As an extended rough set model, the probabilistic rough sets can effectively process data with noise. How to effectively calculate three approximation regions, is a crucial issue of probability rough sets. Existing calculation methods for approximation regions are based on conditional probability, the time complexity is O(|U||U||C|). In order to improve the computing efficiency of three approximation regions of probabilistic rough sets, we propose a double-local conditional probability based fast calculation method. First, to improve the computational efficiency of equivalence class, we define the double-local equivalence class. Second, based on the double-local equivalence class, we define the double-local conditional probability. Finally, given the probability thresholds and a local equivalence class, the monotonicity of double-local conditional probability is proved, on this basis, a double-local conditional probability based fast calculation method for approximation regions of probabilistic rough sets is presented, and the time complexity is O(MAX(X||U||C|, |XC||U||C|)). Experimental results based on 12 datasets from UCI demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Anisotropic Infrared Absorption in Monolayer Black Phosphorus Metasurface With/Without Local Oxidative Effect

As one kind of anisotropic two-dimensional (2-D) layered material, the monolayer black phosphorus (BP) has ability to excite the surface plasmon resonance in the infrared spectrum, thus providing sufficient conditions for the strong light-matter interaction, so that some potential applications can be shown in the field of optoelectronics. Based on those physical properties, we design the patterned monolayer BP to achieve extremely high infrared absorption, and meanwhile use the finite element method to model the effects of factors such as n-type doping concentration, dielectric thickness, and angle of incidence light. Moreover, due to the strong anisotropic in-plane properties of monolayer BP, we analyze detailedly the absorption spectra in both the armchair and zigzag directions separately, and then understand that low-angle narrow-band absorption in the zigzag direction could be captured in that structure. The structure could achieve perfect absorption in the zigzag direction at an incidence angle of 89.3° with n-type doping concentration n=3×1013 cm-2 and medium thickness d = 4.6 μm, and the maximum absorption can reach 99.98% with the full width at half peak (FWHM) of only 0.57 μm. Considering the case on surface oxidation, it may occur some possible effects for the perfect absorption, but with our structure, the proposed narrow-band absorption still has wide applications in the sensing and light body monitoring. © 2023, The Authors. To overcome image degradation under the conditions of haze,and fog,a method using conditional generative adversarial defogging algorithm based on polarization characteristic is *** original images with different polarization angles were obtained from the original image,and then the polarization images were characterized using Stokes *** the relationship between Stokes vector and polarization image,each polarization image with different angles is input into the same network to extract *** the same time,the enhanced network is used to extract the characteristics of the fog area in the polarization image,and the polarization information is extracted by layer jump connection,which is fused with the image features of different *** constructing the loss function and obtaining the optimal solution,the fog-free image is finally *** results show that a clear image can be reconstructed in fog situations by using conditional generative adversarial network-based on polarization characteristics,and the structural similarity is improved by about 10%,the peak signal to noise ratio is increased by about 0.5.

At present, Internet of Things (IoT) testing instruments and meters are unable to identify the communication protocol of communication data when all characteristic parameters of communication data are unknown. Regarding this problem, this paper utilizes the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) model in machine learning, designs communication protocol identification methods and proposes a communication protocol identification method based on time-frequency domain combination (CPI- TFC). First, we generate time-domain waveforms and frequency-domain waveforms from sampling communication data sequences, and attempt only time-domain identification method and only frequency-domain identification method based on KNN model. Then, we compare the results, design a communication protocol identification method based on the combination of time-domain identification and frequency domain identification, and propose CPI-TFC. Experimental results show that CPI-TFC can achieve higher identification accuracy than only time-domain identification method and only frequency-domain identification method, so it can effectively identify the communication protocol for a IoT communication data. Moreover, CPI- TFC can provide prior information for subsequent configuring parameters in IoT testing instruments, improve the parameter configuration efficiency.

Recently, the development of LiDAR in the field of vehicle has made the core micromirror with essential characteristics of large tilted angle and small size. We proposed a two-dimensional electrostatically actuated MEMS micromirror with a slender torsion bar. With the modified theoretical formula, two different torsional modes and corresponding torsional frequencies of the micromirror are obtained, which are then compared to the results by finite element simulation, and revealed a good agreement. The rotation angle of the micromirror is improved through optimizing the micromirror structure. Meanwhile, it is found that the driving voltage and the moment of inertia introduce the softening behavior of the spring, which will then affect the torsion frequency. To prevent the torsion bar stress is too large, with the sinusoidal driving voltage of 75V and 100V, the corresponding mechanical rotation angles are 14.8° and 15.3° at a driving frequency of 340.5Hz and 1500Hz, respectively. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, we propose two new subband adaptive filtering (SAF) algorithms based on the cost function of the logistic distance metric cost function and use the proportionate proximal gradient algorithm to exploit the sparsity of the system fully. Compared with prior works, the proposed algorithms can handle many different situations better. Through computer simulations, we prove that the algorithm performs excellently in sparse systems disturbed by impulse noises. The algorithm can be used in areas like system identifications.

Andrew's Sine Estimator (ASE) has recently been used to invent adaptive filtering, which can combat more kind of noises than conventional estimators. Inspired by the LMS and its sparse forms, normalization and proportionate ASE algorithms with Lawson constraints are constructed with the respective given names of Lawson normalization ASE (LNASE) and Lawson proportionate NASE (LPNASE). Simulations are performed to analyze the performance of these algorithms under impulsive noise. © 2022 IEEE.

Performer: A High-Performance Global-Local Model-Augmented with Dual Network Interaction Mechanism

In deep learning, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) focus on local information through convolutional kernels, while transformers attend to global information using self-attention mechanisms. The union of these distinct approaches enables a more comprehensive extraction of image features. However, the feature map dimensions of CNN and Transformer differ, leading to dimension mismatch issues when combining these architectures. Additionally, the parameter size of the hybrid model integrating both architectures remains large, making it difficult to train. To further augmenting the interpretation of complex image patterns, we present Performer, a dual-network architecture that seamlessly combines CNNs and transformers, resulting in a novel and efficient representation learning model. In the Performer model, we innovate by devising a unique interaction methodology for CNN and transformer architectures to enhance the image feature extraction capabilities mutually. To counteract issue of dimensionality mismatch, we also introduce a refined transformer block, a advancement over the transformer block of ViT. To validate the effectiveness of Performer, we conduct extensive experiments on both classification and segmentation tasks. Performer achieve an accuracy of 83.37% on the ImageNet-200 dataset. For semantic segmentation, Performer excels on the CamVid and Hippocampus datasets. On CamVid, our model achieves a mean Intersection over Union (mIoU) of 63.27% and Pixel Accuracy of 92.11%, demonstrating superior performance in capturing fine details and handling complex scenes effectively. A Decentralized Threshold Credential Management with Fine-Grained Authentication for VANETs

In Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs), vehicles must authenticate their identities before accessing services. However, existing authentication schemes based on anonymous credentials still face single-point failure in multi-authority scenarios. In addition, in traditional anonymous credential schemes, the public key of credential authority is used directly to verify the credential, which may increase the risk of vehicle privacy being misused. To address these issues, we propose a decentralized threshold credential management system with fine-grained authentication for VANETs. The decentralized credential management architecture is proposed for VANETs with multiple credential authorities, each credential authority consists of multiple credential managers who issue credentials using the threshold mechanism, effectively solving the single-point failure. Based on this architecture, we design a fine grained, privacy-preserving authentication scheme that allows vehicles to autonomously perform selective attribute disclosure, credential aggregation, and randomization before requesting verification from the Cloud Service Provider, thereby achieving a balance between privacy preservation and authentication efficiency. The security proofs and analysis show that our scheme satisfies the target security properties. Performance evaluations indicate that our scheme enables efficient, flexible credential management and authentication in VANETs while ensuring privacy preservation. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

Depression has become a major global public health challenge. Social media texts reflect users’ emotional and psychological states, providing a valuable data source for depression detection through natural language analysis. However, current research still faces limitations in modeling the collab.rative representation of user texts and dynamic behaviors. To address this, we propose MVDep, a model that integrates multi-view features to enhance social text representation for depression detection. Specifically, we enhance text representation by investigating depression from multi-view, including social media texts, user profiles, and social behaviors, enabling more effective depression detection. First, we conduct initial filtering of social media texts using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), and then screen out the uncertain domain of data samples based on the three-way decision (3WD). Next, we extract quantified user profiles and social behavioral features to enhance the representation of depression tendencies for uncertain domain samples. Finally, we fuse the multi-view features derived from social media texts, user profiles and social behaviors, improving the model’s ability to detect depression. We evaluate our model on the SWDD dataset, demonstrating its superiority over state-of-the-art baseline models in depression detection tasks. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.
