The degree of similarity between fuzzy numbers plays an important role in fuzzy information fusion. In this paper, improved ROG-based similarity measure developed from the current ROG method is presented. It is shown that the new method can overcome some shortcomings of the existing similarity measures. Based on the proposed similarity measure, a more flexible and intelligent algorithm is developed to deal with multisensor data fusion problems. A numerical example is used to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method. © 2011 ACADEMY PUBLISHER.

In this paper, we present a capacitive proximity sensor (CPS) array for static gesture recognition and distance estimation. A 4×4 electrode matrix is employed as the sensing element that is configured to 14 electrode operation patterns to obtain 14 capacitive sensors to percept objects within their sensing region. These 14 capacitances are fused into one feature vector which is used as the input of machine learning (ML) classifier for gesture recognition and neural network or regression model for distance estimation. In our experiments, we selected 10 static gestures to verify the proposed method. We compared the performance of 8 ML classifiers and their variations with training data size. The results show that the Bagging achieves the highest average accuracy of 93.2% and the KNN shows a good performance even with a small training data size. The results in distance estimation experiment demonstrate that the RBF network performs a high accuracy. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Dual-State Personalized Knowledge Tracing with Emotional Incorporation

Knowledge tracing has been widely used in online learning systems to guide the students' future learning. However, most existing KT models primarily focus on extracting abundant information from the question sets and explore the relationships between them, but ignore the personalized student behavioral information in the learning process. This will limit the model's ability to accurately capture the personalized knowledge states of students and reasonably predict their performances. To alleviate this limitation, we explicitly models the personalized learning process by incorporating the emotions, a representative personalized behavior in the learning process, into KT framework. Specifically, we present a novel Dual-State Personalized Knowledge Tracing with Emotional Incorporation model to achieve this goal: Firstly, we incorporate emotional information into the modeling process of knowledge state, resulting in the Knowledge State Boosting Module. Secondly, we design an Emotional State Tracing Module to monitor students' personalized emotional states, and propose an emotion prediction method based on personalized emotional states. Finally, we apply the predicted emotions to enhance students' response prediction. Furthermore, to extend the generalization capability of our model across different datasets, we design a transferred version of DEKT, named Transfer Learningbased Self-loop model (T-DEKT). The cyclic codes with parity check polynomial the reciprocal of the characteristic polynomial of the Fibonacci recurrence over a prime finite field are shown to have either one weight or two weights. When these codes are irreducible cyclic we obtain many counterexamples to the conjectural classification of two-weight irreducible cyclic codes of Schmidt and White (2002). Constructions of optimal LCD codes over large finite fields

In this paper, we prove existence of optimal complementary dual codes (LCD codes) over large finite fields. We also give methods to generate orthogonal matrices over finite fields and then apply them to construct LCD codes. Risk evaluation is very important to the design and improvement of physical protection systems. In this paper, an evaluation method of multi-source information fusion is proposed based on the D-S evidence theory. In the proposed method, each individual component of the protection system in the simulated plane is modeled. Then, the threat report of each component according to the specific tactics is determined based on its real environment. Finally, the comprehensive threat distribution is obtained based on through the D-S evidence theory to combine multi-sources information. The proposed method can easily applied to the evaluation of the effectiveness of the protection system. We make the total threat of the protection system lowest through changes of the protection resources allocation. A numerical example is used to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method. The Dempster-Shafer (D-S) evidence theory is widely used in many fields of information fusion. However, counter-intuitive results may be obtained by the classical Dempster combination rule when collected evidences are highly in conflict with each other. So an optimal weighted average information fusion method is proposed. Firstly, the global distance of the weighted evidence is presented based on the distance function. Secondly, the optimal weight of every evidence body was acquired by genetic algorithm, while the global distance is the minimum. Finally, the weighted average of the masses is combined by classical Dempster's rule. Compared with existing methods, the proposed optimal method can effectively handle conflicting evidence with better performance of convergence. Numerical examples are illustrated the effectiveness of the proposed method. ICIC International © 2011.

A group of decision-makers may differ in their choice of alternatives while taking a decision. So, in any decision-making problem concerning decisions made by a group, the question arises how best we can aggregate individual choices into a general consensus choice. Due to the inherent uncertain property of the problems in the ambiguous decision domain, the decision makers may use interval numbers to represent their opinions in some situations. In this paper, a simple method is proposed to aggregate interval numbers. Some desirable properties of this method are also discussed. Evidence theory is widely used in many application systems such as information fusion and decision making under uncertainty environment. However, the classical Dempster combination rule is not efficient to deal with highly conflicting evidences. One of the open issues is how to determine the conflict degree in conflict evidence management. In this paper, a new conflict coefficient is proposed to measure the conflict degree between bodies of evidence. It can overcome some drawbacks of the classical conflict coefficient. Digital Rights Management (DRM) is a type of access-control technology that is used by diverse content providers to restrict the use of digital content. Enterprise Digital Rights Management (E-DRM) is an application of DRM techniques for managing the control of access to sensitive documents in an enterprise. In this paper, we propose a group key distribution system for E-DRM based on the concept of a secret-sharing mechanism and the generalized Aryabhata remainder theorem (GART). To the best of our knowledge, no previous publications related to E-DRM technologies have presented the group key distribution system that we propose. In our system, different groups of enterprise members within the enterprise obtain different digital content in parallel without collision by using their group’s unique session key;all members within each group share a common session key to decrypt the same digital documents to acquire the correct content. We proved that our system achieves the goal of providing high security, which includes preventing inside and outside attacks and offering forward and backward secrecy. © 2015.
