Conservation of Underground Water with the Ecosystem Approach to the Development of the New Towns in Bogor, Tangerang, Bekasi (Botabek) Region

The limited supply of clean water led to some residents in the city, as well as business and trade areas using underground water. Optimization of land used in the development of new towns and expanded impervious land surface, thus reducing infiltration capacity, resulting in an increased volume of runoff. The use of underground water and the reduced infiltration of rainwater resulted in a decrease in the underground water table. To maintain the underground water table and preventing land subsidence resulted from the use of underground water as raw material for clean water. The effort required is how doing underground water conservation. This paper discusses the development of new towns to assess the natural landscape as underground water conservation efforts on the development of the new town. The research method uses a quantitative approach to calculate the potential runoff using a soil conservation service, while to analyze the trend of changes in land cover using temporal spatial analysis, using descriptive analysis. The data used satellite imagery. The study found open green spaces, water bodies, and infrastructure in the form of green corridors can reduce runoff and maintain the underground water table.

The global network of gravitational-wave observatories now includes five detectors, namely LIGO Hanford, LIGO Livingston, Virgo, KAGRA, and GEO 600. These detectors collected data during their third observing run, O3, composed of three phases: O3a starting in 2019 April and lasting six months, O3b starting in 2019 November and lasting five months, and O3GK starting in 2020 April and lasting two weeks. In this paper we describe these data and various other science products that can be freely accessed through the Gravitational Wave Open science Center at https://***. The main data set, consisting of the gravitational-wave strain time series that contains the astrophysical signals, is released together with supporting data useful for their analysis and documentation, tutorials, as well as analysis software packages. © 2023. Water absorption and its effect on the tensile properties of tapioca starch/polyvinyl alcohol bioplastics

Tapioca is one of the largest sources of starch and makes it suitable to be used for bioplastic material. Addition of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) has been shown to successfully reduce the brittleness of starch bioplastic. This study aims to investigate the influence of PVA addition to water absorption behavior and its effect on the tensile properties of tapioca starch/PVA bioplastics, which are still not yet fully understood until now. The bioplastics were prepared by solution casting method at gelatinization temperature, with PVA addition from 0 to 29 wt%. Examinations were carried out by means of water absorption test, tensile test and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy. Increasing content of PVA, up to 29 wt%, was found to decrease the water absorption of the bioplastics, with the lowest water saturation point of 251%. This is due to the interaction between starch and PVA which reduces the free OH groups in the resulting bioplastics. Consequently, this led to a decrease in water absorption-related deterioration, i.e. tensile properties degradation of the bioplastics. The addition of 29 wt% resulted into the lowest degradation in tensile strength (6%) and stiffness (30%), while accompanied with the highest elongation increase (39%) after water immersion.

The learners' needs are an important factor in designing syllabus and materials design, this research deals with the syllabus and material design based on the professional's needs. It is expected that the syllabus and materials designes are communicatively applicable to the professional academy. Descriptive method is applied in this research. The sample of this research is 30 students of ATII Immanuel Academy Medan. They were selected by random sampling to get the data, the questioners were administered to students. the questioners consisted of 54 items and the semi structured interview consisted of 5 questions, the finding indicated that learners' needs were focused on reading and speaking skills. With reference appropriately and proportionally derived for students of the Professional Academy. Further on the basis of the syllabus, materials are designed in which the skills of using language become a priority. The results of this research will be disseminated using the website

Contribution of student involvement in production/service unit and experience of industry practices to entrepreneurial attitude and the impact entrepeneurship readiness of vocational high school students of great Malang

Purpose of this research was to determine the contribution of student involvement in production/ service unit (X1), experience of industry practices (X2), and entrepreneurial attitude (Y) towards readiness entrepreneurship (Z) of vocational student regional Malang. The design of the study using a quantitative approach. The samples used as many as 130 respondents. Instruments used for collecting data in the form of questionnaires. Data analysis included descriptive and test of hypothesis. The result showed: that the description of data on the level of student involvement in production/ service unit, experience of industry practices, entrepreneurial attitude and entrepreneurship readiness in the high category. The contribution student involvement in production/ service unit of entrepreneurial attitude of 10.6%. The contribution experience of industry practices of entrepreneurial attitude of 17.4%. The contribution student involvement in production/ service unit and experience of industry practices simultaneously to entrepreneurial attitude of 44.1%. The contribution student involvement in production/ service unit of readiness entrepreneurship of 4%. The contribution experience of industry practices of readiness entrepreneurship of 5%. The contribution entrepreneurial attitude of readiness entrepreneurship of 16%. Finally, the contribution student involvement in production/ service unit, experience of industry practices, and entrepreneurial attitude simultaneously to readiness entrepreneurship of 50.3%.

The purpose of this research is to know how influence of mixture of pertamax with Tuak Nias (Tuonifaro) to fuel consumption at 125 cc engine To prove that Tuak Nias or Tuonifaro can be used as fuel mixture on motorcycle and examine how big influence of mix between Tuak Nias or Tuonifaro with Pertamax, conducting research by literature study method or literature study. Many authors use various supporting / input factors and supporting books related to the titles discussed. because Tuak Nias or tuonifaro contain low 4-5% ethanonic elements and contain 90% alcoholic elements so that the fuel easily burns easily in the combustion chamber and produces great power. Development of anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox) for biological nitrogen removal in domestic wastewater treatment (Case study: Surabaya City, Indonesia)

Domestic wastewater effluent is the main contributor to diverse water pollution problems. The contaminants contained in the wastewater lead the low quality of water. The presence of ammonium and nitrate along with phosphorus are potentially cause eutrophication and endanger aquatic life. Excess nutrients, mostly N and P is the main cause of eutrophication which is result in oxygen depletion, biodiversity reduction, fish kills, odor and increased toxicity. Most of the domestic wastewater in Surabaya City still contains nitrogen that exceeded the threshold. The range of ammonium and orthophosphate concentration in the domestic wastewater is between 6.29 mg/L – 38.91 mg/L and 0.44 mg/L – 1.86 mg/L, respectively. An advance biological nitrogen removal process called anammox is a sustainable and cost effective alternative to the basic method of nitrogen removal, such as nitrification and denitrification. Many research have been conducted through anammox and resulted promisingly way to remove nitrogen. In this process, ammonium will be oxidized with nitrite as an electron acceptor to produce nitrogen gas and low nitrate in anoxic condition. Anammox requires less oxygen demand, no needs external carbon source, and low operational cost. Based on its advantages, anammox is possible to apply in domestic wastewater treatment in Surabaya with many further studies.
