This paper aims to address the creation of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) with a focus on Environmental education, specifically on the topic of Spring Conservation and Preservation, exploring pedagogical practices, instructional design strategies, and educational technologies used in the construction of this course, which aims to promote awareness of environmental issues and the adoption of sustainable practices, contributing to the expansion of the field of Environmental education. The MOOC will be offered on the Open Courses Platform of the Federal Institute of Espirito Santo (IFES). The study in question adopts a qualitative approach regarding the nature of the research, configuring itself as an applied research, and concerning its objectives, the study configures itself as an exploratory research. The study highlights the feasibility and positive impact of Massive Open Online Courses in promoting inclusive and globally accessible environmental education.

The present work aims to address the creation of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), on the theme Three Pedagogical Moments with an emphasis on Environmental education. The MOOC will be offered on the Open Courses Platform of the Federal Institute of Espirito Santo (IFES). The study in question starts from a qualitative approach, in terms of the nature of the research, it is configured as applied research and in terms of its objectives, the study is configured as exploratory research. The MOOC “Three Pedagogical Moments from an Environmental education perspective“ addresses knowledge focused on the approach widely used in training spaces, directing its use in the field of Environmental education. With this training process, the aim is to develop in students possibilities for using the approach in their places of activity, whether formal or non-formal educational spaces, viability and positive impact of Open and Massive Online Courses in promoting an education inclusive and globally accessible environment.

Students' low ability in mathematical reasoning is influenced by the learning model applied in the classroom. Such as the use of learning tools with a context that is closer to students' life. The purpose of this research is to produce inquiry-based learning tools with a Malay Rengat context that is valid in improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This development research uses the Plomp model which consists of three phases, namely preliminary research, prototyping, and the assessment phase. The validation of the tools was carried out by three mathematics education experts, one educational technology expert, and one Indonesian language expert. The average scores obtained from the validation are 3.57 for the validity of the lesson plans and 3.55 for the validity of the worksheet. With these results it can be concluded that the development of inquiry-based mathematics learning tools with the Malay Rengat context is valid. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Purpose of this study is to describe the statistical literacy skills of prospective teacher students in terms of Middle Order Thinking Skills (MOTS). Students should have basic statistical competence so that they can respond, understand, analyze, interpret, and make conclusions about various information related to statistics and can give meaning to problems raised through statistical information in various literacy media. The level of MOTS thinking in bloom revision taxonomy includes remembering (C1), applying (C2) and understanding (C3). This research is a qualitative research. The subjects of this study were students of mathematics education study programs who took statistics statistics. Researchers developed a statistical literacy ability test that would measure competencies in terms of the level of thinking of MOTS, namely: understanding statistical concepts, insight into statistical concept applications, numeracy skills and the ability to present statistical data. The test instrument is then given to the research subject and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the statistical literacy ability of students in terms of MOTS showed that 19% in the low category, 28.6% in the Medium category and 52.4% in the high category © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The objective of this study was to determine the effect of metaphorical thinking learning approach on mathematical reasoning and problem solving ability. This research used quasi-experimental method. The population of this study was the third-semester students of mathematics education study program at STKIP PGRI Lubuklinggau. The sample selection was done by using saturated samples. Based on the analysis of the t-test, the results of the study showed that 1) tobtained (2.351) of the ability of mathematical reasoningwas more thanthe ttable(2.06), so H0was rejected and Hawas *** can be concluded that there was significant influence of the metaphorical thinking learning approach on the students'mathematical reasoning ability;and 2) tobtained(2.311) of the problem solving skill was more than the ttable(2.06), so H0was rejected and Hawas accepted. It can be concluded that there was a significant effect of the metaphorical thinking approach on the students'problem solving skill. In short, metaphorical thinking approach has influenced the students' mathematical reasoning and problem solving ability significantly. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The background of this research is due to the limited learning media in the form of 3D animated videos for mathematics subjects. This study aims to develop a valid 3D animated video on the material of the addition and subtraction of integers in elementary schools. The development model used is the DDD-E model. The 3D animated video developed was validated by three validators in term of the content and the media. The average validation value for content validation and media validation are 3.33 and 3.67 respectively. These results indicate that the 3D animated video developed is in very valid criteria. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study aims to describe the mathematical critical thinking skills of class VIII students through the development of Student Worksheets based on the Missouri mathematics Project learning model using Think Talk Write strategies. This research was conducted at junior high school number 11 Lubuklinggau in the Even semester of the 2018/2019 school year with research population were all students of class VIII at junior high school number 11 Lubuklinggau. Data collection technique used was a test technique to measure students' critical thinking skills on the material of Cubes and Cuboid. While the data analysis uses descriptive qualitative analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the average percentage of students' thinking abilities in class VIII was 76.97 and was in the Good category. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

During 2019, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) noted that there had been 3622 disasters in Indonesia, one of which was natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions and cold lava floods. In terms of volcanoes, Indonesia is the most active volcanoes location in the world and it have many tectonic plates that have the potential to cause volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, and earthquakes. Therefore, the Indonesia Government recommends providing education on natural disaster mitigation in schools. The goal of this study was to determine the mathematical reasoning abilities of students and the knowledge and attitudes of students towards mitigating natural disasters. This research is a development research, the development model used in this research is the Plomp model which consists of three phases, namely preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The instruments used during the research were observation sheets, interview guides, questionnaires, validation sheets for learning devices, and tests of students' mathematical reasoning abilities. From this research, it is proven that about 71.4% of MTsN 6 Agam students stated that there has been no learning about natural disaster mitigation. Based on the results of the mathematical reasoning ability test, there was an increase to 72.7% from the initial test result of 25.47%. Natural disaster mitigation knowledge does not have to be provided to students in specific subjects, but can be integrated into existing subjects, one of which is mathematics. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Continuous-time Hybrid Markov/semi-Markov Model with Sojourn Time Approach in the Spread of Infectious Diseases

The semi-Markov model is another name for the continuous-time Markov model. This model exponentially disperses the amount of time spent on each sojourn. This work aims to develop a model of infectious disease transmission using a continuous-time hybrid Markov/semi-Markov model. The model will combine assumptions from the Markov and semi-Markov models. The sojourn time in the semi-Markov model may have an exponential or a Weibull distribution, depending on the circumstances. A hybrid Markov/semi-Markov model can consist of both types of sojourn time distributions. In general, there are two parameterizations in the semi-Markov model: the transition intensity function and the sojourn time distribution, each of which has a different probabilistic and inferential perspective. This paper uses data on COVID-19 cases in DIY, Indonesia, from March 15, 2020, to July 31, 2020. This research uses four states: susceptible, infected, recovered, and deceased, where the sojourn time in the susceptible state is in the Weibull distribution while the sojourn time in other states has an Exponential distribution. This is because, at the beginning of the spread of COVID-19, few cases were found, so the distribution of sojourn time in each state tends to be constant except for the sojourn time in susceptible states. Under the semi-Markov model, the Weibull distribution leads to a dynamic probability with a higher degree of decline and a slight difference. In the final section, a comparison is made of the Markov, semi-Markov, and hybrid Markov/semi-Markov models. The hybrid Markov/semi-Markov model shows the best results with the smallest AIC value. Next, make a prediction equation for the SIRD model assuming a hybrid Markov/semi-Markov, which gives a MAPE © (2023), (International Association of Engineers). All Rights Reserved.

Proportional reasoning is the important process in solving social arithmetic problems. A students' successes in solving mathematical problem is also determined by affective abilities, one of which is a mathematical disposition. This study aims to describe the students' proportional reasoning in solving non-routine problems based on mathematical disposition. This research is a qualitative study by conducting an in-depth analysis of the proportional reasoning ability of students in students with high, medium, and low mathematical dispositions. The research instrument used was a problem solving ability test, a mathematical disposition scale, and an interview guide. The result shows that in solving non-routine problems, students with high mathematical disposition have mathematical reasoning abilities at level five (Functional and Scalar Relationships), students with moderate mathematical disposition at level four (Accomodating Covariance and Invariance), and students with low mathematical disposition at level five one (Qualitative). Thus it can be concluded that the higher the mathematical disposition of students, the proportional reasoning in solving non-routine problems will be better. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
