Here we report a controllable four DNA sub-tiles, self-assembling into 4-arm DNA tiles, under control of a DNA strand displacement based on DNA sequential circuit. The motif is encoded, compiled and simulated successively in Visual DSD software. The simulation results show that the four kinds of sub-tiles in the motif combine to their neighbors one after another with a certain time delay and finally form into 4-arm DNA tiles. The formation of the 4th arm of a 4-arm DNA tile indicates that all the 4-arm DNA tiles have been assembled, which implies high productivity of the 4-arm DNA tiles. We also analyze the time responses of the DNA sequence circuit by adjusting the concentration proportions of reactants and/or ordering bind and unbind rates of toeholds in simulation. These simulation results demonstrate that high concentration proportions of reactants and/or toeholds reacting at ascending order rates can shorten the time response more sharply than that low concentration proportion of reactants and/or in a descending order. The motif furthers the integration for DNA sub-tile self-assembly and DNA strand displacement. Copyright © 2015 American Scientific Publishers.

Considering the traditional integration regulator was likely to produce amplitude and phase errors for AC input signal, this paper proposes an improved induction motor rotor flux observation method based on PR regulator. In the control loop of speed and current, PR controller is used instead of PI regulator. This method decreases steady-state errors of the Integration of rotor EMF, has preferably observe precision of rotor flux and speed of motor, reduce the degree of flux aberration and improve the run characteristic. A great lot of analysis, simulations and experiments have verified the method's feasibility and advantage.

PID control is widely used in fields of power electronics and electric drives because of its simple algorithm, robustness and high reliability. Due to nonlinearity and time variant of industrial process, traditional PID controller cannot reach high performance. In three-level active neutral point clamped inverter, self-regulation of controller parameters by using fuzzy logic reasoning can decrease effects of variation in load on output characteristics, and using PWM method 1 and method 2 alternately under different conditions can balance losses of power devices to some extent. In this paper, the principle of fuzzy PID control is introduced, and a fuzzy PID controller for three-level active neutral point clamped inverter is designed. A loss balancing modulation method is adopted. The obtained results demonstrate that fuzzy PID control strategy improves dynamic performance of inverter system, compared to traditional PID control.

This paper proposes a distributed consensus observers(DCOs) based H control method for a class of linear time-invariant(LTI) continuous systems with sensor and actuator networks(SANs),whose topology is represented by a directed *** is assumed that each actuator node in the SAN can transmit its control input signal to all sensor *** to the topology of the SAN,a set of DCOs of the sensor nodes and a set of DCOs-based controllers of the actuator nodes are given respectively to facilitate that the proposed method is able to estimate and control the system in a fully distributed ***,a DCOs-based H control design method is proposed in terms of bilinear matrix inequality(BMI) to guarantee the exponential stability of the closed-loop system in the absence of external disturbances while satisfying a prescribed H performance of disturbance attenuation in the presence of external ***,a two-stage design procedure is presented to solve the BMI feasibility ***,a numerical simulation study is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed design method.

Background: Experimental and epidemiological studies indicate an association between exposure to particulate matter (PM) air pollution and increased risk of type 2 diabetes. In view of the high and increasing prevalence of diabetes, we aimed to quantify the burden of type 2 diabetes attributable to PM_2·5 originating from ambient and household air pollution. Methods: We systematically compiled all relevant cohort and case-control studies assessing the effect of exposure to household and ambient fine particulate matter (PM_2·5) air pollution on type 2 diabetes incidence and mortality. We derived an exposure–response curve from the extracted relative risk estimates using the MR-BRT (meta-regression—Bayesian, regularised, trimmed) tool. The estimated curve was linked to ambient and household PM_2·5 exposures from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2019, and estimates of the attributable burden (population attributable fractions and rates per 100 000 population of deaths and disability-adjusted life-years) for 204 countries from 1990 to 2019 were calculated. We also assessed the role of changes in exposure, population size, age, and type 2 diabetes incidence in the observed trend in PM_2·5-attributable type 2 diabetes burden. All estimates are presented with 95% uncertainty intervals. Findings: In 2019, approximately a fifth of the global burden of type 2 diabetes was attributable to PM_2·5 exposure, with an estimated 3·78 (95% uncertainty interval 2·68–4·83) deaths per 100 000 population and 167 (117–223) disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) per 100 000 population. Approximately 13·4% (9·49–17·5) of deaths and 13·6% (9·73–17·9) of DALYs due to type 2 diabetes were contributed by ambient PM2·5, and 6·50% (4·22–9·53) of deaths and 5·92% (3·81–8·64) of DALYs by household air pollution. This paper deals with the computation of ground resistance, surface voltage, touch voltage and step voltage, to mesh with horizontal wires arranged in different angles. The computer program implemented used in the mathematical modeling is based on the method proposed by Heppe, which allows obtaining the grounding parameters for homogeneous soil and soil stratified in two layers. Furthermore, the results obtained by the Variable Currents Method (VCM) have been compared to traditional methods and the simplified method of ANSI-IEEE Std. 80/2013. They also present the results using a grounding grid with wires on various angles.

In this paper is proposed a method to improve the tracking performance of repetitive controllers in Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). The main idea is to simultaneously compensate the gain reduction and frequency shift caused by the introduction of a low-pass filter in series with the delay element. Also, an optimization problem based on LMI constraints is presented to determine controller gains that guarantee stability and performance of the closed loop system. Simulation results based on the output stage of 3.5kVA UPS demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2015 IEEE.

This paper investigates Fault-Tolerant control for closed-loop systems where only coarse models are available and there is lack of actuator and sensor redundancies. The problem is approached in the form of a typical servomotor in closed-loop. A linear model is extracted from input/output data to describe the system over a frequency range. Two methods based on the Kalman Filter and Statistical Change Detection techniques are proposed for detecting degradation faults and component failures, respectively. Finally, a reference correction setup is used to compensate for degradation faults.

This paper proposes a hybrid multilevel topology for Open-End stator Winding (OEW) induction motor drive based on Modular Multilevel Cascade Inverter (MMCI) with Double-Star Chopper-Cells (DSCC) and 2-Level Voltage Source Inverter (2L-VSI). An efficient Voltage Reference Technique is proposed to generate the pole voltages of both inverters. As a result, the DSCC inverter is commanded in high-switching frequency, while the 2L-VSI operates at the fundamental frequency. A voltage-balancing control of the floating DC capacitors of the DSCC is presented to ensure the energy balance. At last, to investigate the proposed system and control strategy, experimental results are presented.
