This article presents the development of electric motor torque meter using microcontroller together with dynamometer process and application of light process to find out revolutions per minute (RPM) which torque is a variable that affects the effectiveness of electrical machine. A torque meter is, therefore, a tool that has an important role to work with mechanical part. The torque meter and RPM was tested and found that there is an error of torque measure at 13.74 percent and found that the torque has higher errors when it exceeds 2 N-m and there is an error of RPM at 5.36 percent. © 2024 IEEE.

The electrification of offshore oil and gas platforms (OOGPs), using offshore wind turbines, is now a reality, aimed at minimizing carbon emissions. In this scenario, the utilization of battery energy storage systems (BESS) improves both efficiency and power quality. As this integration comes with a high CAPEX, industries demand exploring BESS for multiple ancillary services on OOGPs. Thus, this paper proposes an alternative approach to energizing a power transformer (PT) using the BESS power conversion system (PCS) on the platform, aiming to minimize inrush currents. This avoids the necessity for additional bulky devices, converters, or dc voltage sources specifically designated for this purpose. The strategy consists of manipulating residual core flux using BESS PCS followed by a controlled switching, which reduces inrush currents during PT energization. The results show effective reduction of the inrush current from 2.31 pu to 0.16 pu for the presented case study. © 2024 IEEE.

The article discusses the use of discrete wavelet transform in diagnosing power oil-filled transformers using automated acoustic monitoring tools. The article is based on the results of experiments using a simulator with an expanded set of defects. Comparison of acoustic signals on a power transformer with signals from a defect simulator made it possible to formulate a criterion for the presence of an insulation defect. An experimental test of the proposed criterion was carried out on signals of various powers and using electrodes of various shapes. The paper presents expressions that implement the criterion for recognizing the type and degree of development of an insulation defect in power transformers. Examples of processing acoustic signals using wavelet transformation in the MatLab program are given. For each type of signals considered, numerical values of the defect recognition criterion are given. At the end of the article, conclusions and prospects for further development of the proposed approach are formulated. © 2024 IEEE.

Research on Attack Detection Method for V2V System Based on Multi-dimensional Taylor Series Expansion Framework

Strongly stealthy cyber-attacks in networked vehicle queue (V2V) network environments often manifest themselves as small changes to data, which makes it difficult for existing methods to effectively detect such attacks. Although the initial impact of these attacks is minimal, they are capable of significantly disrupting the system over time. To address this issue, this paper proposes a new data representation model for attack detection, aiming to overcome the limitations of existing detection methods. For subtle and persistent attack features, we present a multi-level data representation framework, which enables effective comparison of attack features at different scales by extracting features at various levels. Through hierarchical processing of features, these subtle changes are revealed at the micro level, thereby enhancing the system’s sensitivity to stealthy attacks. The experimental results show that the method in this paper can effectively detect the covert false data injection (FDI) attacks. Meanwhile, we compared the proposed method with the most recent competing methods, and the results demonstrated that our method has higher detection accuracy and stronger robustness compared with the existing methods (Figure presented). © 2001-2012 IEEE.

Owing to the greater integration capability, flexible multilayer foil (FMLF) technique has a great potential to promote the evolution of passive integration techniques. To understand the mechanism of this technique is essential for its applications and popularization. To this end, this paper reveals the fundamentals and terminal configuration principles to realize various functional electromagnetic integration units with FMLF technique. A regular FMLF winding is taken as the research object, from theoretical analyses on the associated distributed electromagnetic component (DEMC) circuits, the lumped electromagnetic component (LEMC) circuits with different terminal configuration modes are derived. Moreover, A FMLF winding prototype is built for experimental verifications. The LEMC circuits are demonstrated through the comparative analyses between practically measured and LTspice based simulated impedances or port characteristics. © 2021 IEEE.

Data-driven output regulation control for constrained linear systems

This study introduces a data-driven approach for state and output feedback control addressing the constrained output regulation problem in unknown linear discrete-time systems. Our method ensures effective tracking performance while satisfying the state and input constraints, even when system matrices are not available. We first establish a sufficient condition necessary for the existence of a solution pair to the regulator equation and propose a data-based approach to obtain the feedforward and feedback control gains for state feedback control using linear programming. Furthermore, we design a refined Luenberger observer to accurately estimate the system state, while keeping the estimation error within a predefined set. By combining output regulation theory, we develop an output feedback control strategy. The stability of the closed-loop system is rigorously proved to be asymptotically stable by further leveraging the concept of λ-contractive sets.

A Feature Weighted Mixed Naive Bayes Model for Monitoring Anomalies in the Fan System of a Thermal Power Plant

With the increasing intelligence and integration,a great number of two-valued variables(generally stored in the form of 0 or 1)often exist in large-scale industrial ***,these variables cannot be effectively handled by traditional monitoring methods such as linear discriminant analysis(LDA),principal component analysis(PCA)and partial least square(PLS)***,a mixed hidden naive Bayesian model(MHNBM)is developed for the first time to utilize both two-valued and continuous variables for abnormality *** the MHNBM is effective,it still has some shortcomings that need to be *** the MHNBM,the variables with greater correlation to other variables have greater weights,which can not guarantee greater weights are assigned to the more discriminating *** addition,the conditional P(x j|x j′,y=k)probability must be computed based on historical *** the training data is scarce,the conditional probability between continuous variables tends to be uniformly distributed,which affects the performance of *** a novel feature weighted mixed naive Bayes model(FWMNBM)is developed to overcome the above *** the FWMNBM,the variables that are more correlated to the class have greater weights,which makes the more discriminating variables contribute more to the *** the same time,FWMNBM does not have to calculate the conditional probability between variables,thus it is less restricted by the number of training data *** with the MHNBM,the FWMNBM has better performance,and its effectiveness is validated through numerical cases of a simulation example and a practical case of the Zhoushan thermal power plant(ZTPP),China.

Sliding mode active disturbance rejection control for uncalibrated visual servoing

A sliding mode control algorithm based on a linear extended state observer is proposed to address the multi-source uncertainty of uncalibrated visual servoing in robotic arms. Uncertainty, nonlinearity, coupling, external disturbances, etc. are considered as total disturbances. The linear expansion state observer is designed to observe the total disturbance and compensate for it. This enhances the system’s anti-interference ability. The outer loop adopts sliding mode control law as state feedback. It suppresses the observation errors of the observer and ensures the stability of the system. Sliding mode control based on linear extended observer does not depend on specific tasks and system configurations. It provides a unified design framework for solving the problem of uncalibrated visual servoing. Through numerical simulations of three different disturbance cases, it was compared with PI linear extended state observer and linear active disturbance rejection to verify its good dynamic performance and disturbance rejection performance. Rolling Bearing Fault Diagnosis Based on MTF Encoding and CBAM-LCNN Mechanism

To address the issues of slow diagnostic speed,low accuracy,and poor generalization performance in traditional rolling bearing fault diagnosis methods,we propose a rolling bearing fault diagnosis method based on Markov Transition Field(MTF)image encoding combined with a lightweight convolutional neural network that integrates a Convolutional Block Attention Module(CBAM-LCNN).Specifically,we first use the Markov Transition Field to convert the original one-dimensional vibration signals of rolling bearings into two-dimensional ***,we construct a lightweight convolutional neural network incorporating the convolutional attention module(CBAM-LCNN).Finally,the two-dimensional images obtained from MTF mapping are fed into the CBAM-LCNN network for image feature extraction and fault *** validate the effectiveness of the proposed method on the bearing fault datasets from Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology’s multi-stage centrifugal fan and Case Western Reserve *** results show that,compared to other advanced baseline methods,the proposed rolling bearing fault diagnosis method offers faster diagnostic speed and higher diagnostic *** addition,we conducted experiments on the Xi’an Jiaotong University rolling bearing dataset,achieving excellent results in bearing fault *** results validate the strong generalization performance of the proposed *** method presented in this paper not only effectively diagnoses faults in rolling bearings but also serves as a reference for fault diagnosis in other equipment.
