In the conventional robust optimization(RO)context,the uncertainty is regarded as residing in a predetermined and fixed uncertainty *** many applications,however,uncertainties are affected by decisions,making the current RO framework *** paper investigates a class of two-stage RO problems that involve decision-dependent *** introduce a class of polyhedral uncertainty sets whose right-hand-side vector has a dependency on the here-and-now decisions and seek to derive the exact optimal wait-and-see decisions for the second-stage problem.A novel iterative algorithm based on the Benders dual decomposition is proposed where advanced optimality cuts and feasibility cuts are designed to incorporate the uncertainty-decision *** computational tractability,robust feasibility and optimality,and convergence performance of the proposed algorithm are guaranteed with theoretical *** motivating application examples that feature the decision-dependent uncertainties are ***,the proposed solution methodology is verified by conducting case studies on the pre-disaster highway investment problem.

As a renewable energy source, photovoltaic (PV) power generation is becoming increasingly essential in power systems. Accurate forecasting of PV power output is crucial for effective regulation and control of these systems. This paper explores the applicability of the Bayesian structural time series model for PV power generation forecasting using causal inference techniques. The research examines various factors that influence PV power generation and assesses their causal relationships. The developed forecasting model for PV power generation integrates the Bayesian structural time series approach. The accuracy of the proposed model is validated through case studies, demonstrating the successful incorporation of causal inference in PV power generation prediction. This study lays the foundation for future research on utilizing causal inference to evaluate the impacts of specific system changes.

Establishing the dynamics model of the offshore drilling experimental system can better complete the offshore drilling test in the laboratory environment and reduce the cost of testing. A dynamical modeling method for the offshore drilling experimental system built on the double-layer Stewart parallel mechanism is proposed. Firstly, the kinematic and dynamical characteristics of the double-layer Stewart parallel mechanism are combined with the Lagrange method and the virtual work method to establish the dynamics model of the mechanism. Then a parameter identification scheme is designed using a nonlinear gray system estimation method based on the trust-domain reflection algorithm, and the model parameters are identified. The model is downscaled to improve the feasibility of the identification scheme and the accuracy of the identified parameters. The actual experimental system data verify this model's correctness and the model parameters' accuracy. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

As various industries experiencing post-pandemic economic recovery, power systems face increased challenges. Short-term power load forecasting for regional power grids can assist in anticipating load fluctuations and optimizing power system management planning. This paper tackles the gradient vanishing issue in deep graph convolutional neural networks (GCNs) by incorporating a residual module to create a residual graph convolutional neural network (ResGCN). Data from a regional power grid in the United States is utilized for validation purposes. Experimental results show that the graph convolutional neural network with the residual module generates predictions closer to the actual values, consequently enhancing prediction accuracy and confirming the efficacy of the proposed ResGCN.

The interoperability of heterogeneous networks, including hybrid industrial wired/wireless protocols, is a vital aspect of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) since various industrial protocols have coexisted. Therefore, it is hard to obtain a multiple protocol conversion solution with the flexible configuration. Moreover, the previous works do not adapt to the Time Sensitive Networking (TSN), which is considered as the potential technology of IIoT. To tackle the above problems, we proposed an architecture of the multiple conversion system supporting the conversion of multiple protocols. Then, we proposed a protocol conversion mechanism to improve the flexibility of multiple protocol conversion by separating into data and configuration planes. Moreover, we propose a TSN-compatible frame with dynamic priority mapping algorithm, which adjusts the priority in the VLAN tag by the processing delay. Finally, we develop a hardware module and system supporting multiple protocol conversion, which verify that the proposed architecture could satisfy the flexible conversion requirement through the experiments. © 2022 IEEE.

MC-NeRF: Multi-Camera Neural Radiance Fields for Multi-Camera Image Acquisition systems

Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) use multi-view images for 3D scene representation, demonstrating remarkable performance. As one of the primary sources of multi-view images, multi-camera systems encounter challenges such as varying intrinsic parameters and frequent pose changes. Most previous NeRF-based methods assume a unique camera and rarely consider multi-camera scenarios. Besides, some NeRF methods that can optimize intrinsic and extrinsic parameters still remain susceptible to suboptimal solutions when these parameters are poor initialized. In this paper, we propose MC-NeRF, a method that enables joint optimization of both intrinsic and extrinsic parameters alongside NeRF. The method also supports each image corresponding to independent camera parameters. First, we tackle coupling issue and the degenerate case that arise from the joint optimization between intrinsic and extrinsic parameters. Second, based on the proposed solutions, we introduce an efficient calibration image acquisition scheme for multi-camera systems, including the design of calibration object. Finally, we present an end-to-end network with training sequence that enables the estimation of intrinsic and extrinsic parameters, along with the rendering network. Furthermore, recognizing that most existing datasets are designed for a unique camera, we construct a real multi-camera image acquisition system and create a corresponding new dataset, which includes both simulated data and real-world captured images. Experiments confirm the effectiveness of our method when each image corresponds to different camera parameters. Specifically, we use multi-cameras, each with different intrinsic and extrinsic parameters in real-world system, to achieve 3D scene representation without providing initial poses. Object detection and pose estimation are difficult tasks in robotics and autonomous driving. Existing object detection and pose estimation methods mostly adopt the same-dimensional data for training. For example, 2D object detection usually requires a large amount of 2D annotation data with high cost. Using high-dimensional information to supervise lower-dimensional tasks is a feasible way to reduce datasets size. In this work, the DR-WLC, a dimensionality reduction cognitive model, which can perform both object detection and pose estimation tasks at the same time is proposed. The model only requires 3D model of objects and unlabeled environment images (with or without objects) to finish the training. In addition, a bounding boxes generation strategy is also proposed to build the relationship between 3D model and 2D object detection task. Experiments show that our method can qualify the work without any manual annotations and it is easy to deploy for practical applications. Source code is at https: //***/IN2-ViAUn/DR-WLC. Sector Patch Embedding: An Embedding Module Conforming to The Distortion Pattern of Fisheye Image

Fisheye cameras suffer from image distortion while having a large field of view(LFOV). And this fact leads to poor performance on some fisheye vision tasks. One of the solutions is to optimize the current vision algorithm for fisheye images. However, most of the CNN-based methods and the Transformer-based methods lack the capability of leveraging distortion information efficiently. In this work, we propose a novel patch embedding method called Sector Patch Embedding(SPE), conforming to the distortion pattern of the fisheye image. Furthermore, we put forward a synthetic fisheye dataset based on the ImageNet-1K and explore the performance of several Transformer models on the dataset. The classification top-1 accuracy of ViT and PVT is improved by 0.75% and 2.8% with SPE respectively. The experiments show that the proposed sector patch embedding method can better perceive distortion and extract features on the fisheye images.
