This paper is concerned with the infinite horizon H∞ filtering problem for nonlinear stochastic systems with timedelay. For general delayed nonlinear stochastic systems, the conditions of H∞ filtering are usually given in terms of HamiltonJacobi inequalities(HJIs), which are difficult to solve. In this paper, the delayed nonlinear stochastic systems are modeled based on the T-S fuzzy model. The exponential mean square H∞ filter of delayed nonlinear stochastic systems is proposed via solving a set of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) instead of HJIs. A numerical example is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In the building climate control area, the linear model predictive control (LMPC)—nowadays considered a mature technique—benefits from the fact that the resulting optimization task is convex (thus easily and quickly solvable). On the other hand, while nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) using a more detailed nonlinear model of a building takes advantage of its more accurate predictions and the fact that it attacks the optimization task more directly, it requires more involved ways of solving the non-convex optimization problem. In this paper, the gap between LMPC and NMPC is bridged by introducing several variants of linear time-varying model predictive controller (LTVMPC). Making use of linear time-varying model of the controlled building, LTVMPC obtains predictions which are closer to reality than those of linear time invariant model while still keeping the optimization task convex and less computationally demanding than in the case of NMPC. The concept of LTVMPC is verified on a set of numerical experiments performed using a high fidelity model created in a building simulation environment and compared to the previously mentioned alternatives (LMPC and NMPC) looking at both the control performance and the computational requirements.

In this paper we are presenting a process loop that can be used in bottle washer machine. It is a holistic approach. Because wherever a control of liquid is required, it can be used. It can be used in chemical and oil industries also. Water is used for washing purpose in bottle washer machine. Total three parameters are controlled ***, *** and *** etc. There is a very strong interaction in between these parameters. Pressure and flow are required to control for better washing. The aim is to maintain above listed variable by using programmable Logic controller (PLC). It increases efficiency and response time both. By modifying hardware this loop can use for bottle filler also. For that a valve is required at output side. Almost industry requirement is an output with safety. So, safety aspects are also considered in it. Different sensors and valves are used with PLC. They are controlled by a program. According to the program PLC generates different signals and valve is controlled. This way pressure, level and flow can control. As an extra feature a Human Machine Interface (HMI) is also connected. So, that user can change the set values directly.

A new kind of scheme is proposed to obtain hierarchical fuzzy control of multivariable systems. It is based on algebraic fuzzy reasoning equations of fuzzy system using semi-tensor product framework recently described. First, the bi-decomposition of multivariable fuzzy systems is considered, and some new results are obtained. Using these results, the algorithm of hierarchical fuzzy systems realization is developed such that one can easily design the middle layers of the hierarchical structure. The resulting hierarchical system is totally equivalent to the conventional single layer fuzzy logic system. At last, an example is given to demonstrate that the algorithm is effective and feasible.

This paper deals with the finite-time stability and stabilization for continuous-time linear stochastic time-varying systems. Several necessary and sufficient conditions and a sufficient condition for finite-time stability are derived. Moreover,a sufficient condition for the existence of state feedback controller is given. Such results involve the feasibility problems of differential linear matrix inequalities with terminal constraint.

Non-invasive ultrasonic tomography is a practical solution of extracting cross-section information regarding the process of two-phase flow. For gas/water two-phase flow, the ultrasonic energy would be reflected about 99.94% at the gas/water interface due to the great differences between the acoustic impedance of water and gas. In this paper, the relations between pressure or voltage loss and bubble diameter has been studied by simulation results and experimental results, respectively by the ultrasonic transmission method. Both results showed that the transmission-mode measurement method has good resolution on the bubble diameter.
