Forest fires have been detected to occur in Indonesia since 1998. The forest fires mostly resulted from human activities in order to expand their land, especially oil palm lands. Once a land clearing is carried out, it covers areas of tens to hundreds of thousands of hectares. The peak of the forest fires occurred in 2015 when almost half of the world was affected especially by smoke from the fire. In 2011, VIIRS (Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite) was launched by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). In their collected data, there is data on Indonesia issued daily for areas in the islands of Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and the general areas of Indonesia. The VIIRS night data shows the possibility of some burning at night. We need to identify burnings that potentially become fires, which are potentially producing smoke. It is important to observe areas where large-scale forest fires frequently occur, so the authority could do some prevention beforehand. Using existing data released per day per area, we utilize an ANN (Artificial Neural Network) to identify a potential fire. The processes start with data cleaning and processing, Neural Network creation, and finally ANN training and testing. By using the ANN prediction model with the MinMax Scaler, we choose variables Temperature, Radiant Heat Intensity, and Source Footprint. Simulations are made to show the ranges of these variables that predict the possibility of’flame’ status occurring. The increasing use of Information Technology (IT) in all areas of life, followed by increasing cybersecurity threats on the user side, makes cybersecurity awareness among users an obligation that must be met. Several solutions currently available (guides, discussion forums, workshops) have not been able to provide good results and are lacking in terms of user engagement, adaptability, and optimizing available resources, so technology-based learning is needed, especially AI. This paper introduces the design and prototype of an AI-based learning system, especially with the Naive Retrieval-Augmented Generation (Naive RAG) method with three steps, including Retrieval, Augmented, and Generation. The system combines contextual user questions and answers with internal and domain knowledge systems to explain cybersecurity awareness to users dynamically and personally. The prototype that has been developed is then tested using the Black Box Testing method to evaluate functionality and usability. The test results show that the functionality of the system built has run well with a percentage of success of 100%, so it can be used as a technologybased learning medium for education and learning of user security awareness.

Building a Simple COVID-19 Knowledge Graph in Bahasa Indonesia: A Preliminary Study

COVID-19 is an acute respiratory disease that has become a pandemic worldwide. Many studies have been conducted to enhance our understanding of COVID-19. However, the abundance of information obtained from these studies has resulted in information overload. In this study, we purposed a simple COVID-19 Knowledge Graph in Bahasa Indonesia as a way to reconstruct knowledge to combat this information overload. We used Bahasa Indonesia in our study to explore its potential for constructing a Knowledge Graph (KG). The construction of our KG involved manual curation of medical literatures and annotation of entities and relationships by the domain experts. The KG was implemented using Neo4J version 5. We successfully demonstrated our COVID-19 KG, which consists of 240 nodes and 276 relationships with 15 and 14 node and relationship labels respectively. Accessing the information within the KG is made effortless through the use of Cypher queries in Neo4J. Further research is still needed to develop the KG into a larger and better one. The implementation of smart grid on a micro scale in this study was for household electricity fulfillment needs. The use of renewable energy sources such as solar power will be integrated through a smart grid so that households can become independent in providing electricity and not depend on state electricity. Besides, it can also reduce monthly electricity costs when integrated with the state electricity network. Smart Micro Grid also enables the availability of energy management services such as monitoring, prediction, forecasting, scheduling and decision-making that was supported by some technologies such as artificial intelligent, smart sensors so that consumer use of electricity was more efficient. In this research, the forecasting method developed using the Deep Neural Network (DNN) and the Gate Recurrent Unit (GRU) as the architectural model. The GRU model was chosen because it has better performance compared to other models, namely LSTM, Auto-LSTM, Auto-GRU with MAE and MSE values of 0.0342 and 0.00245. © 2021 IEEE.

Magnetic induction tomography (MIT) is a technique used for imaging electromagnetic properties of objects using eddy current effects. The non-linear characteristics had led to more difficulties with its solution especially in dealing with low conductivity imaging materials such as biological tissues. Two methods that could be applied for MIT image processing which is the Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) and the Algebraic Reconstruction Technique (ART). ART is widely used in the industry due to its ability to improve the quality of the reconstructed image at a high scanning speed. GAN is an intelligent method which would be able to carry out the training process. In the GAN method, the MIT principle is used to find the optimum global conductivity distribution and it is described as a training process and later, reconstructed by a generator. The output is an approximate reconstruction of the distribution's internal conductivity image. Then, the results were compared with the previous traditional algorithm, namely the regularization algorithm of BPNN and Tikhonov Regularization method. It turned out that GAN had able to adjust the non-linear relationship between input and output. GAN was also able to solve non-linear problems that cannot be solved in the previous traditional algorithms, namely Back Propagation Neural Network (BPNN) and Tikhonov Regularization method. There are several other intelligent algorithms such as CNN (Convolution Neural Network) and K-NN (K-Nearest Neighbor), but such algorithms have not been able to produce the expected image quality. Thus, further study is still needed for the improvement of the image quality. The expected result in this study is the comparison of these two techniques, namely ART and GAN to get the best results on the image reconstruction using MIT. Thus, it is shown that GAN is a better candidate for this purpose. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

The ability for the brain to discriminate among visual stimuli is constrained by their retinal representations. Previous studies of visual discriminability have been limited to either low-dimensional artificial stimuli or pure theoretical considerations without a realistic encoding model. Here we propose a novel framework for understanding stimulus discriminability achieved by retinal representations of naturalistic stimuli with the method of information geometry. To model the joint probability distribution of neural responses conditioned on the stimulus, we created a stochastic encoding model of a population of salamander retinal ganglion cells based on a three-layer convolutional neural network model. This model not only accurately captured the mean response to natural scenes but also a variety of second-order statistics. With the model and the proposed theory, we computed the Fisher information metric over stimuli to study the most discriminable stimulus directions. We found that the most discriminable stimulus varied substantially across stimuli, allowing an examination of the relationship between the most discriminable stimulus and the current stimulus. By examining responses generated by the most discriminable stimuli we further found that the most discriminative response mode is often aligned with the most stochastic mode. This finding carries the important implication that under natural scenes, retinal noise correlations are information-limiting rather than increasing information transmission as has been previously speculated. We additionally observed that sensitivity saturates less in the population than for single cells and that as a function of firing rate, Fisher information varies less than sensitivity. We conclude that under natural scenes, population coding benefits from complementary coding and helps to equalize the information carried by different firing rates, which may facilitate decoding of the stimulus under principles of information maximizatio

The Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have reshaped educational technology, increasing the chances of developing more effective and engaging learning environments. This study proposes an architecture for asynchronous data communication with real-time face recognition, a virtual and remote labs confluence. The architecture uses IoT hardware and software to comprise critical components such as IoT cameras, message brokers, FTP servers, and AI processing servers. The aim is to optimize resource usage and maximize response time efficiency. The architecture employs message queuing to manage high volumes of face image data, facilitating immediate verification and rapid access. Our findings demonstrate that the system can achieve face recognition with 91.7% accuracy and an average system communication latency of 2.631 seconds, effectively leveraging asynchronous communication to optimize resource usage and computational efficiency. The research comprehensively measures the data communication metrics and face recognition metrics. It also explains how asynchronous data communication can be strategically deployed in a hybrid lab environment to enhance educational and operational efficacy.

In this study, the experimental performance of a commercial heat pump tumble dryer (HPTD) system integrated with photovoltaic (PV) was evaluated using energy and exergy analysis. Additionally, a sustainability and exergoeconomic performance analysis of system components was conducted to identify components in need of improvement. Only 17.6% of the energy generated by the panels was consumed by the HPTD system, with the remaining portion being utilized by other laboratory devices connected to the same grid, contributing to a sustainable future. In addition to meeting the energy demand, the PV system satisfied the entire power requirement of the HPTD system. It was determined that the drying chamber and the compressor together accounted for 74.53% of the total exergy destruction in the system, with this cost being predominantly incurred during the drying process. Moreover, based on the exergy, sustainability, and exergoeconomic analyses conducted, it was concluded that the drying chamber, integrated with the fan unit, exhibited the lowest exergy efficiency (57.04%), the highest waste exergy ratio (0.83) and the lowest exergoeconomic factor value (0.716) among the system components, indicating the need for improvement in the fan-integrated drying chamber. © 2024, The Authors. The cyber-physical production system (CPPS) was developed for the interconnection between operational technology (OT) and information and communication technology (ICT) among the machines and decentralized production control. However, OT and ICT are now getting more complex in the modern industry. To enhance industrial management and production process, the CPPS based on the 5G architecture under production environments can provide a more comprehensive solution in the context of Industry 4.0. For this purpose, a 5G CPPS model to improve the interoperability of CPPS in ICT and OT is proposed to build a virtualized Industry 4.0 asset management shell system. First, real-time task artifacts and 5G communication modules are bound in a certain form of virtualization. Second, task artifacts are released to the production line in a real-time scheduling. Third, an order is placed on a production line and split into multiple tasks for production process. Single-machine single-workpiece and multi-machine and multi-workpiece processing cases are used for testing in the production line. Experimental results show that the proposed 5G CPPS can efficiently achieve multi-machine work piece processing. © 2022, The Author(s).

This research is to study the electric muscle stimulation system and hot compress. As well as focusing on building tools for applications in rehabilitation medicine and physical therapy. The neuromuscular system is an important mechanism in human life. In the event that the muscles are stressed or contracted while the subject is recovering, the need for recovery and stimulation tools is an important part of the physical therapy. We designed electrical circuits for automatic control and used an ARDUINO microcontroller to connect analog and digital ports to transmit and receive clinical parameters. The number of voluntary subjects was 20. Each subject remembered to perform 5 stimulation sessions for 10 minutes. Total period that the researcher collects data is approximately 3 months. The trials were based on ethical studies in humans, where trials and researches showed that subjects were 980% satisfied with very few side effects, and subjects had improved muscle development. © 2021 IEEE.
