Conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs) have found extensive applications in various fields such as optoelectronics, CO 2 capture, and catalysis. However, their potential in electrochemical supercapacitors as energy storage and H 2 production systems remains relatively unexplored. This limited exploration can be attributed to certain challenges, including issues related to structural and electrochemical stability, as well as the relatively modest specific capacitance. Additionally, many of the CMPs discovered thus far have exhibited lower energy densities, further contributing to this underexplored aspect of their utility. In this study, we prepared two different CMPs [TPET-TTh and PyT-TTh CMPs] containing thienyltriazine units (TTh) for the redox mechanism and constructed electrodes for supercapacitor applications. The synthesized TPET-TTh and PyT-TTh CMPs displayed exceptionally high specific surface areas of 545 and 528 m² g⁻¹, respectively. Furthermore, their pore sizes were very similar, centered at approximately 0.39 and 0.36 nm, respectively. To evaluate their electrochemical properties, the TTh-CMPs were examined using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and galvanostatic charge/discharge (GCD). The resulting CV curves exhibited rectangular shapes, indicative of the characteristic behavior of electric double-layer capacitors, across a range of potential and scan rates. These TPET-TTh and PyT-TTh CMPs delivered nominal specific capacitances of 74 and 76 F g −1 at 0.5 A g −1 , respectively. In addition, they exhibited outstanding capacity retentions of 95.2 and 97.30 % even after 2000 cycles [analyzed at 10 A g −1 ]. The TTh-CMPs also exhibited excellent light-capture capabilities. The PyT-TTh CMP has faster charge separation and lower charge recombination rates than TPET-TTh CMP. This results in a higher hydrogen evolution rate from the water decomposition reaction. The H 2 production rate of PyT-TTh CMP could be as high as 18,533 μmol g −1 h −1 , which is approximately 4

The ultimate goal of this paper is to discuss and develop the conceptual model of an electrical engineering Profession Certification based on Recognition of Prior Learning (EEPC-RPL) integrated with learning outcomes, assessment system and learning process for Engineer Profession program in Yogyakarta State University (YSU), Indonesia. In Engineer Profession program, Yogyakarta State University, the paper based Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) was used as a tools to evaluate competence of students' knowledge, skills and achievement. The method of this research used the research and development approach consisted of five steps, they are: 1) need analysis, 2) design the EEPC-RPL model, 3) development the EEPC-RPL system, 4) implementation of the system and 5) evaluation. The comple mitogenome of Spanish flag snapper,Lutjanus carponotatuswas determined by next generation sequencing (NGS) technique. The mitogenome ofL. carponotatus(16,514bp) habors 37 genes (22 tRNAs, 2 rRNAs, 13 polypeptides) and two non-coding regions, the origin of light strand replication (OL) and the putative control region (D-Loop). Among the 37 genes inL. carponotatusmitogenome, 28 were encoded on the H-strand, whereas only 9 were on the L-strand. Phylogenetic relationship showed that the full mitochondrial genome sequencesL. carponotatuswas most closely related toLutjanus russelliiwith 93% sequence identity clustering withLutjanus fulviflamma(92%) andLutjanus vitta(91%).

Biomass from palm oil is a renewable energy source that can be utilized and has very promising availability. Biomass energy is a renewable and sustainable energy that can replace conventional (fossil) fuels. The main objective of the experiment in this article is to analyze the combustion temperature, emissions, and efficiency of palm oil biomass fuel to use and applied in rural/remote areas. The palm oil biomass used in this study is palm kernel shells, empty fruit bunches, oil palm midrib, and oil palm fibers. The experiments in the research carried out in a fluidized-bed combustion chamber designed explicitly with capacities of up to 5 kg of biomass. The results of operations on fluidized-bed when the valve is open 100%, 75%, and 50% with overall palm oil biomass show a high combustion temperature. The highest combustion temperature was recorded in the TC test for 100% open valves with 3 kg biomass of 943°C. While the minimum combustion temperature obtained on TF2 at 50% open valve with 1 kg biomass of 619°C, overall combustion temperatures in this experiment showed high results. The maximum emission for O2 is 20.4% which is obtained at 50% open valve, while for CO2 the maximum emission is produced when 100% open valve is 19.9% with a biomass weight of 1 kg and 3 kg, respectively. The yield for maximum combustion efficiency when using 1 kg of biomass recorded at 50% open valve was 94.9%. While the minimum efficiency of 87.7% is obtained when the valve is 100% open with biomass of 2 kg. As the biomass fuel used in fluidized-bed increases, the combustion temperature also increases significantly.

The complete mitochondrial genome of the coonstriped,Pandalus hypsinotuswas determined by the MiSeq sequencing platform. The mitogenome ofP. hypsinotus(15,909 bp) encoded the 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNA genes, two rRNA genes, non-coding, control region (D-Loop). Phylogenetic analysis based on the full mitochondrial genome sequences showed thatP. hypsinotusis most closely related toP. borealis(86%) clustering together withChlorotocus crassicornisin Pandalidae. The complete mitogenome sequence ofP. hypsinotuswould contribute to the scientific management for conservation of its resources in East/Japan Sea.

Augmented Reality is a technology that allows users to see the real world, with virtual objects placed on it or combined with the real world. Augmented Reality itself can be applied to various things, including as an educational media. In the field of education, technology can be used a culture introduction to society. One part of Indonesian culture is traditional houses. Traditional house is a building that symbolizes the culture of the local community. In North Sumatra itself, there are several traditional houses that have different forms. The use of Vuforia SDK in the construction of this application can display augmented objects in the form of 3-dimentional objects and also provide information on the house. This application will run on the Android mobile platform to make it easier for users to access it. Global ground-level measurements of elements in ambient particulate matter (PM) can provide valuable information to understand the distribution of dust and trace elements, assess health impacts, and investigate emission sources. We use X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy to characterize the elemental composition of PM samples collected from 27 globally distributed sites in the Surface PARTiculate mAtter Network (SPARTAN) over 2019-2023. Consistent protocols are applied to collect all samples and analyze them at one central laboratory, which facilitates comparison across different sites. Multiple quality assurance measures are performed, including applying reference materials that resemble typical PM samples, acceptance testing, and routine quality control. Method detection limits and uncertainties are estimated. Concentrations of dust and trace element oxides (TEO) are determined from the elemental dataset. In addition to sites in arid regions, a moderately high mean dust concentration (6 μg/m) in PM is also found in Dhaka (Bangladesh) along with a high average TEO level (6 μg/m). High carcinogenic risk (>1 cancer case per 100000 adults) from airborne arsenic is observed in Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kanpur (India), and Hanoi (Vietnam). Industries of informal lead-acid battery and e-waste recycling as well as coal-fired brick kilns likely contribute to the elevated trace element concentrations found in Dhaka.

In this paper is presented a new method for accurately identifying the coordinates of the maximum power point on the IV curve. Based on the presented method are identified a set of analytical equations used for the evaluation of the coordinates of the maximum power point. The presented analytical relations ensure, under certain conditions, determination of the maximum power with a better accuracy of 1%. The maximum power point is evaluated based on a point at the intersection between a special line (d) and the I-V characteristic curve. Determination of the analytical relations is based on the explicit form of the I-V characteristic expressed with Lambert W-function.

Cryptography is the science and art of maintaining the security of messages when messages are sent from one place to another. One of the ways securing the form of text message information is by the encryption process using the Vigenere Cipher algorithm and utilizing the One Time Pad (OTP) algorithm as a key generator, where the message will be random when it is opened. The message encryption process used the vigenere cipher algorithm while OTP is used to secure the key with the same formula. After this research has been done, an application was designed to secure text messages by converting the text message into a random message so that the message was unreadable due to a secret message that could not be known by others. The results achieved can secure an encrypted message that cannot be reopened and if those messages were reopened, they must be decrypted. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Bilayers of ferromagnetic and heavy metal nanolayers excited with femtosecond laser pulses emit subpicosecond bursts of electromagnetic radiation with spectral frequencies up to several THz. We fabricated such spintronic THz emitters containing various ferromagnetic materials with vastly different magnetic remanence, saturation magnetization, and coercive field. In all cases, the THz amplitude versus magnetic field dependence follows the independently measured magnetization hysteresis loops and the THz polarization direction is perpendicular to the sample’s magnetization M, both consistent with the inverse spin Hall effect as physical origin. The M(T) variation governs the temperature dependence of the THz generation. Emitters with weakly remanent ferromagnets are field-tunable, while moderately and strongly remanent ferromagnets, once magnetized, allow intense THz generation even without an external field, nevertheless exhibiting low susceptibility to magnetic perturbations, if the hysteresis loop is square. Hence, exploiting the magnetic properties of the ferromagnetic layer enables tailoring of weakly temperature-dependent spintronic THz emitters. Finally, we explored the applicability of perovskite oxide materials such as La-Sr-Mn-O (LSMO) for THz transient generation. Although we detected THz emissions from, e.g., LSMO/Au nanobilayers, the signal was attributed to the ultrafast transient demagnetization and not the inverse spin Hall effect. © 2023, The Authors.
