This research is a development research that aims to test the effectiveness of the inquiry model-based core physics learning device with the help of PhET virtual media in improving students' conceptual understanding. The device was developed using a 4D model which includes define, design, develop and disseminate. The sample of this study was all undergraduate students who took core physics courses which consisted of two classes, namely class A (experimental class) and class B (control class) which amounted to 50 people. The results of the pre-test and post-test were analyzed using the t-test at a significance level of 5%, while the increase in understanding of the concept used the N-gaint test. The results of the t-test show that the t-count value is greater than the t-table. This means that core physics learning tools using an inquiry model with the help of PhET virtual media affect students' understanding of concepts. Analysis of increasing understanding of the concept of d using the N-gain test. The N-gain analysis shows that students' understanding of concepts has increased the use of these devices in the high category. This means that students' understanding of concepts is effectively improved using an inquiry model with the help of PhET virtual media. © 2022 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Teenagers tend to find difficulties in filtering hoax due to a lack of literacy skills. They view that learning history through a book is boring. Instead, teenagers prefer to read information online. This study aims to improve history literacy among adolescences in order to prevent the spread out of hoax through KCBS (Kumpulan Buku Cerita Sejarah/the collection of historical narratives). The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The result of this study is improved history literacy of the adolescences which enabling them to filter information gathered from blogs and websites as well as the use of Facebook as a source of information and the development of positive characters. One of many ways to improve history literacy is through literacy movement in which students are imperatively encouraged to read history books that are followed by summarizing a certain topic into the KCBS (Kumpulan Cerita Buku Sejarah). Rewriting historical narratives is hoped to improve the students' literacy skills so that in the near future they will understand the danger of spreading out a hoax and will better respond to prevent the widespread. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The purpose of this study was to develop interactive learning multimedia using the drill & practice model on the scientific literacy of junior high school students which had validity, practicality, and potential impact. This study used Frey and Sutton's development research model which combined formative evaluation from Tessmer. This study was tested on junior high school students. Data were obtained from interviews, documentation, walkthrough, questionnaires, and tests. Based on the expert reviews, this interactive learning multimedia was declared very valid with an average score of 0.99 (the maximum score is 1). In the one-to-one evaluation, it was declared very practical with an average score of 0.83 (the maximum score is 1). In the small group evaluation, it was declared very practical with an average score of 3.34 (the maximum score is 4). In the field test, the average classical test result was 62.18 with a good category. From the research data, it can be concluded that interactive learning multimedia using the drill & practice model on the scientific literacy of junior high school students was feasible to use in learning. The research results imply that students can understand science with the help of interactive multimedia learning which can have an impact on students' scientific literacy. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Length expansion is an increase in the length of an object due to receiving heat. If a solid object is heated then the object will expand in all directions, in other words the length increases the length of an object because it receives heat. A tool for comparing the length expansion of various metals is the Musschenbrock. To measure the temperature of an object can use a sensor. The sensor used in this research is the LM 35 based on Arduino Uno. The development method for this Length expansion tool temperature detector starts from tool design, hardware design, software design, tool calibration and tool testing. From the results of research using an Arduino Uno-based temperature detector, it can be said that this research was successful because the values obtained were almost the same as the existing theory. So, this detector is suitable for use in laboratories or schools as a learning medium to determine the length expansion of metals. © 2022 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

A thermoelectric generator or also known as a Seebeck generator is an electrical generator device that converts temperature differences into electrical energy using a phenomenon called the Seebeck effect. To find out the magnitude of the voltage generated by the thermoelectric, a series of tests on the thermoelectric must be carried out where one of the test methods is to provide a significant temperature difference on both sides of the thermoelectric generator using hot water media for the hot side and using ice cubes for the cold side. The test results show that the developed thermoelectric generator can generate an electric voltage of 1189.31 mV. © 2022 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

Development of an accelerator-based light source for generating coherent terahertz (THz) and mid-infrared (MIR) free-electron laser (FEL) is ongoing at the PBP-CMU Electron Linac Laboratory (PCELL). For producing high quality radiation, suitable electron beam property is necessary. In particle accelerator technology, transverse beam distribution and profile can be measured by using several techniques. The beam monitoring using view screen station is one of popular and effective methods. At PCELL, we use stations consisting of phosphor screen equipped with CCD camera to monitor, measure and record the beam image along the accelerator system and beamlines. The phosphor screen was chosen due to its high spatial resolution. The phosphor film is uniformly coated on a thin aluminium plate. Its green emission when electrons hitting the screen is matched well with the respond of the CCD camera. The screen can be moved in and out from the vacuum chamber using the air pressurized linear actuator. This paper presents about design, construction and tests of the screen stations at PCELL. The resolution of measurements for beam transverse profile and emittance is also be discussed. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This research form to preposition examines the effect of the reciprocal teachinglearning model on the mastery of physics concepts and the creativity of students. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The independent variable of this study is the reciprocal teaching-learning model, while the dependent variable is mastery of physics concepts and creativity. The research population was all students of XI MIA MAN 2 Mataram. The sampling technique of this research uses purposive sampling so that there are two classes is XI MIA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIA 2 as the control class. The experimental class was given treatment using the reciprocal teaching-learning model and the control class was given treatment in the form of a conventional learning model. The instrument used to measure students 'mastery of physics concepts was 10 multiple choice questions, while the instrument used to measure students' creativity was in the form of 5 items in the description. Hypothesis testing of this research is MANOVA. The result of the MANOVA test shows a significant 0,00 so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of the study using reciprocal teaching-learning models showed that the value of mastery of students' physical concepts increased from 37.67 to 83.67 and the creativity of learners increased from 38.83 to 63.83. © 2022 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

This study aimed to describe the types of misconceptions conducted by preservice elementary teachers (PGSD) students in integer operations. Misconceptions are classified into 3 types: 1) Careless Errors (Ca);2) Concept errors (Co);3) Careless errors and Concept errors (Ca and Co). The researcher presented 6 problems about of integer operation to 45 students of PGSD (preservice teachers for elementary school) students that were taking elementary mathematics subject. The results showed that 10% of students made Careless errors (Ca) misconceptions in integer addition and subtraction. The highest portion of the students, 53% performed Concept error (Co) in subtracting negative numbers. Another 9% showed Careless and Concept error (Ca and Co) misconception in subtraction of integers of the same sign (negative with negative or positive with positive). © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Questioning is an important skill for students which reflects their critical thinking skills. It is also an indicator of creative thinking and even metacognition abilities. This study used Bloom's Taxonomy to analyze students' questioning skills. The purpose of this study was to look at the level of student questioning skills based on Bloom's Taxonomy criteria. The number of questions classified in the factual category was 50% of the 114 questions made. Questions included in the conceptual category were 35%, the procedural category was 5%, while questions included in the metacognitive category were 10%. The conclusions are: (1) The quality of questions made by PGSD students is mostly in the factual cognitive category that requires answers with a low cognitive level;(2) Most questions are at the cognitive level of analyzing;(3) the ability of the research subject in converting information to questions is still at the basic level and the initial skills of HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills). © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of predict observe explain (POE) learning methods and time token Arends on the ability to understand concepts of elementary school students in social studies subjects. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study were 40 students of class IV SDN 4 Cakranegara. Simple random sampling technique was used to determine the treatment class. Class IVa was treated with the time token Arends method and class IVb was treated with the predict observe explain (POE) method. The students were tested with 10 pretest questions and 10 posttest questions. Data analysis was performed using the normality test, homogeneity test, normalized gain, paired t-test, independent t-test, and the MANOVA test. The significance level used is 0.05. The results showed that the use of the POE method and time token Arends is not effective in increasing the concept understanding for grade IV students of SDN 4 Cakaranegara in social studies subjects. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
