This paper presents a design method of nonlinear disturbance observer based control(NLDOBC) for a class of nonlinear systems with the disturbance modeled by the nonlinear exosystem. First, the virtual disturbance measurement output is defined. Then, a NLDOBC scheme is constructed to estimate and compensate the modeled disturbance. Subsequently, an linear matrix inequality(LMI)-based design method of NLDOBC is developed such that the augmented system is exponentially stable and then the original closed-loop system is exponentially stable in the presence of the modeled disturbance. Finally, some simulation results are given to show its effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper addresses the disturbance rejection problem for a class of linear systems in the presence of input delay via DOBC approach. Truncated predictor feedback method is applied to deal with the input delay based on the estimate of state and external disturbance, and further endeavours are made to ensure the extra integral terms of the system state and external disturbance due to the input delay are properly considered using Krasovskii functionals. With the tool of Lyapunov functions,the stability of the closed-loop system is proved under sufficient conditions. A simulation study is given to validate the proposed control design.

Due to the uncertainty of power load demand and the stochastic power generation from renewable energy, frequency fluctuation becomes a major concern of power system, especially for a microgrid. In this paper, an improved proportional-integral (PI) controller based on the neural adaptive control method is proposed to deal with the load frequency control (LFC) problem in a microgrid with wind power. The designed neural adaptive control auxiliary controller is used to provide the adaptive supplement control signal to PI controller in a real-time manner. Simulation studies on a benchmark microgrid system are carried out between the proposed compound controller and traditional PI controller. The simulation results demonstrate the proposed method has a superior performance for stabilizing the frequency over the traditional PI control under disturbances from the load change and wind power.

This paper proposed an arctangent function based integral augmented nonlinear differentiator (IAND) for obtaining of the noise-less derivative signal from a noisy measurement signal. The basic idea of proposed IAND with high noise-attenuation effect is to establish the differentiator by expanding the signal dynamics with extra state variable representing the integrated noisy measurement, then with the integral of measurement as input, the IAND is formulated to achieve better noise suppression ability without appreciable delay. Moreover, the convergence characteristic and anti-noise property in the frequency domain are analyzed via singular perturbation theory and describing function method, respectively. The simulation comparison results with other differentiators show the superiority of IAND in noise suppression.
