that BAC degradation is accompanied by changes in soil microbial community structure and N transformation capacity.
