Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a part of the practical courses in educational institutions. This research was aimed at investigating: (1) students' knowledge of OSH used in practical courses, (2) students' attitudes toward OSH, and (3) the implementation of OSH in practical courses in the Electronics engineering Education study program, faculty of engineering, Yogyakarta State University. It is a non-experimental study employing a quantitative descriptive approach. This study was conducted in the Electronics engineering Education study program, faculty of engineering, Yogyakarta State University from February to June 2018. The subject of this study included students, lecturers, and technicians. Students' knowledge of OSH in practical courses in the Electronics study program is good (74.2%). Their attitudes toward OSH are also good (92.2%). Although some students do not implement OSH procedures when conducting practical courses, the implementation of OSH in the study program is categorized good (63.3%). Furthermore, more intensive studies on the importance OSH implementation in practical courses needs to done. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The challenge of distributing climacteric fruit is quality assurance due to the long-distance and perishability nature of the fruit. While monitoring transportation conditions is common, little research has developed a prediction model of fruit quality affected by transportation conditions. The presented study designs a quality monitoring system for mango's long-distance supply chain by integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning. The system modeling utilizes Business Process Model and Notation and a Use Case Diagram based on requirement analysis. The design of IoT architecture addresses the needs of the supply chain actors to monitor the transportation process and predict the final quality of mango upon arrival. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) predicts mango grade classification upon arrival. The dataset consists of initial (harvest) maturity level and transportation conditions as predictor variables and mango final grade as the target variable. The accuracy of the prediction model reaches more than 95%. The verification and validation of the system with traceability technique on the user's requirements confirm the fulfillment of each requirement's input, tasks, and output. This conceptual design presents IoT and machine learning as promising solutions to quality assurance problems in the global fresh produce supply chain. © 2022 IEEE.

Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) are bioelectrochemical instruments that exploit living microbes as biocatalysts for the conversion of chemical energy stored in the bonds of substrates into electrical energy. Monitoring of current or voltage generation in microbial fuel cells at rigid time intervals is noteworthy. Unfortunately, bioelectrochemical studies are often constrained due to the need for expensive and precise devices for electrochemical measurements. Utilization of low-cost microcontroller as monitoring system can be a considerable solution, compared with data logger that is a high-cost device, or compared with commercial multimeter that have to be used manually in collecting data. In this present work, microbial fuel cells electricity generation was successfully online monitored and the voltage data was also successfully collected using an ESP32 based-data logger. Statistically, there was no significant difference between ESP32 and multimeter in voltage reading, and the average of absolute and relative error values were 0.85 mV and 2.72%, respectively. It suggested that ESP32 could be a possible and low-cost monitoring system for microbial fuel cells bioelectricity generation. Additionally, ADS1115 (an external analogue to digital converter interface to ESP32) has up to four analogue channels, whereas multimeter has just one. In this research, microbial fuel cell powered by isolate KCf1 generated highest voltage value of 789 mV and power density of 541 mW m⁻². © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Iranian Society of Environmentalists (IRSEN) and Science and Research Branch, Islamic Azad University 2023.

The power transformer is the most important element of equipment in an electrical transmission and distribution network. The power and voltage levels that these transformers can manage determine their size, and as the transformer's volume increases, internal isolation and cooling become more challenging. The most popular insulating fluid used in transformers for insulation and cooling is mineral-based oil, which has demonstrated exceptional dielectric and thermal qualities. However, alternative oil technologies have been sought to replace mineral-based oils in recent years because to concerns about safety, cost, and environmental impact. In this context, extensive research efforts have emerged on biological oils for use in transformers. This paper examines the sustainability, safety, and electrical performance of bio-based ester oil in transformer applications with respect to dissolved gas analysis (DGA). AI-based Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) with Duval's triangle (DT) and Duval's pentagon (DP), IEC, CIGRE reports are used in a hybrid manner to identify the possible incipient faults inside the oil-immersed transformers. The graphical analysis of various fuzzy logic plots along with DT and DP are utilized to critically analyze the possible incipient faults arrayed due to DGA. The proposed work proficient compared to previously published results. Highest efficiency of DT and DP based FLC (92%), followed by furan analysis (82.3%). Lastly, recommendations are made on potential fixes for the problems raised and the future course of study for alternate dielectric fluids-based power transformers. The suggested techniques in this research offer a higher diagnostic accuracy than the present approach.

Currently, many patients visit hospitals to check for bodily abnormalities, prompting hospitals to operate blood specimen analyzers (Cobas-8000) in laboratories to accommodate blood samples at all times. However, the number of patients is not consistently high, leading to inefficient usage of the chemical analysis machines. This research presents energy management for the Cobas-8000 model C702 blood specimen analyzer by scheduling the machine's operation to match the volume of blood samples, thereby reducing operational costs. These costs include electricity usage and the depreciation of the analyzer equipment. The research categorizes conditions based on the number of blood tests sent for analysis and the operational status of the analyzer, which includes Full Operation Mode, Standby Mode, and Off Mode, considering two situations before and after implementing the proposed method. Previously, the results indicate that the energy consumption of the blood specimen analyzer does not correspond to the volume of blood samples, resulting in unnecessary depreciation costs. By introducing the proposed scheduling, divided into six case studies, it is demonstrated that energy consumption and equipment depreciation can be significantly reduced, achieving a total cost reduction of 47.95%-59.71 % per year compared to the existing continuous full operation mode.

Artificial intelligence was recently implemented in various fields. One of these applied artificial intelligence systems was the Performance Monitoring System “SiMoniK” for MSMEs. This system was designed through the C4.5 algorithm and the Porat-Rank method. The C4.5 algorithm was applied to classify the MSMEs into three classifications, e.g. the micro enterprise classification, the small enterprise classification, and the medium enterprise classification. Moreover, the Porat-Rank method was also applied to distribute the solving-problem recommendations and to improve the independence of MSMEs. The result of this study was that the C4.5 algorithm could classify the MSME data correctly in the form of an accuracy value of 99.2%. Besides, the Porat-Rank method could also provide recommendations in the form of outstanding quality with an NDCG mean value of 0.87.

In this research, the Human Following Robot (HFR) prototype has been designed and implemented using YOLO v3-Tiny and Tensor Flow Lite on Raspberry Pi hardware named Rewang. The HFR Rewang is designed to assist aircraft technicians by bringing maintenance tool kits to aircraft shelters. Rewang's movement is based on a camera as a vision sensor following the movement of human entities. Image input is processed by YOLO v3-Tiny through the determination of the bounding box, the calculation of Euclidean Distance, and the determination of the pixel value of the camera as the basis of Rewang's movement which is regulated by an L298N driver motor that controls two Direct Current (DC) motors for the left and right wheels. The test results show that Rewang can move at an average speed of 0.18 m/s at 2 m with a travel time of 11 seconds with a light intensity of more than 250 lux. The minimum and maximum distance of object detection is as far as 120 cm and 400 cm, with an object detection accuracy of 95.8%. Rewang allows the HFR to have a larger carrying capacity to bring more complete aircraft maintenance tools and is prospective for other aerospace and general applications.

Natural Language Interface to Database (NLIDB) is a solution that allows users to retrieve data from databases in natural language. Various studies were conducted to translate Indonesian sentences into database queries, but these studies still have weaknesses. In this study, we propose the translation of interrogative sentences in the temporal database accompanied by the addition of several components that can improve the ability of NLIDB. The translation process is carried out by first masking the input sentence and decomposing the sentence into a collection of syntax trees. Then, the existing parsing tree is selected and the best parsing tree will be selected. Then, the process is continued with the analysis of the query components in the interrogative sentences. The results of the analysis will be translated into parts of database query and parts of database query will be rearranged into database queries. This query will be executed and the result can be evaluated by the user and the user can provide feedback according to the system output. The built NLIDB system can translate interrogative sentences for what, who, when, where, how, if, and how many questions with the types of queries that can be handled are current state, time-slice, sequenced, and non-sequenced. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper presents a novel high voltage pulse power generator layout that is well suited to dielectric barrier discharge applications. To reach the higher gain, a push-pull circuit with a three-winding transformer is used on the charging side, along with quasi-resonant between the transformer leakage inductance and the capacitor on the high-voltage section. The primary side's two windings and two low voltage switches allow the gadget to generate either unipolar or bipolar high voltage exponential pulses from an approximately low DC source. Instead of a bidirectional switch, a magnet one is employed since it eliminates the concerns of series and parallel connections of semiconductor switches in high voltage side, resulting in a low degree of switching complexity. Hence, In addition to accomplishing the high gain objective, the effort focuses on lowering the number of circuit elements and control complexity in contrast to previous topologies. The generator operates in discontinuous conduction mode, which improves the system efficiency by allowing for the generation of full positive and/or negative waves while it also reduces the conduction losses. The operation phases of the pulse generator are detailed. It is found from the simulation results that the proposed pulse generator outperforms the previous structures in terms of control complexity, number of switches, and flexibility. © 2022 IEEE.
