Chaotic Brillouin optical correlation domain analysis(BOCDA)has been proposed and experimentally demonstrated with the advantage of high spatial ***,it faces the same issue of the temperature and strain *** this paper,the simultaneous measurement of temperature and strain can be preliminarily achieved by analyzing the two Brillouin frequencies of the chaotic laser in a large-effective-area fiber(LEAF).A temperature resolution of 1℃ and a strain resolution of 20μξ can be obtained with a spatial resolution of *** actual temperature and strain measurement errors are 0.37℃ and 10μξ,respectively,which are within the maximum measurement errors.

In the process of power system restoration after a large power outage, the power support of wind farms is taken into account that it can speed up the restoration of the system. However, the uncertainty of wind farm output also increases the risk of secondary power outages. To solve this problem, this paper adopts the uncertain bi-level programming theory to establish a load recovery optimization model that takes into account the uncertainties of wind power and load, and the model converts it into load power and wind power forecasting errors for processing. Furthermore, the traditional deterministic power grid safe operation constraint is changed to a chance constraint in the form of confidence. In order to meet the requirements of online rapid decision-making, the normal distribution theory is used to transform the uncertainty model into its definite equivalence model, and CPLEX is used to solve it. Finally, an IEEE39-bus system with wind farms is taken as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Urban distribution network planning is an important distribution network planning problem which needs to consider the street layout and block loads. Traditionally, the load within a block area is taken as a single load point. In this paper, a new urban distribution network planning model is proposed. The location and sizing of substations, and the routing and capacity of distribution power lines are simultaneously optimized. The load in a block is distributed to the surrounding segments, and then distributed to the adjacent junctions of the segments. The model belongs to a mixed integer linear programming problem and it can be solved by state-of-art commercial solver. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed model are illustrated by case studies.

With the Internet of Things (IoT) playing an increasingly crucial role in connecting diverse devices, applications have different requirements for communication and various evaluation metrics have emerged, such as Age of Information (AoI) and estimation error. Considering the fundamental trade-off between reliability and latency of the communication system, the relationship among reliability, latency, AoI and estimation error is complex. This paper proposes a remote state observation system with application-layer rateless codes to explore above relationships, addressing how to design the system for optimal performance based on varying requirements by adjusting coding parameters. By emphasizing flexible and adaptable coding strategies, we aim to convey the idea that the error-correction codes can be designed to optimize the communication system for diverse practical metrics. It is different from the traditional designs that focus on approaching the Shannon limit.

Modularization facilitates the adaptability of cyber-physical production systems (CPPSs) with a variety of collaborative tasks. Various production rules can be captured by signal temporal logic (STL) specifications imposed on interconnected multi-agent systems (MASs). In this paper, we focus on the controller synthesis of STL tasks for interconnected MASs to accomplish collaborative tasks in modular CPPSs. Firstly, a class of STL specifications characterizing tasks by the combination of fixed-time reachability and finite-time persistence tasks is proposed, which encompasses a large class of production specifications for the MAS. Secondly, the acyclic decomposition of the global STL formula is constructed to enable conflict-free collaborative tasks and unidirectional couplings between subsystems. By establishing the equivalence between the proposition and the state set of the MAS, necessary and sufficient conditions are respectively proposed for the satisfaction of reachability and persistence tasks. In addition, an algorithm is presented to synthesize controllers for the MAS with the global STL specification based on local controllers of subsystems. An illustrative example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Multi-camera vehicle tracking (MCVT) system is a key technology to build an intelligent city and intelligent transportation system. The MCVT system utilizes roadside monitoring devices and computing platforms to achieve city-level road traffic perception at a finer scale by tracking each vehicle on the road to obtain the trajectory. The existing MCVT system mainly focuses on dealing with the algorithm modules separately, without studying the real-time performance and system architecture of the entire pipeline. However, in real-world applications, many of the tricks in improving evaluation metrics are not applicable since there is endless traffic flow running all the time. Therefore, this paper proposes a real-time framework of the MCVT system to streamline all the algorithm modules with proper data flow. Firstly, a multi-threaded multi-vehicle tracking (MVT) module is developed to detect vehicles in each camera. Re-identification is implemented during MVT to provide the feature for tracking in the same camera and across different cameras. Then, after the vehicle leaves the camera field of view, the feature of vehicle trajectory is calculated by averaging the feature at each frame. Meanwhile, a background thread runs continuously to match the incoming feature of vehicle trajectory with past features by conducting a topology searching method. In the end, the vehicle trajectories with well-matched features are considered to be the same vehicle. The entire pipeline has been validated on two different datasets, the precision is 0.64 in the CityFlow dataset which uses 6 cameras simultaneously. In the customized dataset, the same method can still reach real-time when using 16 cameras at the same time with smaller network modules. © 2024 IEEE.

The increasing penetration of renewable energy sources imposes higher requirement on the operation flexibility of the power system and brings new challenges to the planning problem. In this paper, a transmission & generator expansion planning model considering operation flexibility and N-1 contingency is proposed, in which the flexibility is provided by generators, energy storage, load and wind farms together. N-1 contingency of transmission line is also considered. Then the model is transformed into a mixed integer linear programming model by linearization technique such as big M method. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed model are illustrated on the IEEE RTS system.

Emergency load shedding (ELS) optimization by the meta-heuristic algorithm is confronted with a heavy computing burden as time-domain simulation (TDS) is needed to evaluate individuals. In this paper, an ELS optimization algorithm based on differential evolution driven by deep transfer learning is proposed to decrease TDS times. First, an optimization model of ELS is established in a single scenario based on differential evolution. Then, a Deep Belief Network (DBN) model is deployed to evaluate load shedding schemes to speed up the optimization. Moreover, when scenarios are changed, transfer learning is utilized to update the DBN model, avoiding massive samples regeneration by TDS. Finally, the optimal load shedding scheme is rolling updated following scenarios change. A simplified provincial power grid verifies the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

This paper introduces the theoretical analysis and derivation of localizability estimation for mobile robots based on point cloud observation. Combined with the observation model, the pre-established point cloud map is firstly clustered and segmented with a newly proposed method considering multiple constraints on depth map. Then localizability is set to be equal to the strength of the constraints associated with 3D point cloud features. In addition, based on the method of using information matrix theory, this paper integrates the Fisher's information matrix and point cloud features to estimate localizability. © 2021 IEEE.

Preventing and controlling Low-Slow-Small(LSS) targets are problems to be solved due to their good concealment in urban environment. Consequently, the problem of target assignment is studied in this paper. Firstly, a target assignment model based on heterogeneous sensor networks is proposed. The characteristics of LSS targets and the influence of environmental factors such as climate and terrain are considered on this model. At the same time, the detection capabilities of different detection nodes and collaborative tracking capabilities are also considered. Secondly, an intelligent optimization algorithm GSAPSO based on PSO is proposed to maximize tracking effect of the sensors. Finally, the simulations are used to compare the GSAPSO algorithm with the traditional PSO and GAPSO algorithms. The results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has better tracking effect. © 2020 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.
