The establishment of more close to the actual model is helpful to quickly implement energy saving and emission-reduction. The day-ahead multi-objective optimal dispatching model containing thermal power, hydro power, wind-power and pumped storage units is given to minimize the total costs and CO2 emission under multiple constraints. Considered the longer startup-shutdown period of thermal power units, the unit commitment of thermal units is predetermined according to the minimal operation costs. the improved hybrid particle swarm optimization algorithm are used to solved the model for the minimal total costs and carbon emission, the unit commitment of pumped storage and the power generation of thermal power, hydro power, wind-power and pumped storage units are obtained. The verification is performed through modified IEEE 118 node test system, and the optimized results that whether or not containing pumped storage units are compared and analyzed, the applicability of the proposed model and algorithm to solving large-scale multi-objective unit commitment is verified. It could effectively improve economic benefit and environmental protection of power system.

The dual active bridge (DAB) topology has been widely used in the industrial field, especially when bidirectional power transfer is required. However, the efficiency improvement of DAB converters is facing challenges and it is worthwhile devoting much effort to it. This paper presents a novel model based on the triple phase shift (TPS) modulation scheme to improve the efficiency of the dual active bridge (DAB) converter. According to the documentary proposed analytic expressions of six different modes of DAB converters, the constraints of zero voltage switching (ZVS) is achieved to further improve the efficiency of DAB converters. It is theoretically verified that almost full ZVS operation range for all the switching devices and quasi-minimum RMS value of the inductor current can be achieved for two operating modes. Finally, the simulating results from MATLAB/Simulink and the experimental results based on a hardware prototype were presented. By comparing the efficiency of the proposed all-ZVS operation and SPS operation, it can be concluded that the experimental results confirm that the novel proposed all-ZVS strategy can decrease the switching loss and increase the efficiency of the DAB converter simultaneously, which verifies the theoretic analysis.

Numerical simulations for relatively thick airfoils are carried out in the present studies. An attempt to improve the accuracy of the numerical predictions is done by adjusting the turbulent viscosity of the eddy-viscosity Menter Shear-Stress-Transport (SST) model. The modification involves the addition of a damping factor on the wall-bounded flows incorporating the ratio of the turbulent kinetic energy to its specific dissipation rate for separation detection. The results are compared with available experimental data and CFD simulations using the original Menter SST model. The present model improves the lift polar prediction even though the stall angle is still overestimated. The improvement is caused by the better prediction of separated flow under a strong adverse pressure gradient. The results show that the Reynolds stresses are damped near the wall causing variation of the logarithmic velocity profiles.

Air pollution is a growing problem arising from various activities and events. Monitoring and prediction of air pollution index remains an important public health concern. In this paper, FCM-HMM Multi-model is proposed to model the air pollution atmosphere system. First, FCM-HMM clustering is developed to mine the inherent states behind the meteorological observation sequence. Second, TS fuzzy inference multi-model is constructed for each state to predict the air pollution index. The experiment results proved the feasibility of the model on air pollution data in Beijing.

This paper addresses the experimental study on mapping multiple odor sources using the proposed algorithm based on Dempster-Shafer (D-S) theory in outdoor environments where the airflow almost always be strong and change with time both in direction and speed. In the proposed algorithm, by using the time series of the measurements from an anemometer and twelve gas sensors, the robot estimates the air-mass path to compute the belief mass function, and iteratively updates a grid map with D-S inference at each time step, mapping the distribution of two odor sources when the robot is cruising in the given search area. Here the air-mass path is defined as the historical trajectory most likely taken by the air mass contacting with the gas sensor mounted on the mobile robot, and an air mass might contain odor molecules, or just be a mass of clean air. In the grid map, each cell has two possible states, being occupied by an odor source, or not. In order to cut the calculation of the proposed algorithm, only the cells covered by the estimated air-mass path are updated. Experiments were carried out in outdoor nature environments, and the results illustrate that the proposed algorithm based on D-S theory can be applied to map multiple odor sources online.

It is well known that in the case of the wastewater treatment bioprocesses, including anaerobic digestion process, usually, the complete knowledge of inputs is not available and therefore the implementation of the control laws becomes a difficult problem. Therefore, in the sequel, for the above mentioned process two observer structures, able to estimate the unknown concentration of the input will be presented and analyzed. The paper deals with a comparative analysis of two types of observers: a stochastic one - Extended Kalman Filter and a deterministic one - Sliding Mode Observer. The estimation methods are analyzed in realistic frame taking into consideration the presence of the measurement noise but especially the usual variations in the case of an anaerobic digestion process, such as the variation of the maximum growth rate of the microorganisms. The effectiveness of the proposed observers has been validated by numerical simulations.

To explore the relationship between the plant electrical signal and light intensity under the controlled environment has great significance for the automation development of modern agriculture. The research sets six different LED light conditions to cultivate with swallow palm and anthurium in the plant growth cabinet. And using STFT transformation to analyze the plant electrical signal which collected by plant electrical signal acquisition system. The result shows that under the situation of other environment factors are constant, only changing the light condition, the electrical signal amplitude of swallow palm is 1400μV in light intensity of 12503 ～ 17230, and the electrical signal amplitude of anthurium is 944μV in light intensity of 17230～22307Lux. The result shows that the plant electrical signal would change with the change of light intensity, every kind of plant will obtain the biggest photosynthesis when in the most suitable light condition, at the same time, the electrical signal achieve the peak value.

Experience replay is a promising approach to improve the learning efficiency of adaptive dynamic programming. A general model-free adaptive dynamic programming (ADP) approach with the experience replay technology is investigated in this paper to solve the optimal control problems in continuous state and action spaces. Both the critic network and action network are modeled with a feedforward neural network with one hidden layer. During the learning process, a number of recently observed data samples are recorded in a database. When updating the parameters of the neural networks, the data in the sample database are repeatedly used to update the weights of the action network and the critic network. Implementation details of the algorithm are given, and simulation experiments are utilized to verify the learning efficiency of the proposed approach.
