Multi-Granularity Prosodic Speech Synthesis with Grammar Information

Personalized speech synthesis involves learning an individual's unique speaking patterns from a reference audio to generate speech that mimics the speaker's habitual rhythm. However, the one-to-many mapping between text and speech, combined with the dynamic nature of personalized speech style characteristics in the reference audio, poses significant challenges for accurate personalized speech synthesis. In this paper, we propose a Grammar Infused Multi-granularity Prosody Network (GMG ProsodyNet) for personalized speech synthesis. Specifically, 1) We model prosodic features hierarchically at the levels of utterance, content syntax, word, and phoneme. We utilize the utterance-level prosodic feature to guide the prediction of fine-grained prosodic features according to the hierarchical property of prosodic features. We introduce a context syntax encoder to improve the prediction accuracy of duration, pitch, and energy characteristics in the synthesized audio. The proposed word-level prosodic encoder can efficiently extract valuable pitch dynamic and speech continuity features from the word spectrum. For controlling subtle prosodic nuances, we employ phoneme-level prosodic modeling. 2) We extract syntax level prosodic features from the syntax graph constructed by Graph Neural Network (GNN) with word as node, exploiting grammatical dependencies between distant words. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed GMG ProsodyNet can effectively encode delicate and personalized prosodic features, leading to improved speech synthesis quality, fluency, and naturalness. © 2024, The Authors. Multi-exposure image fusion (MEF) is one of the effective ways to obtain high dynamic range (HDR) images. Multi-scale structural patch decomposition based MEF(MSPD) and edge-preserving structural patch decomposition (MESPD) have achieved state-of-the-art fusion quality. MESPD incorporates edge-preserving factors into MSPD to preserve details in a single-scale setting. However, we find that the edge-preserving factors put too much emphasis on the edge, resulting in artifacts on some edges and loss of details. To tackle this issue, guided filter is introduced into MSPD, which is directly used as an edge-preserving filter instead of mean filter to implicitly decompose images. In addition, we have designed a flexible adaptive weight, which can further maintain details of the light and dark areas. Likewise, we inherit MESPD and MSPD to extend our method to multi-scale framework. Extensive experimental results demonstrate our method can produce satisfactory results in both static and dynamic scenes with fewer artifacts and low computational cost.

Snapshot compressed imaging (SCI) can encode an image sequence into a single-frame measurement and has the advantages of low requirements for physical sensors, low bandwidth/ memory requirements, and a fast acquisition speed. However, existing snapshot compressed imaging mainly focuses on incoherent imaging, such as video/hyperspectral imaging, and research on coherent imaging is rare. In this paper, snapshot compressed sensing is introduced for coherent imaging conditions, and a spatio-temporal coherent snapshot compressed imaging method with time-varying composite phase masks is proposed. Numerical experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of our proposed spatio-temporal coherent snapshot compressed imaging with time-varying composite phase masks method (CSCI-CPM) in terms of the reconstruction quality and robustness for both self-sparse and complex cases. © 2023, The Authors. The critical node detection for sequential attacks based on cascading failure model is an important way for analyzing network vulnerability, which has attracted the attention of many researchers in the field of complex network recently. However, most of the existing cascading critical node detection algorithms focus on designing effective attack strategies leading to the maximal damage to the network (i.e. attack effect), while ignoring the cost of attacks. To this end, we transform the cascading critical node detection for sequential attacks as a bi-objective optimization problem (named BCVNDSeq), where the attack cost and the attack effect are simultaneously optimized. In order to solve the transformed problem, we propose a multiobjective cascading critical node detection algorithm (named MO-BCVNDSeq), which can provide decision makers with a holistic view for analyzing the network vulnerability. In MO-BCVNDSeq, a local search strategy based on sequential matrix is proposed to accelerate the population convergence and an individual repairing strategy is also suggested to further improve the search efficiency. Finally, the experimental results on 6 real-world complex networks demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared with several representative baselines. © 2020 IEEE.

Three-way decision is the representative of trisecting-acting-outcome(TAO) model. Considering the temporality, in dynamic information systems, the objects may be inserted or deleted,attributes may be added or removed, and attributes values may be updated or modified. These variations can be reflected by the TAO model, which cares about consideration at different levels, acquisition of strategies, and handling of issues based on Strategies. Considering the spatiality, different levels, and different perspectives of granular structure are created by the sequential approach of three-way decision. In this paper, in order to fuse hybrid data, a sequential three-way decision is proposed by the combination of temporality and spatiality. Firstly, We present the frameworks of spatiality-based and temporality-based and focus on temporal-spatial three-way decision. Then we provide three operations to construct the composite POS structure by combining a family of approximations. Based on the composite POS structure, three different strategies for the fusion of dynamic hybrid data are adopted. Finally, we design the algorithm and implement a series of comparison experiments to verify our model is effective. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Tunnel Oxide Passivation Contacts (TOPCon) solar cells have achieved high efficiency and become mainstream product in the global photovoltaic (PV) market. However, their long-term reliability, especially under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions, lacks sufficient field validation, and there is a lack of lifetime prediction models for TOPCon modules. To address this, we developed a robust accelerated aging model by integrating an improved Peck model with a sigmoidal degradation function, incorporating internal humidity and temperature as critical factors. The model employs a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to calibrate activation energy and humidity sensitivity parameters, enabling precise degradation trajectory simulation. Validated through a "fitting + testing" framework, the model achieves high accuracy (RMSE = 0.7%) in predicting power degradation under Damp Heat (DH), Highly Accelerated Stress Test (HAST), and modified Pressure Cooker Test (mPCT) conditions. Accelerated aging tests reveal that DH-induced degradation primarily reduces fill factor (FF) due to finger corrosion, with minimal impact on Voc and Isc. Experimental validation using a non-commercial corrosion-sensitive BOM combination shows that polyolefin elastomer (POE)-encapsulated modules exhibit superior corrosion resistance, projecting a service lifetime 23 years longer than EVA/EVA encapsulation in high-humidity regions like Hainan. This work bridges the gap in TOPCon module lifetime prediction under extreme environments, offering actionable insights for optimizing encapsulation materials and enhancing reliability. The model provides a scalab.e framework for evaluating module performance under site-specific climatic conditions, accelerating the development of durable PV technologies. © 2025, The Authors. In this paper, we first generalize the polycyclic codes over finite fields to polycyclic codes over the mixed alphabet $$\mathbb {Z}_2\mathbb {Z}_4$$ , and we show that these codes can be identified as $$\mathbb {Z}_4[x]$$ -submodules of $$\mathcal {R}_{\alpha ,\beta }$$ with $$\mathcal {R}_{\alpha ,\beta }=\mathbb {Z}_2[x]/\langle t_1(x)\rangle \times \mathbb {Z}_4[x]/\langle t_2(x)\rangle $$ , where $$t_1(x)$$ and $$t_2(x)$$ are monic polynomials over $$\mathbb {Z}_2$$ and $$\mathbb {Z}_4$$ , respectively. Then we provide the generator polynomials and minimal generating sets for this family of codes based on the strong Gröbner basis. In particular, under the proper defined inner product, we study the dual of $$\mathbb {Z}_2\mathbb {Z}_4$$ -additive polycyclic codes. Finally, we focus on the characterization of the $$\mathbb {Z}_2\mathbb {Z}_4$$ -MDSS and MDSR codes, and as examples, we also present some (almost) optimal binary codes derived from the $$\mathbb {Z}_2\mathbb {Z}_4$$ -additive polycyclic codes.

Nonreciprocal transmission of structured light has possible applications in high-capacity optical communication and high-dimensional signal processing. Here, we demonstrate the magnet-free and cavity-free optical nonreciprocity of an orbital-angular-momentum (OAM) beam using optical-pumping technology with the assistance of the Doppler effect in hot atoms. By using optical pumping to induce a direction-dependent population transfer of the ground-state atoms, we realize optical nonreciprocity for the signal laser that is carrying OAM. Interestingly, an isolation ratio close to 30 dB and maximum transmission over 0.86 can be achieved simultaneously without the use of an optical cavity. Due to the unique amplitude and helical phase profile of the structured light, our proposal may open an avenue for exploring the singularity characteristics of optical nonreciprocity using structured light.

Aiming at the problem that reprojection error (RE) cannot reflect the camera calibration accuracy intuitively, this paper proposes a method to verify the camera calibration results in world coordinate system. Firstly, the checkerboard calibration target is photographed with the camera under test, and the internal parameters and distortion parameters of the camera are calculated by using the pinhole model and the Kannala-Brandt (KB) fisheye model, respectively. Then, the same camera is used to shoot two targets in the field of view (FOV), and the pixel coordinates of the two target points are detected from the image. Thirdly, the inverse projection model is used to calculate the distance between the two objects and the angle between the camera and the two objects, and the real distance and angle are compared. The experimental results show that the average distance errors of the pinhole model and the KB fisheye model are 0.34% and 0.35%, respectively, and the angle errors are 0.40% and 0.12%, respectively, which proves that the verification method can effectively characterize the calibration accuracy of the camera.
