Power transformer has degraded under its normal and abnormal operating conditions, maintenance activities are vital to restore the condition back to the normal condition. The traditional preventive maintenance is well known and successfully performed, but its cost is very high. This paper aims to improve the drawback by introducing asset management system for systematical records of scattering failure statistics. Web application is used to support a condition evaluation of power transformer. To determine a criticality of each component, a statistic method as Weibull distribution is proposed. Power transformer models of rated voltages 115/22 kV and 230/115 kV are applied based on available technical data, history test records and number in service. Finally, failure results, lifetime estimations and mean time between failures of power transformer components are discovered. Subsequently, data collection and analysis as well as appropriate maintenance planning are systematically managed.

A new current-mode Schmitt trigger based on MO-CTTA (Multiple output current through transconductance amplifier) is presented in this article. The circuit description is very simple, its construction consists of only single MO-CTTA. The hysteresis and amplitude of the output current can be tuned independently/electronically. With mentioned features, it is very suitable to realize in a monolithic chip. The PSPICE simulation and experimental results are depicted, and agree well with the theoretical anticipation. The maximum power consumption is approximately 249 mW at plusmn5 V supply voltages.

This article presents a current-mode quadrature oscillator using current controlled current feedback amplifiers (CC-CFAs) as active elements. The proposed circuit is realized from a lossy integrator and a lossy differentiator. The oscillation condition and oscillation frequency can be orthogonally controlled via input bias currents. The circuit description is very simple, consisting of merely 2 CC-CFAs, one grounded and floating capacitors. Without any external resistors and using a few number of external passive components, the proposed circuit is then suitable for IC architecture. The proposed circuit, due to high output impedances, enabling easy cascading in current-mode signal processing. The PSPICE simulation results are depicted, and the given results agree well with the theoretical anticipation. The power consumption is approximately 327 muW at plusmn1.5 V supply voltages.

Hyperspectral image has many spectral bands, each of them represent different range of frequency. Each spectral band has different characteristics according to the reflection level captured by hyperspectral remote sensor. These characteristics can distinguish a class with another classes in the hyperspecral image classification, however in some spectral bands these characteristics are not unique so these classes can't be separated perfectly. There are several factors that cause this to happen, e.g. atmospheric effects that can disrupt the reflection captured by the sensor and the natural similarity of several classes. So not all spectral bands have enough information that can separates each class in these spectral bands. Information that not evenly distributed throughout the spectral bands needed a weighting scheme that can provide suitable proportion of each spectral band in the hyperspectral image classification. This paper proposes method that implemented weighting scheme as an embedded feature selection on hyperspectral dataset provided by AVIRIS imaging spectometer. Three methods used to estimate spectral weight i.e. gradient descent, mutual information, and Bhattacharyya distance. These 3 methods are integrated into SVM learning procedure through its kernel function, called weighted kernel, as weight estimator. From the experiments later in this paper, it can be seen that gradient descent outperforms two other methods but takes much time to be executed because it uses many iterations to achieve good performance.

Ensemble methods used for classification and regression have been shown that they are superior than other methods, theoretically and empirically. Adapting this method on time-series prediction is done by using boosting algorithm. On boosting algorithm, recurrent neural networks (RNN) are generated, each for training on a different set of examples on time-series data, then the results for each of this base learners will be combined and resulting on a final hypothesis. The difference between our algorithm and the original algorithm is the introduction of a new parameter for tuning the boosting influence on given examples. Our boosting result is then tested on real time-series forecasting, using a natural dataset and function-generated time series. On the experiment result, it can be proved that ensemble method that we used is better than standard method, backpropagation through time for one step ahead time series prediction.

This paper presents the binding characteristics study of dengue non-structural protein 1 (NS1) antigen and its antibody using circular dichroism technique in far UV region. Circular dichroism (CD) is a spectroscopic technique which measures differences in the absorption of left-handed and right handed circularly polarized light. The CD spectrum can determine conformation of the NS1 antigen and its antibody, conformational changes of the antigen-antibody interaction and estimates the secondary structure of these proteins in far UV region. Firstly, CD spectrum of individual solutions of the antigen and the antibody were measured. Then, the solutions were mixed to produce a solution of complex dengue NS1 antigen and its antibody for measurement. The findings show that the antibody has the highest positive band of CD intensity follow by the complex antigen-antibody and antigen. The antibody is a chiral structure, has high helical conformation and more ordered epitope structure. Meanwhile, the NS1 antigen shows the negative and the lowest CD spectrum. The antigen is low chirality and has more random-like conformation. The complex (binding of the antigen and antibody) has the CD spectrum's shape similar to the antibody but in lower intensity. So, it has helical and beta conformations lower than the antibody. The binding characteristics of the complex solutions were also studied with increased in incubation time and with varied rotation applied. It is found that the immunoreactions between the antigen and its antibody are rapid processes which do not require too long incubation time. Besides, the applied rotation can increased the immunoreaction process.

A method is presented for calculating the diameter of a single conductor with the same capacitance to earth as a bundle of many conductors. The method is designed to asymptotically approach existing formulae when the separation between conductors is large, and to deliver a higher accuracy as the conductors become close together. The accuracy of both existing formulae and new method are evaluated against a full numerical solution.

Feature extraction and matching is one of the most significant research areas in robot vision. In this paper, we present a new method for motion estimation and mapping using color feature extraction and matching. The proposed method reduces computational cost and has good performance. The experimental result shows that the proposed method not only runs faster but provides accurate result.

In Intelligent Networks (IN), processing of services is taken out of the switches and placed (as "middleware") in separated and distributed computer nodes. Thus, "service integrators" (and not only equipment manufacturers or network operators) can design, deploy and administrate telecom processes tailored to the specific needs of targeted customers (individuals or groups). Education is centered on communications, so IN can be used to enhance learning management systems (LMS), with no space boundaries and in total compliance with community goals. Proprietary IN platforms are used mostly by telecom operators, but open source platforms, using Java APIs (e.g. Mobicents) are nowadays available for educational service creation in universities - which represents the subject of this paper.
