Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that can attack the lungs and other organs. In the diagnosis of TB, the interpretation of X-ray radiological images requires special skills from medical specialists. However, the lack of experience of medical personnel and focus on X-ray examinations can be a challenge for radiologists because it has the potential to cause diagnostic errors in image interpretation. Therefore, we proposed a web-based application of real-time chest X-ray interpreter by integrating the deep learning model of Vision Transformer (ViT) to interpret chest X-ray images. The inference model was trained and tested on 652 normal and 652 tuberculosis X-ray images. The data preprocessing of Contrast Adaptive Histogram Equalization (CLAHE) was implemented to increase chest X-ray image contrast as well as inference model performance. The proposed real time system can inteprete the tested chest x-ray images with an accuracy of 95% and with simulation duration time of 4.7 seconds.

FFT, as the key concept in the OFDM system, produces a high PAPR value. Several techniques can be implemented to reduce it, such as the Palm Date Leaf clipping and the Partial Transmit Sequence. Previous researchers have evaluated each technique individually. This paper proposes to evaluate the PAPR value as the effect of combining the Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS) with the Palm Date Leaf (PDL) clipping technique. The evaluation is done with several modulation techniques, such as QPSK, 8-PSK, 16-PSK, 8-QAM, and 16-QAM. Since low PAPR performance is not advantageous if the signal's BER value worsens, thus the evaluation also considers the BER performance. In this case, the Authors focus on the BER performance over the AWGN channel. The result shows that in all of the scenarios, the PTS technique could improve the signal's BER and PAPR performance for low CR values such as 5 dB and 7 dB. Additionally, for higher CR values such as 10 dB and 20 dB, the BER performance is similar to the normal OFDM signal. Even so, it provides a consistent PAPR reduction of approximately 3 dB. Do note that the PAPR is evaluated at CCDF of 10-3. This way, the PTS technique always provides an improvement in signal BER performance. As for the PAPR performance, the PTS technique can improve all cases except for 8-QAM and 16-QAM signals with clipping technique at low clipping ratio such as 5 dB. However, the PTS technique still requires Side Information (SI), and it has high computational complexity. © 2021 IEEE.

In the current digital era, virtual reality (VR) technology is rapidly expanding across various fields, including education and cultural preservation. This technology offers immersive opportunities to explore and experience architectural spaces, promising increased understanding and learning motivation. Despite being relatively new in Indonesia, the application of VR has shown significant potential for education and cultural preservation through the implementation of a 3D virtual tour in Kampung Adat Pulo Garut. Therefore, this research aimed to develop VR media to enhance users' spatial experience and preserve the cultural values of Kampung Adat Pulo Garut through interactive learning. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) through the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model. The equipment used was LiDAR Scanner FJD Trion P1 Series, DJI Mavic Air 2S Drone, and Sony A6000 Camera. The method used included aerial and terrestrial mapping, 3D modeling, and the development of virtual environments through Unreal Engine. The developmental process included various stages, namely concept, design, material collection, compilation, testing, and distribution. The result showed an interactive 3D virtual tour of Kampung Adat Pulo Garut, called “Echoes of Tradition.” Unreal Engine was found to enable detailed visualization of traditional architecture and village environments with high accuracy and interactivity. The final product offered an immersive learning experience, enriching users' experience, and enabling digital preservation of cultural heritage. The next step, to get an overview of the research results, used a questionnaire as an instrument which was distributed to a total of 250 respondents. Furthermore, the potential implication of VR in education and cultural preservation was identified, guiding similar applications in the future. Biomass gasification converts into syngas through the gasification process is promising for renewable energy utilization. Although gasification is a sustainable and environmentally-friendly technology for value-added utilization of biomass, yield percentage is the major problem during biomass gasification. An optimized gasifier and highly active catalyst were proved to be effective for biomass production. Furthermore, the decomposition pathway was also important to advance the gasification reactors and catalyst design. This paper summarized the fundamentals, such as gasifier types, zeolite catalysts, and reaction and deactivation mechanisms. This review also sheds light on other excellent catalysts, effective gasifier, and catalyst reaction mechanisms are also discussed in detail. At last, the paper ends with a conclusion and a prospective discussion of the lab-scale research. At the contact time of 240 minutes, with a column height of 30 cm, at a temperature of 450 oC, the concentration of syngas promise well. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The synthesis of graphitic carbon nanostructures from cellulose extraction of durian peel waste has been successfully carried out in this study. This study aim to produce the graphitic carbon nanostructures to give innovative solutions to the renewable energy storage challenge. Durian peel cellulose was synthesized into graphitic carbon nanostructures through catalytic graphitization method. 4.8 grams of durian peel cellulose was hydrocharred at 200°C for 4 hours, then impregnated using Fe(NO3).9H2O and ethanol for 90 minutes. The sample was then precipitated for 12 hours and dried at 60°C. The sample was pyrolysed at 900°C for 3 hours. Characterization was carried out using TEM and XRD. Characterization TEM showed the morphological characteristics of graphitic carbon nanostructures in the form of coils in uneven amounts with the avarage diameter size is 24.9134 nm. In addition, the XRD characterization results also strengthen the characteristic phase of graphitic carbon nanostructures at 2θ 26.5° and 44.7°, although nanoparticles from Fe catalysis are visible in the sample due to the absence of reflux. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This article explores the development and implementation of futuristic bins with automated waste sortation systems to address improper and mixed waste disposal challenges. Despite the existence of categorized waste bins, individuals often dispose of waste improperly, hindering the sorting and decomposition processes. Integrating advanced technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), futuristic bins offer innovative solutions. Futuristic bins with automated sorting systems facilitate accurate waste sorting, reduce mixing, and optimize waste disposal. These bins increase efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize collection routes while promoting environmental cleanliness and awareness of waste management. The article describes the research methodology, including preliminary study, specification requirements analysis, prototype development, and testing. The results demonstrate the implemented system's accuracy and real-time object detection capabilities. The study also acknowledges limitations and suggests future research directions, including improving communication between object detection algorithms and microcontrollers. Overall, the development of futuristic bins with automated waste sortation systems represents a significant advancement in waste management, with the potential to revolutionize waste management systems and create sustainable cities and communities.

ChatGPT has generated significant interest and discussion within the academic community since its initial introduction. This study aims to investigate the students’ intentions to use ChatGPT for educational purposes in higher education. A proposed conceptual model based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology model-2 (UTAUT2) was employed in this current study. A total of 575 data obtained from a questionnaire survey of higher education students were analyzed using partial least square-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of the hypothesis testing revealed that both cognitive attitude and emotional attitude have a significant influence on the intention to use ChatGPT. The cognitive attitude was influenced by performance expectancy and effort expectancy. Affective attitudes were shaped by factors such as novelty value, performance expectancy, hedonic motivation, and effort expectancy.

This article presents the development of electric motor torque meter using microcontroller together with dynamometer process and application of light process to find out revolutions per minute (RPM) which torque is a variable that affects the effectiveness of electrical machine. A torque meter is, therefore, a tool that has an important role to work with mechanical part. The torque meter and RPM was tested and found that there is an error of torque measure at 13.74 percent and found that the torque has higher errors when it exceeds 2 N-m and there is an error of RPM at 5.36 percent.

This research is motivated by the development of education in the 21st-century, which demands students to master the 4C skills (creative thinking, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication), particularly in the field of physics. The nature of physics learning requires active and interactive teaching methods that can be implemented through project-based activities for students. One effective instructional media is the student worksheet designed based on STEM-PjBL (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics project-based learning) principles. This research aims to assess the suitability of STEM-PjBL student worksheets as a learning media, which can serve as a recommendation to assist teachers in teaching renewable energy topics. This study uses the ADDIE model to adopt the Research and Development (R&D) method. This research results in a STEM-PjBL student worksheet as a physics learning media to understand renewable energy topics. The loading and unloading activities of container ships at the Tanjung Perak Port is imperative, as they can be carried out quickly and efficiently. These ships tend to have a high frequency of visits and possess the largest gross tonnage among ships used for the transportation of goods. The occurrence of an accident involving a container ship can have a detrimental effect on the seamless delivery of goods via sea transportation. Furthermore, the crew be adequately prepared in order to mitigate the risk. As evidenced by research on safety behaviour have not taken preparedness as a factor into consideration when addressing emergencies. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of safety knowledge, motivation, and awareness on safety behaviour in dealing with emergencies on container ships in accordance with relevant regulations. A total of 180 ship crew members served as respondents and it analysed using SEM-PLS. The results showed that preparedness, including safety procedures, emergency training, and crew security culture is an important aspect in dealing with emergencies. Furthermore, this study obtained an R square value of 0.525 in the structural model, indicating that the independent variables have an influence on behaviour, and it was classified in the good category. © 2023 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
