Digital learning integrated with local wisdom is designed to improve students' physics problem-solving skills and digital literacy. The study aims to analyze the practicality and effectiveness of digital learning integrated with local wisdom designed to improve students' physics problem-solving skills and digital literacy. The research was conducted by applying a pre-experimental design, one group pre-test and post-test for 66 high school students. When the learning process is carried out, observe the practicality of learning. The data collected from the pre-test and post-test were analyzed using paired t-test and n-gain. The results show that digital learning integrated with local wisdom is designed to improve students' physics problem-solving skills and digital literacy. It is proven that: it is practical (applicable) which is indicated by each phase that can be implemented by teachers with good categories;and effective in increasing students' physics problem solving and digital literacy, as indicated by a significant increase in physics problem-solving skills and digital literacy at 5%, and the average n-gain is in the medium category. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Examining equity and graduation rates at two institutions using a course deficit model and the collaborative learning through active sense-making in physics curriculum

We have previously described the reformed introductory physics course, collaborative learning through active sense-making in physics (CLASP), for bioscience students at a large public research one university (Original University) and presented evidence that the course was more successful and more equitable than the course it replaced by several measures. Now we compare the original success of CLASP with an implementation at a second institution. We find that the original results hold at another institution despite some changes to the original curriculum and a somewhat different student population. We find that students who take CLASP are (1) less likely to drop, (2) less likely to fail, and (3) do as well in later coursework when compared to students who took the courses that CLASP replaced, even if that coursework is not similarly reformed. We find the above items to be independently true for historically marginalized students and remarkably, also find that (4) marginalized students who take CLASP are more likely to graduate from a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics field. We use a course deficit model perspective to examine these results and discuss some of the factors that may have contributed to this success. We argue that higher education has the tools needed to significantly increase equity and improve student success and retention.

The global community is continuously working to minimize the impact of disasters through various actions, including earth surveying. For example, flood-prone areas must be identified appropriately, predicted, understood, and socialized. In that case, it will increase the risk of disaster impacts on the affected population in the form of death, property damage, and socio-economic losses. The data mining approach has had a significant influence on research related to flood prediction in recent years, namely its impact on researchers related to forecast, classification, and clustering. Floods can also be predicted using a time series approach used to predict the future, a type of data-driven prediction that has been developed and widely applied and can be applied to predictions related to hydrology. A review to identify, evaluate, and interpret all relevant research results carried out so far for flood prediction and flood prediction with a data mining approach. The review method used in this study is PRISMA as a tool and guide for evaluating systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Some things discussed are types of data, types of floods and their parameters, types of approaches and combinations, and evaluation methods used in related studies. This study found that although the univariate time series approach dominates in related studies, multivariate time series Analysis (53 papers or 48.62%) can also be used to strengthen flood predictions in the long term or short term, t;this is an opportunity for further research. Some research opportunities to be carried out are combining the team series approach and the Estimation or Classification approaches. In contrast, the optimization approach is 11% of the total study. This is the next research opportunity. The type of flood chosen is also an opportunity for research to find a research gap;the less response on a kind of flood, the easier the study will be. In the last 100 years, river water pollution has continued to increase along with industrial, agricultural, and human population developments. Various attempts are being carried out continuously to characterize river water quality. The status of water quality needs to be determined as an effort to monitor water systems for clean water need and the biota life need. The purpose of this study was to examine the water quality status of the Bekasi River based on physics parameters (Temperature, Turbidity, TDS, Salinity, and Electrical Conductivity) and Chemistry parameters (pH, COD, content of Iron, Nitrite, Zinc, Chromium, and Copper), as an effort to river water pollution monitoring. Parameter measurements were carried out from August to September 2022 at six observation locations along the Bekasi River. The procedure for collecting samples refers to SNI 03-7016-2004. The data obtained were then compared with water quality standards based on applicable government regulations and analyzed using the STORET method. The index calculation results show that the six locations are lightly polluted, with a negative score of -8. Based on these results, the waters of the Bekasi River in the October-September period belong to class B with the "Good"category. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This research aims to develop VCD media on character-based innovative learning models. The type of this research is the study of R & D with Four-D). The analysis of the data used to develop the models of learning and development within the VCD pieces is using the sheet media expert assessment and experts' and students' responses. Based on the evaluation through questionnaires by material experts showed 87.0% for character-based PBL Learning plan and got 85.9% for Cooperative Learning Model type TS-TS, both including its category Neither instrument of Lesson Plan. Results of the validation study model VCD by a media expert with the details of the quantitative results are obtained to have an average percentage of 84.70% for VCD character-based PBL learning model and 88.2% for the type of cooperative learning model TS-TS. From these results, it can be concluded that the media VCD learning model being developed has fulfilled the good criterion. Meanwhile, based on student questionnaires obtained quantitative data has a percentage of 80.60% for VCD on character-based PBL learning model and 84.7% for the type of cooperative learning model TS-TS. Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed media is already categorized to be good. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The purpose of this research is to produce electrical energy conversion tool as a learning medium. This research process is a research and development research which is commonly referred to as R&D. Sugiyono modified this research model. The instrument used was a questionnaire with a Likert scale which were assessed by media experts, material experts, physics teachers and students of Grade XI IPA Senior High School Lab school, Untad, Palu. The product quality data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The product quality based on the results of the analysis of the media expert's assessment obtained a percentage value of 84% with the interpretation of "Very Good". The product quality, based on the results of the assessment analysis by material experts, obtained a percentage value of 85% with the interpretation "Very Good". For the results of the physics teacher responses on the perspective of the learning media developed, it obtained a percentage value of 92.2% with the interpretation "Strongly Agree". For the results of the students' responses in Grade XI Science Senior High School Lab school, Untad, Palu, on the limited test, the percentage value obtained was 85.95% which had the interpretation of, "Strongly Agree"regarding the use of the learning media. The results of the tests and questionnaire analysis indicated that the electric energy conversion tool as a learning medium developed is suitable for use in the learning process. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study aims to describe the validity of the electronic module on the elasticity of solids topic through the cooperative learning model to improve students' learning outcomes and motivation. This research is a research and development with the ADDIE development model. This electronic module was assessed by using the electronic module's validation sheet. The validators of this e-module consisted of two academics and one practitioner. Based on the validation results, it was obtained that the validity of the electronic module was 3.49 with a valid category. It shows that the electronic module on the elasticity of solids topic through cooperative learning models can be used in the classroom learning process to improve student's learning outcomes and motivation. © 2021 Institute of physics Publishing. The use of technology to scientific reasoning in science education: A bibliometric and content analysis of research papers

The results of several empirical findings show that the use of technology in science learning has a very positive influence on the development of students' scientific reasoning and is worthy of further development. This study aims to evaluate and map the use of technology in learning scientific reasoning in the context of science education through bibliometric of 119 articles and content analysis of 17 articles published from 2012 to 2024. The findings reveal fluctuations in research productivity, with a peak in 2022 driven by increased reliance on technology following the COVID-19 pandemic. The United States dominates contributions to this field, accounting for nearly half of the total publications, while emerging nations like Indonesia demonstrate significant potential for growth. Co-occurrence analysis identifies five thematic clusters, highlighting cognitive skills, curriculum design, and emerging tools such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and game-based learning. Content analysis shows that quantitative methods, particularly true-experimental designs, are the most common, with secondary school students (47 %) as the primary sample group. Achievement tests are the predominant data collection method, often complemented by observations and surveys for comprehensive insights. The focus on physics as the most studied subject (35 %) underscores its versatility, while multidisciplinary studies reveal a growing interest in sustainability, robotics, and artificial intelligence. The implication of the findings of this research is that future researchers are expected to be able to discover new areas and develop new technologies that are appropriate in science learning to improve scientific reasoning. © 2025

The purpose of this research is to develop interactive multimedia web-based material of elasticity and Hooke's law in senior high school. This research is a type of research development (Research & Development). The concept used is the Analysis development, Design, Development, Implement and Evaluation (ADDIE). This research is limited to the development stage, namely expert validation. The results of the media expert validation show that the developed web-based interactive multimedia is valid in the display aspect, very valid in the programming aspect, very valid in the usefulness aspect and valid in the language aspect. The results of the material expert validation show that the developed web-based interactive multimedia is valid in the display aspect, valid in the quality aspect of teaching material, valid in the aspect of content, very valid in the aspect of usefulness and valid in the aspect of language. Web-based interactive multimedia is suitable for senior high school physics learning. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

BaCO3 with natural iron sand is the basic material for making samples of Barium M-Hexaferrite (BaM) which is doped to make the utilization of BaM more effective by adding metal ions that have almost the same size as cobalt (Co), copper (Cu), and Zinc (Zn) and using the coprecipitation method. The process of making Barium M-hexaferrite is carried out in the advanced and basic chemistry laboratory, FMIPA University of Mataram. In this study, variations in concentration and temperature variations during the calcination process were used, namely (x = 0.0;0.4;0.8;1.0) (T = 200;600;and 1000 °C). These variations greatly affect the sample, where the greater the concentration and temperature of calcination, the color produced in the sample will be darker and this is by the purpose of the calcination process carried out, namely the greater the temperature at the time of calcination, the more water content in the sample will be. reduced because the solvent in the sample evaporation occurs. In addition to these materials, the solvent used also plays an important role in the sample-making process, namely using HCl37% to dissolve, NH4OH 65% so that the deposition process is faster and aquades as a neutralizer. © 2022 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
