This paper presents the small form-factor pluggable (SFP) reader by using arduino board which perform readings the register data stored in the EEPROM of SFP device and displaying on TFT LCD. The SFP reader is to read the properties of SFP for checking the data of interested SFP. There are many brand and version of SFPs that have different properties that can cause the waste time and budget for installation with wrong devices. The results show that the proposed SFP reader can read the data properties and Tx/Rx optical power.

Type 2 diabetes is an increasingly prevalent disease and patients do not always manage the disease properly. Therefore, creating tools that help diabetics self-manage their condition over time is of the utmost importance. Technological tools that include features meeting this population's needs, with an integrated personalized feedback system, in an environment of gamified incentives, may be the way for developing a sustained app's usage. This work aims to present a still in development, novel approach to managing diabetes type 2 with a focus on data analysis from user-inputs, gamification, and personalized coaching, with an accessible user interface. Thus, we will present some functionalities, in particular the theoretical and practical concept that is behind this development, namely the Transtheoretical model of behavior change to create different profiles, to provide customized feedback according to the user's behavioral stage, and also to ascertain if it induces any improvement at the behavioral level.

The Piecewise Polynomial Interpolation (PPI) function approach is aimed at solving nonlinear programming problems with disjoint feasible regions. In such problems, disjointedness is generally associated with prohibited operating zones, which correspond to bands of values that a variable is not allowed to assume. An analytical implication of such prohibited operating zones is to make the objective function, as well as its domain, discontinuous. The PPI function approach consists in replacing the constraints associated with prohibited operating zones by an equivalent set of equality and inequality constraints, thereby allowing the application of any efficient gradient-based optimization method for solving the equivalent problem. Nonthermal plasma can provide an alternative to CO 2 utilization under mild conditions. Understanding the effect of plasma on catalysis is highly desired. Herein, a comparative study was performed on CO 2 hydrogenation under thermal catalytic and plasma catalytic conditions using an alumina-supported cobalt catalyst. Significant plasma-catalyst synergy was attained at the low-temperature range between 423 K and 498 K where the CO 2 conversion increased up to approximately 3.6 times of the sum of that using plasma or catalyst individually. The plasma-catalytic reaction showed a significantly lower activation energy (~40 kJ/mol), which is only half of that in the thermal catalytic reaction (~80 kJ/mol). Kinetic analysis and DRIFTS results indicate that CO 2 activation is promoted by plasma with the assistance of active H species from gas phase. Furthermore, the total H 2 adsorption capacity and the coverage of unrecyclable adsorbed H species on the metal surface were decreased under plasma. The promotion effect is very likely due to a new reaction pathway introduced by plasma. In addition, the structure and morphology changes of spent catalysts after thermal or plasma reaction were not significant, suggesting they contribute little to the synergetic effect observed under the conditions. © 2022, The Authors. This article presents an indirect power predictive optimal controller applicable to grid-connected converters. The VSI converter is used as an interface between distributed generators, energy storage systems and the ac-grid. The objective of the research project is to develop a controller with high static and dynamic features, that performs with low computational burden and low switching stress. The first step to develop the controller is to select the appropiate reference frame. The αβ frame is used for its simple structure and easy implementation. Then, the proposed methodology consider the controller performance to define the sampling period, the prediction horizon and the switching pattern. Results show that an increment in the sampling period results in a major harmonic content, and if the prediction horizon increases, the number of calculations is higher without improving the controller performance. The main features of the proposed controller are: low sampling times and a two-steps prediction horizon. With these features the VSI efficiency rises, while the systems's losses and harmonic distortion are reduced. © 2019 IEEE.

Dynamic hypergames for synthesis of deceptive strategies with temporal logic objectives

In this paper, we study the use of deception for strategic planning in adversarial environments. We model the interaction between the agent (player 1) and the adversary (player 2) as a two-player concurrent game in which the adversary has incomplete information about the agent’s task specification in temporal logic. During the online interaction, the adversary can infer the agent’s intention from observations and adapt its strategy so as to prevent the agent from satisfying the task. To plan against such an adaptive opponent, the agent must leverage its knowledge about the adversary’s incomplete information to influence the behavior of the opponent, and thereby being deceptive. To synthesize a deceptive strategy, we introduce a class of hypergame models that capture the interaction between the agent and its adversary given asymmetric, incomplete information. A hypergame is a hierarchy of games, perceived differently by the agent and its adversary. We develop the solution concept of this class of hypergames and show that the subjectively rationalizable strategy for the agent is deceptive and maximizes the probability of satisfying the task in temporal logic. This deceptive strategy is obtained by modeling the opponent evolving perception of the interaction and integrating the opponent model into proactive planning. Following the deceptive strategy, the agent chooses actions to influence the game history as well as to manipulate the adversary’s perception so that it takes actions that benefit the goal of the agent. We demonstrate the correctness of our deceptive planning algorithm using robot motion planning examples with temporal logic objectives and design a detection mechanism to notify the agent of potential errors in modeling of the adversary’s behavior. The development of technology and information has an impact on the learning process in the world of education, especially vocational education. In this era learning is not only held in class, but can be anywhere. The role of the internet has made it easy to access learning materials needed by students. An effective and efficient vocational education learning solution is to apply the blended learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of vocational education students from various majors or concentrations on the use of the blended learning model. This study includes a type of quantitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and data analysis techniques carried out by steps 1) collecting respondents' data;2) analyze the data by describing or describing the collected data;3) presents in graphical form (visual). The results of this study show attention or interest if on average they get a response of 81.33% with the category "high", for the level of relevance to get a response of 85.50% with "high" activities, while for student response literacy towards the blended learning model learning gets a score of 80.38%. For confidence, the response was 69.07% with the category "enough". High interest is the starting point for the application of blended learning. If the initial perception has shown positive, then learning will be more focused to achieve the goal. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Entering the industrial era 4.0, the role of the world of education is very important in forming graduates who are competent and can compete in the business world. Graduates are required to have understanding and expertise / skills in their respective fields. Therefore learning activities must innovate in meeting the demands of the workplace. One of them is by utilizing technological advances in learning activities in the form of learning applications based on project tasks. With this project-based blended learning model, students are trained to complete a project designed according to the needs of the industry / company and can take advantage of learning applications as learning media. Lecturers can monitor the development of projects carried out by students through learning applications, besides that this application can be used by lecturers and students to discuss when problems are encountered during learning activities. The assessment activities are not only from mastering the material but also from student project assignments. By giving projects to students, it can train students' ability to solve problems and do simple designs on computer networks. This learning model was implemented at STMIK Indonesia Padang in the Computer Network Design and Management course. The development of this project-based Blended Learning model was carried out using the Borg and Gall development model. Fault diagnosis is essential for avoiding unscheduled interruptions and to ensure the availability and reliability of production processes. However, despite certain critical industrial applications employing closed-loop-driven induction motors, the diagnosis of initial faults originating in the machine insulation is more challenging than in motors supplied by the grid or even by inverters operating in open loop. In this context, this article explores, through a detailed and comprehensive review, all the mechanisms that influence the inter-turns short-circuit fault signatures that hinder its diagnosis and presents a critical analysis of the fault detection methods proposed so far. Therefore, this article brings contributions to the theme by providing an understanding of such phenomena and presenting a broad perspective on the current status of stator winding fault monitoring, while assisting future research in the field of online fault diagnostics, equipment condition monitoring, reliability and asset management.

Drying has been an eco-friendly and cost-efficient method to reduce post-harvest losses of agricultural crops. In various countries, the technique has been widely utilized in the form of Solar Dryer Dome (SDD) buildings. Accurate indoor microclimate forecasting is very important to implement smart control systems in SDDs that can maintain the ideal conditions, as the availability of solar energy is limited only at daytimes and the temperature may drop significantly during nighttimes in remote areas. The microclimate variables that play an important role in maintaining ideal environmental conditions include temperature and relative humidity. © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.
