Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are the most energetic phenomena in the Universe. Many aspects of GRB physics are still under debate, such as the origin of their gamma-ray emission above the GeV energy range. In 2019, MAGIC detected TeV gamma rays from the long GRB 190114C, whose emission can be well explained by synchrotron-self Compton emission by relativistic electrons. However, it is still unclear whether such a process is common in GRBs, given the reduced number of GRBs detected until now at the very high energies (VHE). GRB 201216C is a long GRB and is the second one detected by MAGIC in this energy range. After receiving the alert provided by Swift-BAT, MAGIC automatically slewed to the GRB position, starting observations 56 seconds after the GRB onset. In the offline analyses of the collected data, we confirmed the detection of gamma-ray emission with a significance above 5 sigma. Following measurements from optical facilities, the redshift of this GRB was estimated to be z = 1.1. This makes GRB 201216C the most distant object ever detected by ground-based gamma-ray telescopes. In this contribution we will show the analysis results of the MAGIC data, also in comparison with past detected GRBs in the same energy range. Fossil fuels bring about concerns like air pollution, rising greenhouse gas emissions due to its combustion and depletion issues. The need to more to biofuels as an alternative and renewable energy source is for a sustainable and environment for the future. This research project studies the biofuels in Malaysian perspective, the debates concerning the issues as well as the advantages and disadvantages of biofuels. The production of biofuels and comparison with fossil fuels has been done based on the social, economic and environmental context. Research is also conducted on the organizations producing biofuels in Malaysia, volume of fossil fuels are being currently replaced by biofuels, and where the projection in the next 20 years will be. After all the studies and observations are carried out, personal evaluation of further requirements or developments is made. It can be concluded that Malaysia will not be able to replace its fossil fuels with biofuels in the near future.

Human identification both prior to death and after death is becoming one of the major worldwide issues nowadays for law enforcement aspect as well as social and security aspects. General identification prior to death is possible through comparison of many biometric identifiers. However identification after death is impossible using behavioral biometric such as speech and actions. Moreover, in many circumstances such as natural disasters, air plane crash or a case of identification a couple of weeks later, most of physical biometrics may not be useful for identification due to the decay of some soft tissues. A lot of research has been done in the field of different biometric modalities like Finger-print, Iris, Hand-Veins, Dental biometrics etc. to identify humans. However only a little has been known the chest X-Ray biometric which was very powerful method for identification especially during the mass disasters in which most of other biometrics are unidentifiable. Therefore in this paper, we propose a stochastic modelling approach for human identification after death by using chest X- Ray prior to death database. Some experimental results are shown based on real life dataset and confirmed.

The development of information and communication technology at this time has touched all sides of life. Almost no side of human life is not touched by this information technology, which is more synonymous with the world of computerization. No exception also with the computerization that is popular in the corporate environment and government agencies. If in ancient times everything was still done manually. However, at this time all leaders and management have realized the importance of this information technology products that can facilitate them in carrying out the day-to-day corporate functions. Decision Making System of goods purchasing is one of the determinants of the accumulation of goods. If the decision is taken right then stockpiling of goods can be avoided. In this thesis the authors designed a web-based system that helps Management in making the decision of the purchase amount of goods. the system was developed by using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and using SQL Server database processing applications. Background: Improving the accessibility of screening diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and differentiating isolated diabetic nephropathy from non-diabetic kidney disease (NDKD) are two major challenges in the field of diabetes care. We aimed to develop and validate an artificial intelligence (AI) deep learning system to detect DKD and isolated diabetic nephropathy from retinal fundus images. Methods: In this population-based study, we developed a retinal image-based AI-deep learning system, DeepDKD, pretrained using 734 084 retinal fundus images. First, for DKD detection, we used 486 312 retinal images from 121 578 participants in the Shanghai Integrated Diabetes Prevention and Care System for development and internal validation, and ten multi-ethnic datasets from China, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and the UK (65 406 participants) for external validation. Second, to differentiate isolated diabetic nephropathy from NDKD, we used 1068 retinal images from 267 participants for development and internal validation, and three multi-ethnic datasets from China, Malaysia, and the UK (244 participants) for external validation. Finally, we conducted two proof-of-concept studies: a prospective real-world study with 3 months' follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of DeepDKD in screening DKD;and a longitudinal analysis of the effectiveness of DeepDKD in differentiating isolated diabetic nephropathy from NDKD on renal function changes with 4·6 years' follow-up. Findings: For detecting DKD, DeepDKD achieved an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of 0·842 (95% CI 0·838–0·846) on the internal validation dataset and AUCs of 0·791–0·826 across external validation datasets. For differentiating isolated diabetic nephropathy from NDKD, DeepDKD achieved an AUC of 0·906 (0·825–0·966) on the internal validation dataset and AUCs of 0·733–0·844 across external validation datasets. This article presents an approach to develop an electrical micro-grid with more than one renewable energy source. The micro-grid is considered as a discrete power system composed of distributed energy sources and different kind of system loads. The loads of the micro-grid can operate in alongside with the grid or can switch to other power system to supply continually the electrical energy, otherwise the micro-grid power system can switch to an accumulating reserve, such as battery banks, fuel cells or other allocated reserve. Operation of the micro-grid relies on demand, storage, and energy generation management. In this case the energy supply comes from the renewable energy system or from the accumulated energy reserves. The proposed development comprehends the use of a series of data, from the monitoring and data acquisition unit, process the data by constructing and train the neural network with this data. After the validation of neural network error rate, we use the network function to estimate a short term time series prediction. The data input is a daily solar energy value, which was measured a period of time. From this data we try to forecast the energy production value for the next day. The predicted value may serve to control the renewable energy based power system, in function of energy demand. In the studied system we have a combined hybrid power generation unit, a solar photovoltaic and a micro hydro, where the main sub system is the solar photovoltaic and the micro hydro is serving as an accumulative reserve, partially controlled by the estimated predicted data.

Berkah Mart is one of the new minimarkets in Pekanbaru city which began to develop as a retail business to meet the needs of the community. In his operation, Berkah Mart still uses the traditional store management perception that the placement of product layout on sale shelves has not been through sales analysis. Existing products have not been reviewed from the consumer's point of view, whereas the marketing economics concept provides a variety of product and consumer management methods for business management in Berkah Mart, including market bucket analysis techniques and various itemset search algorithms. In this research, Market Basket Basket Analysis with FP-Growth algorithm is proposed to determine the layout and planning of goods availability. The application of FP-Growth algorithm proved to be useful in generating many and informative association rules to find out the consumer spending pattern at Berkah Mart in Pekanbaru. Moreover, from the rules of the customer association can be segmented separately to meet the specific needs of customers with cost-effective by using some special promotions for the general group. The experimental results show that FP-Growth algorithm can analyze quickly and efficiently informing consumer shopping pattern at Berkah Mart and can increase Berkah Mart revenue. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

We generated pulses of electromagnetic radiation in the terahertz (THz) frequency range by optical excitation of Co2Fe0.4Mn0.6Si (CFMS)/normal-metal (NM) bilayer structures. The CFMS is a Heusler alloy showing a band gap in one spin channel and is therefore a half metal. We compared the THz emission efficiency in a systematic manner for four different CFMS/NM bilayers, where NM was either Pt, Ta, Cr, or Al. Our measurements show that the THz intensity is highest for a Pt capping. We also demonstrate the tunability of the THz amplitude by varying the magnetic field for all four bilayers. We attribute the THz generation to the inverse spin Hall effect. In order to investigate the role of the interface in THz generation, we measured the spin mixing conductance for each CFMS/NM bilayer using a ferromagnetic resonance method. We found that the spin-orbit coupling cannot completely describe the THz generation in the bilayers and that the spin transmission efficiency of the CFMS/NM interface and the spin diffusion length, as well as the oxidation of the NM layer, play crucial roles in the THz emission process.
