Building-Integrated Photovoltaic(BIPV)on vertical façades is a potential PV application in today’s *** performance of BIPV on façades is significantly influenced by the façade *** tropical cities,the optimum façade orientation,in terms of maximum energy yield and daylight performance,cannot be simply determined,due to relatively symmetrical sun path throughout the *** study therefore aims to determine the optimum orientation for BIPV on tropical building faç*** achieve the objective,experiment,modelling,and computational simulation are conducted to evaluate the BIPV energy yield and to predict the indoor daylight performance in a scale-model building with a 105Wp monocrystalline silicon PV,facing each cardinal orienta-tion in Bandung,*** South orientation yields practically zero ASE_(1000,250),providing the best annual daylight performance,and yielding the most desirable value in four out of five daylight *** greatest annual energy yield is at the North orientation,providing 179-186 kWh(95%prediction interval)per year,but with larger uncertainty compared to that at the South,due to direct sunlight *** on three different objective functions,the South orientation is considered optimum for placing the BIPV panel on the prototype façade in the location.

At present, ad hoc networks are getting a lot of attention, because they have many features that differ from the rest of the networks and because they are technically advanced. In routing protocols, the Vehicular Ad-hoc network (VANET) differ in performance because each protocol has different variables, such as variable density, speed, and traffic scenarios. In this work, we proposed topology-based routing namely Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV) protocol. The AODV protocol has been simulated in case of the movement of vehicles at a fixed velocity at 60km/h, and in case of randomly changing the vehicle's locations in the network. There are three parameters used to investigate the performance of the proposed AODV protocol which are packet delivery ratio, and overheads. The Simulation results show a significant decrease from 0.55 to 0.82 in the packet delivery ratio. On the other hand, the performance of the AODV protocol demonstrates effective communication for the VANETs. © 2023 IEEE.

Multi-element oxide-based nanofillers often possess favorable properties over single metal oxide-based nanofillers. In the current work, the effects of untreated calcium zirconate (CaZrO3) nanofiller on the thermal and breakdown behaviors of polyethylene (PE) nanocomposites were investigated. PE nanocomposites containing 0.5 wt%, 1 wt% and 3 wt% of untreated CaZrO3 nanofiller were prepared using a Brabender melt mixer. Thin-film samples with thickness 100 μm were melt-pressed at 170 °C using a hydraulic hot press. The melting behaviors of prepared samples were characterized using the differential scanning calorimetry. Meanwhile, breakdown testing was performed to analyze the dielectric strength of the samples. The results indicated that the addition of higher amounts of CaZrO3 lowered the breakdown strength of the resulting PE nanocomposites. The breakdown result would serve as a reference for future characterization of the dielectric properties of PE nanocomposites containing treated CaZrO3 nanofiller. © 2024 IEEE.

Tin electronucleation and growth from Sn(II) in nonaqueous solutions based on ethylene glycol: Electrochemical behavior and temperature effect

Thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of tin electronucleation and growth processes onto a glassy carbon electrode from SnCl2·2H2O dissolved in ethylene glycol solutions were studied. Typical reduction and oxidation peaks observed in voltammograms have demonstrated the capability of ethylene glycol solutions to electrodeposit Sn. The temperature-dependence of diffusion coefficient values derived from potentiodynamic and potentiostatic studies helped to determine and validate estimations of the activation energy for Sn(II) bulk diffusion. Chronoamperometric results have identified that， the suitable model to describe the early stage of Sn electrodeposition could be composed of Sn three-dimensional nucleation and diffusion-controlled growth and water reduction contributions， which was duly validated by theoretical and experimental approaches. From the model， typical kinetic parameters such as nucleation frequency， A， number density of tin nuclei， N0， and D， were determined. The presence of tin nuclei with excellent quality and their structure were verified using SEM， EDX， and XRD techniques.

Job shop scheduling methods are among the earliest optimization techniques that have been well-studied since 1950s. This fact reflects the prevalence of job shop scheduling problems in our daily lives, and hence, the importance of methods and tools needed to solve them. Human civilization has been evolving rapidly in the last several decades, presenting more difficult scheduling problems and the need to solve them efficiently. This article assesses the existing problems and optimization techniques in job shop scheduling. Furthermore, current and future challenges in this area are highlighted. © 2024 IEEE.

Hemoglobin measurement has significantly evolved with the integration of IoT and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This paper presents the evolution of non-invasive hemoglobin measurement using IoT and AI-based optical sensors. IoT and AI-based optical sensors have revolutionized the field of hemoglobin quantification, allowing us to measure this important biomarker in a way that isn't invasive or difficult to handle. The use of optical sensing technology, along with IoT frameworks and AI methods, has improved the accuracy and usefulness of hemoglobin tests, showing a promising way to improve healthcare outcomes. However, challenges remain in the field of non-invasive hemoglobin measurement, such as precision constraints, data security, and privacy safeguards. Despite these challenges, the future landscape of non-invasive hemoglobin measurement leveraging IoT and AI-powered optical sensors appears poised to transform healthcare delivery significantly. Together, IoT and AI-based optical sensors have the potential to revolutionize healthcare monitoring and diagnosis. © 2024 IEEE.

The number of Islamic boarding school teaching both Information Technology (IT) Education and Religious Education is still limited. Vocational High School of Information Technology Annajiyah located in Tambakberas, Jombang, East Java is a school having both subjects taught. The existence of Vocational High School of Information Technology Annajiyah has not been widely known by outside and inside society of Jombang Regency. Therefore, Therefore, analysis of the use of SEO is necessary to determine the potential of website visit and school promotion. Previously, Vocational High School of Information Technology Annajiyah promoted school by using brochures only. This method was considered able to introduce the school through traditional way. Analysis result of improving SEO can be seen in Google Analytic recorded a number of site visits amounted 403 in June, where 82.2% of active users are dominated by mobile phone users and fluctuation of the number of visits. This increase is affected by both the implementation of SEO and online PPDB process during the COVID pandemic. © 2021 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Early detection of heart rate conditions in autistic children is crucial for anticipating tantrum reactions and providing prompt medical intervention. Previous research designed a prototype for acquiring Electrocardiogram (ECG) signals using the AD8232 sensor, but it required a long time to identify heart rate conditions. This study aims to develop the previous prototype using Internet of Things (IoT) implementation to acquire and identify the heart rate conditions of autistic children in real time. The ECG signal data is analyzed using Butterworth Filter and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) integrated into Raspberry Pi and results are transmitted to the Blynk App. Testing over 20 minutes showed that in the first 10 minutes, the system identified a normal heart rate at 105.19 BPM with 67% accuracy, while in the second 10 minutes, the heart rate rose to 117.19 BPM with tantrum symptoms and 75% accuracy. This system helps medical personnel provide immediate intervention during tantrums.

This article presents the development and implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT) based Smart Controlled Poultry Farm Management System to enhance the efficiency and welfare of day-old chicks. The system prototype employs a DS18B20 temperature sensor and a microcontroller to automatically monitor and regulate the temperature, feeding, and drinking processes within the cage. Additionally, a web platform is provided for real-time condition monitoring informing the owner of any problems that may occurred. Temperature within the cage is maintained in the range of 30°C to 35°C with a measurement error rate of ±1°C. This temperature range is controlled by switching the fan on and off, as well as opening and closing the curtain. Experimental results indicate that the system has the potential to improve the efficiency of maintaining optimal chick weight and temperature, as well as ensuring consistent feeding times, all of which are crucial for sustainable poultry production. These parameters were monitored over a period of 21 days.

This work deals with optimization problems in the field of audio signals with particular emphasis on recognizing guitar chords. As an extension to the previous works done in this field, the primary goal was to minimize the feature extraction length without loss of recognition performance. In this case, this work used two such well known methods in audio signal processing as the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). This method is based on the iterative analysis of three main system attributes: the frame blocking length; the choice of wavelet functions; and the DWT coefficient selection offset. After careful tuning of these parameters, this work was able to optimize the feature extraction length to only three, which however represents a modest improvement on the previous works in this field. The system developed in this research obtained recognition accuracy of up to 91.43% when the optimized feature extraction length was employed. The significance of this study extends to the non-conventional applications of guitar chord recognition. Shortening the feature extraction length is expected to improve more usages in the different applications of the music technology.
