This paper presents a novel design technique for reducing ripple in various sensor read-out integrated circuits (IC) by calibrating the amplifier offset through current control in bias resistors. Traditional methods for reducing ripple often involve complex amplifiers consuming static power. In contrast, the proposed ripple reduction technique employs successive-approximation register (SAR) logic to control the current flowing through the bias resistor, thus minimizing static power consumption. Experimental results obtained through simulations in a 28 nm CMOS process demonstrate significant ripple reduction to 8.94 μVpp from 2 mVpp. This approach is suitable for low-power design, particularly in wearable device applications, and can potentially extend to other amplifier configurations utilizing chopping technique. © 2024 IEEE.

SCADA systems are used for real-time monitoring of key systems and the status of critical assets in both transmission and distribution networks. The trend towards different types of"new" loads and sources such as photovoltaic (PV), electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and battery storage systems is changing the operational approach of distribution grids. Well-known fit-and-forget philosophy is being replaced and requires more operational activities and more thorough monitoring of end devices in new active distribution networks (ADNs). In this paper, a permissioned blockchain-based monitoring framework for distribution networks hosting different types of distributed energy resources (DERs) is presented. The proposed tool operates independently of the SCADA system while it can utilise SCADA measurements for anomaly and fraud detection. In addition, seamless integration and visibility is facilitated by the flow of information between DERs and the distribution system operator through adapters between the blockchain network and the main protocols used for smart metering, inverter management and EV charging stations. The coordinated use of SCADA and the proposed framework will provide a redundant set of observations that will contribute to unbiased state estimation and successful anomaly detection. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.

Concerns about global warming brought on by increasing carbon dioxide levels in the environment have sped up technological development in the sustainable energy sector over the past few years. The advancement in science while the shift to less polluting materials sources possesses increased the appeal for DG, subsequent generations distributed generation, using renewable supplies. Nevertheless, it has become widely recognized that increasing DG entry can negatively affect the matrix's layout and operations. This paper introduces a reconfigurable dipole antenna designed using bistable composite cylindrical shells. The proposed antenna is composed of a printed feed diploe and a parasitic strip, utilizing a balanced microstrip line for feeding. The dielectric substrate consists of bistable anti-symmetric cylindrical shells made of glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP), enabling two distinct operating states. In different states, the antenna can operate under different WiFi bands, including the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz. Additionally, the radiation patterns can switch between omnidirectional and directional modes depending on the state. © 2024 IEEE.

In India, 12% of wild animals are threatened with extinction, and human activity threatens more than 80% of East and Southeast Asia's wetlands. Every year, an estimated 400 people are killed by wildlife in India, with Maharashtra alone seeing 88 human deaths and 9258 cattle killings by tigers in 2020. The ECO-Guard is an intelligent device which uses the You Only Look Once (YOLO) model and various sensors and machine learning models with algorithms that support and promote forest monitoring and tourist guidance in forest areas addressing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12 (Life on Land). The paper presents a linear chain-like mesh of devices speeded across bio-area which are used in correlation for intended surveillance. Each device can multimodule apps and tally their sightings automatically to analyze coherence of the situation with the forest rangers, organizations, and figures. It catches from the information, the ill substitutes like human spotting with beasts. It suggests that the advice can be further put into practice by constantly monitoring any closeness of alternatives that match to create an unfavorable combination. Also having to help detect many forest crimes, some including illegal logging, preventing, and deforestation on a large scale. This paper highlights a novel ECO-Guard, an intelligent and autonomous monitoring system which includes artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced strategies and algorithms to conserve wildlife and forest ecosystems by integrating various hardware and software components. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The surviving on present literature focusing the design of resonant converter to work on various drives. In this literature, the PI controller is subjected to perform co-ordinates with resonant converter with DC input voltage of 55V for 80ohms nominal load. The designed resonant converter is exposed to both line and load side disturbances. The time domain specification (TDS) of proposed resonant converter is observed. The positive and effective feedback is come from PI controller combining with proposed resonant converter than the common designed converter. The time domain provisions like Delay time, Rise time, Peak time, Peak Overshoot and Settling time of PI controller co-ordinates with proposed resonant converter is basically effective than resonant converter working alone. © 2023 IEEE.

This study presents a novel solution in the form of a solar-powered water trash collector, designed specifically for deployment in backwaters and smaller water bodies, to address the critical issues of water pollution and waste management. Focusing on the challenges faced by national rivers, including hazardous polymers, plastic waste, and decaying organic matter, the collector operates under IoT-enabled Bluetooth control using mobile application, incorporating a conveyor belt mechanism for efficient waste collection, particularly targeting prevalent plastic debris in freshwater environments. A notable feature of this solution is its integration of solar power, ensuring self-sustained operation and reduced environmental impact, aligning with the imperative for eco-friendly waste management technologies. Bluetooth control enhances adaptability for smaller water bodies, crucial for precise navigation. The core objective is to provide an effective solar-powered water trash collector tailored for backwaters, addressing the escalating waste production due to population growth. Additionally, a comprehensive waste management approach is proposed, facilitated by an Android application for seamless navigation of integrated trash bins. In conclusion, this study offers an innovative approach to tackle water pollution and waste management, introducing a solar-powered collector uniquely equipped to address backwater ecosystems’ specific challenges while promoting sustainability and environmental well-being. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Conventional integration of Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) system with electric motor drive system seems not to be a desirable solution in some aspects like reliability, economic, sizing and numbers of power conversion. This is because of using two independent sets of switching converters at the primary and secondary side of WPT system as well as isolating DC link between these two systems. The primary sets act as high-frequency amplifier and the secondary one converts the induced power to low frequency one to feed the motor. These drawbacks will be more dominant even in three-phases motor drive applications. In this paper, a modified nine-switches topology is proposed in the secondary side of WPT system which is using high-frequency AC link voltage and converting it directly to three-phases low-frequency one to supply three-phases motor. This is carried out without using any rectification circuit and DC link as interface. Despite the lower cost of this system, it is also capable of direct drive of the motor from the primary side of WPT system. Unlike the conventional topology, the topology proposed in this paper has less switches as well as lower voltage oscillation with the same performance. Some quantified comparisons have been done in both theory and simulation which shows the superiority of the proposed system. © 2023 IEEE.

This article demonstrates the charging of electric vehicle system with the support of DC-DC converter and DC motor. The charging of electric vehicle is one of the issues which has been addressed in the article. The poor state of charge and improper voltage profile are the few challenges with the charging system. The proposed system consists of DC-DC converter between DC voltage source and DC motor and switching and controlling of DC-DC converter has been fuzzy logic controller and vector control. It is observed that least voltage deviation and improved SOC has been attained with FLC in comparison to vector control under the half and full load condition. © 2024 IEEE.

The trend in renewable energy calls for safe peer-to-peer(P2P)energy trading in a microgrid. Blockchain technology (BCT) addresses this by providing a secure, tamper-proof ledger that enables transparent and sustainable energy exchange. This paper explores how smart contracts can make energy trading more efficient for microgrid users while securely recording all transactions for easy verification. The architecture designed for these smart contracts ensures reliable mechanisms such as simultaneous submission of bids, user registration, order placement and sorting, and automatic execution of the trading system. The proposed smart contract-based energy trading system improves energy efficiency and flexibility while supporting decentralized control within the microgrid. BCT directly contributes to the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) by promoting this technology, increasing renewable energy in the global energy mix, and improving energy efficiency. Furthermore, BCT supports SDG 9 by creating a resilient and sustainable infrastructure through technological innovation. This paper provides a detailed analysis of the P2P trading scenario, smart contract pseudocode, and visualization of the smart contract implementation in Solidity, aiming to navigate the real-world application of P2P energy markets. © 2024 IEEE.
