This paper presents an experimental analysis of a stepped-frequency continuous wave (SFCW) software-defined radar (SDR) system. The system utilizes a USRP N210 with WBX daughterboard, a standard gain horn antenna, a waveguide antenna, and a personal computer. Operating with a bandwidth of 560 MHz, a frequency step size of 20 MHz, and 28 steps, the system's performance is evaluated through range profile analysis. Experimental trials involve transmitting SFCW signals and collecting corresponding echoes for target responses at distances of 0.7 meters, 0.9 meters, and 1.25 meters. The analysis of the range profile reveals distinct target signatures, demonstrating the system's effectiveness for target detection at varying distances.

Increasing energy demands and the need for efficient management necessitate innovative solutions. This study introduces an integrated Demand Side Management (DSM) framework tailored for residential buildings within smart grid systems. The proposed methodology employs Earth Worm Optimization Algorithm (EWOA) and Virulence Optimization Algorithm (VOA) to optimize scheduling for household appliance using integration of Renewable Energy Storage (RES) and Renewable Energy Resources (RERs). Real-Time Electricity Scheduling (RTES) is implemented using IoT technologies to enable adaptive energy management. This system demonstrates significant performance improvements, achieving a 76.19% reduction in the Peak-to-Average Ratio (PAR) using VOA and a 73.8% reduction with EWOA when RES is included. Comparative analyses highlight substantial cost reductions, enhanced grid stability, and improved energy efficiency. This work not only showcases the novelty of integrating advanced optimization algorithms with IoT but also provides a robust approach to achieve sustainable and cost-effective energy management.

To address these challenges, we are developing an enclosed, automated system with a robotic fluid handling system and 60 independent bioreactors. Aiming for clinical applications, the system is required to maintain tight environmental control for optimal cell culture conditions.
