Achievement of green campus indications based on assessment indicators on H-BAT program Universitas Negeri Semarang

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) has a spirit to become a Conservation and International Reputation University is realized through strategic missions. One of the conservation-oriented implementation programs is H-BAT (Green, Clean and Healthy) program. In its implementation, there is a problem, namely the achievement of H-BAT program has not been maximized during the last 3 years in assessment. The objectives of this research are: (1) to identify of the potential and character of environmental support in the work units; (2) to determine the achievement of the indication of a green campus based on the assessment indicators on H-BAT program. This research was carried out in four stages: (1) Data collection; (2) Spatial data processing; (3) Non Spatial data processing; (4) Analysis (ecological, technical standards); The results achieved in June 2020 are as follows: FT got 87,50%, FE got 85,87%, FMIPA got 81,52%, BUHK got79,49%, FIP got 73,91%, LP3 got 69,23%, LP2M got 63,46%, FIS got 60,33%,PPS got 57,07%, FIK got 56,52%, FH got 52,72%, FBS got 49,46%, TIK got 40,38%, BPB got 34,62%, Library got 30,13%, Archive got 17,31%. From these results, it can be seen that there is a lack of maximum achievement due to, among others, the lack of guidance and technical assistance in the management of the unit. So it is necessary to complete governance guidelines and technical assistance that are more intensive in unit governance to achieve the goals of UNNES as a green campus.

This work is unique and contributes new knowledge to the field whereas it involves introducing a new method based on coupling two or three stochastic models, analyzing new data represented by drought and flooding risk relationship, and addressing a previously unexplored research question: Can we make a decision regarding future evapotranspiration-flooding risk relationship? In this paper, the Bat algorithm (BAT) with the Newton Method (NM), Bird Swarm Algorithm (BSA), Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Chicken Swarm Optimization Algorithm (CSO) are used as a hybrid model in arid and semi-arid zones in Saudi Arabia as well as for modeling rainfall, temperature, and solar radiation implications on evapotranspiration variability. Coupling between aridity and evapotranspiration over a long time can create flooding risks. This holistic modeling aims to reduce flooding risks and ensure the desired decision. Several models were employed to simulate some basins’ Potential and Actual evapotranspiration as case studies. The meteorological inputs of the hybrid models were calibrated and validated with metric evaluation for input and output of evapotranspiration, respectively. The results suggest that the application of a hybrid model can improve the accuracy of evapotranspiration simulations in terms of statistical parameters, whereas BAT–GA–NM reduced MAPE from 38.88 to 4.16% for Mekkah and from 14.94 to 2.04% for Medina and NSCE from − 0.17 to 0.97 for Mekkah and from 0.82 to 0.99%. Those parameters will provide a better understanding of evapotranspiration processes in watersheds and valuable information for early warnings of flooding risks. © The Author(s) 2025.

High-frequency phenomena require appropriate models to be accurately reproduced and analyzed by means of computational simulations. Within industrial facilities, insulated cables are widespread and their modeling in a broad range of frequencies is complex due to the proximity between these and particular issues concerning the installation methods. In this context, in the present paper the authors improve a methodology presented previously to make it suitable for the most used installation methods in industry, namely the perforated and the ladder type cable trays, not addressed so far. The required modifications regarding the methodology reformulation are explained and the obtained results are presented and compared to those derived from the previously available technique, followed by discussions and physical insights.

The most adopted definition of landslide hazard combines spatial information about landslide location (susceptibility), threat (intensity), and frequency (return period). Only the first two elements are usually considered and estimated when working over vast areas. Even then, separate models constitute the standard, with frequency being rarely investigated. Frequency and intensity are dependent on each other because larger events occur less frequently and vice versa. However, due to the lack of multi-temporal inventories and joint statistical models, modeling such properties via a unified hazard model has always been challenging and has yet to be attempted. Here, we develop a unified model to estimate landslide hazard at the slope unit level to address such gaps. We employed deep learning, combined with extreme-value theory to analyze an inventory of 30 years of observed rainfall-triggered landslides in Nepal and assess landslide hazard for multiple return periods. We also use our model to further explore landslide hazard for the same return periods under different climate change scenarios up to the end of the century. Our model performs excellently (with an accuracy of 0.78 and an area under the curve of 0.86) and can be used to model landslide hazard in a unified manner. Geomorphologically, we find that under climate change scenarios (SSP245 and SSP585), landslide hazard is likely to increase up to two times on average in the lower Himalayan regions (Siwalik and lower Himalayas; ≈110–3,500 m) while remaining the same in the middle Himalayan region (≈3,500–5,000 m) whilst decreasing slightly in the upper Himalayan region (≳5,000 m) areas. E-voting is an electronic voting information technology service, while E-participation is an information technology service for citizens of the public to provide reports, polls, or suggestions on government policies electronically. The Technology Services E-Participation-VOT (EPV) model is a combined E-Participation and E-Voting service model. The concept of this service model is that citizens transform from E-participation and E-voting services into an EPV model. The purpose of this model is to provide information to participants (citizens) about online-based voting services. This method of developing the EP-Voting Anticipation (EPV) technology model uses agile methods that are effective and flexible in various cases of designing Information Technology models for Information Technology (IT) services that apply a Framework Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). The results obtained from this study are an Information Technology service system model that provides recommendations for participation in conducting electronic elections (E-Voting). © 2020 IEEE.

Biodiesel is an alternative fuel produced by chemical reaction between vegetable oil or animal fat with alcohol and catalyst. The preliminary treatment in extraction of biodiesel feedstock is an important process to obtain maximum yield of crude oil. This study aims to find optimal preliminary treatment on extraction of Kemiri Sunan seed in order to produce crude oil with maximum yield and quality. The research investigated the effects of screw press machine rotation and duration of steaming process. Three levels of duration of steaming used were 30, 60 and 90 minutes. Observations of crude oil yield, moisture content, free fatty acid content, kinematic viscosity, density and color were done. The result suggested that the rotation of screw press machine affected the crude oil yield. The duration of steaming process affected the oil yield, free fatty acid content, kinematic viscosity, density and color. The best oil yield result of 70.3% was obtained from the combination of heating duration of 60' and screw rotation of 25 RPM. © 2019 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The dynamics of a particle propagating in free space is described by its position and momentum, where quantum mechanics prohibits the simultaneous identification of two non-commutative physical quantities. Recently, a lower bound on the probability of finding a particle after propagating for a given time has been derived for well-defined initial constraints on position and momentum under the assumption that particles travel in straight lines. Here, we investigate this lower limit experimentally with photons. We prepared a superposition of position and momentum states by using slits, lenses and an interferometer, and observed a quantum interference between position and momentum. The lower bound was then evaluated using the initial state and the result was 5.9% below this classical bound. Copyright © 2022, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Nowadays, The roads have increased the number of streetlights for the roads vehicles/pedestrians, which raises investment and energy. Observations made to obtain most of the road lights are always active at night, even when there are no vehicles or pedestrians on the road. The problems that occur are the waste of energy sources that are used in streetlights. This research designs the concept of intelligent traffic flow based (LED) for energy optimization, maximum efficiency. This concept uses intelligent light architecture using the LoRaWAN Mesh network. The application of this concept offers system reliability, reduces costs, and makes user satisfaction. The results of this study are demonstrated by experimenting with comparing conventional LED lights. The proposed system, resulting in 33% to 62% energy savings depending on when the usage process in streetlights. Smart lighting LEDs with LoRaWAN provide a remote-control mechanism that can be dynamically adjusted based on environmental conditions, distance, and automatic motion.

Autonomic nervous system (ANS) has been suggested often associated with the isolated rapid eye movement (REM) sleep behavior disorder (iRBD), with iRBD, and heart rate variability (HRV) is a commonly used tool to assess it. However, the accuracy of HRV is heavily influenced by respiratory rate (RespR), potentially causing misinterpretation of frequency domain HRV indices. This study compares sleep-related ANS function between iRBD patients and a control group (CG) using respiratory-adjusted HRV spectral analysis. It involves 20 iRBD and 20 CG participants in each group, from which five-minute ECG signal epochs during N2, N3, and REM sleep phases are analyzed. RespR were estimated from ECG-derived respiratory signals. Both low and high frequency bands definition for HRV analysis were redefined using the RespR. The results indicate significant differences in HRV parameters between iRBD and CG subjects during REM sleep, highlighting disrupted autonomic regulation in iRBD. This finding is also evident in non-REM phases, thus emphasizing the need to incorporate RespR in HRV analysis, especially in sleep-related studies, for a comprehensive understanding of autonomic dysfunction.
