This study focuses on the economic comparison between 12 MWp PV floating and PV on-ground solar farms in an industrial estate in Thailand. The objective is to evaluate the economic feasibility and electricity-produced efficiency of both systems. This study uses models for both power generation systems and collects data on investment and operational costs over a 20-year project lifespan, using a discount rate of 10% and a Time of Use (TOU) electricity rate for medium-sized businesses with a voltage of 22–33 kV, where the peak period rate is 0.113 USD/kWh and the off-peak period rate is 0.07 USD/kWh [1]. The evaluation uses indicators such as NPV, IRR, Payback Period, B/C Ratio, and sensitivity analysis under two scenarios: 1) the investment cost changes by ±5%, while 2) the electricity selling price changes by ±5% every 5 years during peak periods. The study found that the initial investment for PV floating power plants is 8.77 million USD, while PV on-ground power plants require an initial investment of 9.36 million USD. Economic evaluation reveals that PV floating has an NPV of 1.25 million USD > 0, an IRR of 12% > 10%, a payback period of 7.07 years, and a B/C ratio of 1.14 > 1, whereas PV on-ground has an NPV of 0.36 million USD > 0, an IRR of 11%, a payback period of 7.83 years, and a B/C ratio of 1.04> 1. When conducting sensitivity analysis under both scenarios, PV floating meets all criteria, whereas PV on-ground fails to meet the criteria when variables causing a decrease in net profit are applied. As a result, the study concludes that PV floating solar farms are more economically viable than PV on-ground solar farms in Thailand's industrial estates.

Understanding the characteristics of depressed speech can provide insights on aspects to consider when developing biomarkers for automatic depression detection systems. We present the results of a speech intelligibility study that was conducted to assess the intelligibility of the speech of a female and a male subject when they were severely depressed and when they were in remission. Our analysis shows that, in general, the depressed speech is at least as intelligible as in-remission speech. This is further supported by the underlying "simpler" articulatory coordination of depressed speech as derived from the Articulatory Coordination Features. Acoustically, the simpler articulatory coordination means that there is less variability due to coarticulation in the speech signal. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In general, public or private organizations or companies have used information-based technology as a support to improve business performance to be more effective and efficient in order to achieve a company’s business goals. Given the large contribution of information technology in the application of hotel applications as a supporting information system, it is a vital system that must avoid risks that can hinder and cause harm to the hotel management business processes. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out risk management using the COBIT 5 framework to manage possible risks that may occur based on the APO12 (Manage Risk) domain. From the evaluation results of the data obtained through observation and interviews as well as the calculation of the results of the questionnaire based on 6 APO12 subdomains, the results of the risk management level capability assessment in hotel applications are still at level 3 or have reached the level of established process with the target to be achieved at level 4 resulting in a gap of 1 level. Based on the results obtained, it is necessary to propose recommendations that can be used by hotels in improving the application of information technology risk management so that in the future it can achieve the expected target level so that the APO12 level of capability can increase and become more optimal.

This paper introduces an alternative technique for diagnosing Acute Ischemic Stroke within the IoMT environment. In the proposed approach, the collected data is transmitted to a cloud-based center where the technique utilizes EfficientNet, a deep learning model, designed to extract features from MRI images thereby enhancing the detection of acute ischemic infarctions. The performance of EfficientNet is compared against two other models, CNN and MobileNet, demonstrating its superior efficacy through metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, which stand at 92.31%, 92.28%, 92.33%, and 92.30%, respectively.

This article presents a high-resolution programmable-gain incremental delta-sigma (ΔΣ) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) optimized for high-accuracy bridge transducer measurements. The proposed design incorporates a triple-sampling (TRS) technique and an auto-zeroing (AZ) integrator that are effectively combined to suppress DC offset and 1/f noise, reduce input-referred noise (IRN), and improve effective resolution (ER). Implemented using a switched-capacitor (SC) ΔΣ modulator architecture, the proposed ADC provides accurate gain control without the need for additional power-hungry amplifiers. With the AZ-TRS integrator, a low IRN of 1.03 μVRMS is achieved. Furthermore, the ADC demonstrates an integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±4 ppm across all gain settings, with a maximum gain of 13. Additionally, it achieves power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) values of 117.1 dB and 122.0 dB, respectively. The prototype chip was fabricated using a 0.18-μm CMOS process, and the ΔΣ modulator occupies a compact area of 0.34 mm2. The ADC operates with a supply voltage of 3.0 V and a current consumption of 361 μA for the analog circuitry, while the digital filter consumes 36 μA at 1.8 V. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

The spread of Corona Virus Disease 19 (COVID-19) in Indonesia is still relatively high and has not shown a significant decrease. One of the main reasons is due to the lack of supervision on the implementation of health protocols such as wearing masks in daily activities. Recently, state-of-The-Art algorithms were introduced to automate face mask detection. To be more specific, the researchers developed various kinds of architectures for the detection of masks based on computer vision methods. This paper aims to evaluate well-known architectures, namely the ResNet50, VGG11, InceptionV3, EfficientNetB4, and YOLO (You Only Look Once) to recommend the best approach in this specific field. By using the MaskedFace-Net dataset, the experimental results showed that the EfficientNetB4 architecture has better accuracy at 95.77% compared to the YOLOv4 architecture of 93.40%, InceptionV3 of 87.30%, YOLOv3 of 86.35%, ResNet50 of 84.41%, VGG11 of 84.38%, and YOLOv2 of 78.75%, respectively. It should be noted that particularly for YOLO, the model was trained using a collection of MaskedFace-Net images that had been pre-processed and labelled for the task. The model was initially able to train faster with pre-Trained weights from the COCO dataset thanks to transfer learning, resulting in a robust set of features expected for face mask detection and classification. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. Task oriented chatbots are a sub-topic related to chatbots, where chatbots will perform certain tasks with specific goals. One part of creating a task-oriented chatbot is doing intent classification. Intent classification is a task of text classification. As in general text classification, the required dataset requires a label to carry out the classification process. To speed up and help the utterance analysis process, there is already a method, namely clustering, and Density-based clustering is a part of clustering that can determine cluster patterns based on arbitrary data, with DBScan as one of its algorithms. This research used 10000 client utterance data of awhatsapp based e-commerce conversation. SentenceBert also used as a state of art sentence embedding. This research yield silhouette score of 0.327 as the best result from eps of 0.1 and MinPts of 95. However, based on the cluster result, sentences labelled as noise can be further clustered. Text Preprocessing, text augmentation and sentence embedding techniques can be explored to increase the cluster performance.

The emergence of OpenAI's ChatGPT is paying a lot of attention to Generative AI and its impact on Academic integrity. Generative AI is a system designed to generate content or output such as text, image, audio, simulation, video and code based on their respective training data. ChatGPT itself is in the form of a chatbot where users can communicate with AI through dialogue applications via text. GPT 3 API is the technology behind the ChatGPT. However, interaction via text is not as flexible as dialogue using voice. Therefore, speech-to-text technology is needed to interface between the user and the AI. Chatbot AI powered by GPT3 with the optional voice UI powered by Google Text to Speech clearly benefits accessibility and usability. The output of dialogue between human users and AI can be done through text or sound. This research attempts to implement a Text to Speech and vice versa Speech to Text as a User Interface on a Gen-AI using the GPT 3 API so that it will be more user-friendly and accessible. This research opens many possibilities for human-AI interaction (HAX) in implementing virtual assistants. A seamless dialogue between humans and AI will be our goal in the future.

MathReader: Text-to-Speech for Mathematical Documents

TTS (Text-to-Speech) document reader from Microsoft, Adobe, Apple, and OpenAI have been serviced worldwide. They provide relatively good TTS results for general plain text, but sometimes skip contents or provide unsatisfactory results for mathematical expressions. This is because most modern academic papers are written in LaTeX, and when LaTeX formulas are compiled, they are rendered as distinctive text forms within the document. However, traditional TTS document readers output only the text as it is recognized, without considering the mathematical meaning of the formulas. To address this issue, we propose MathReader, which effectively integrates OCR, a fine-tuned T5 model, and TTS. MathReader demonstrated a lower Word Error Rate (WER) than existing TTS document readers, such as Microsoft Edge and Adobe Acrobat, when processing documents containing mathematical formulas. MathReader reduced the WER from 0.510 to 0.281 compared to Microsoft Edge, and from 0.617 to 0.281 compared to Adobe Acrobat. This will significantly contribute to alleviating the inconvenience faced by users who want to listen to documents, especially those who are visually impaired.
