Ontology is an organization of knowledge that can represent knowledge in a structured manner. An ontology-based Knowledge Management System is a system that combines elements of knowledge management with the application of ontology as a knowledge base. Meanwhile, knowledge is dynamic and continues to develop all the time, giving rise to new knowledge. Therefore, the ontology must be updated regularly through ontology enrichment to meet adequate knowledge requirements. Ontology enrichment is carried out to ensure that the ontology remains relevant and responsive to developments in its knowledge domain. However, there are no standard stages in implementing enrichment in ontology-based Knowledge Management systems. Therefore, this research conducted a literature review to determine when and how to apply enrichment in ontology development. Data was obtained from related journals in 2018 - 2023. The method used in this research is the Systematic Literature Review method to systematically identify, review, evaluate, and interpret all available research in the area of interest with specific relevant research questions. The research results show that the ontology enrichment procedure generally includes preprocessing stages, relation extraction, and enrichment processes. Ontology enrichment is generally applied during the development of a new ontology as part of the ontology development cycle and on existing ontologies, which are a separate stage from the initial ontology development cycle. Based on these findings, the researcher provides recommendations for researchers who want to use or develop new ontology enrichment methods.

Foreign Exchange market is the world's largest daily currency turnover. Two of the popular currencies Euro and Pound sterling traded against the US Dollar. Since the Russia and Ukraine war started in February 2022, their exchange rates decrease to the lowest rate ever. Even though the general trend is bearish, several daily candles increase for some days making challenges for forex analysts. To solve this problem, classification is applied. The data is labeled downward and upward. By utilizing Linear Kernel and Radial Basis Function (RBF) Kernel-based Support Vector Machines (SVM), the candle direction can be classified and optimized by tuning the Hyperparameters. The accuracy of candle direction classifications are highly improved. After tuning, in general, classification using Linear Models can outperform RBF Models. The best accuracy found on the Pound sterling against US Dollar by using the Linear model is 98.11% and the accuracy becomes 100% on data testing at a ratio of 70:30. Whilst for the Euro against the US Dollar, the best accuracy found the same for both Linear and RBF models on a ratio of 80:20 at 97.53%. However, on data testing, it decreases to 94.51% for Linear Model and 93.41% using RBF Model. The implication of this study is SVM can successfully classify candle direction on pairs in the Forex Market that are affected by a big event that comes for such a long period as long as the hyperparameter is tuned. © 2022 IEEE.

The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies into modern homes has enhanced safety and comfort, particularly in detecting gas leaks, which pose serious fire hazards. Gas leaks can often be detected by smell, but this method fails when no one is present. Previous research using microcontrollers and sensors to detect gas leaks faced challenges with accuracy due to noise interference. This paper proposes the use of a Kalman filter, developed by Rudolf Emil Kalman in 1960, to improve gas leak detection accuracy by filtering out noise. The system comprises an Arduino Nano, ESP8266 WiFi module, MQ-2 gas sensor, buzzer, and ThingSpeak cloud platform. By applying the Kalman filter, noise and data oscillations are reduced, enhancing detection accuracy. Experimental results show the system effectively detects gas leaks, provides real-time data, and triggers alarms. Future improvements could include additional sensors and features to further increase the system’s reliability and functionality.

The issue of dust and smoke resulting from forest fires in northern Thailand. This is caused by people burning the forest to get forest products. Individuals can start forest fires by intentionally burning the forest to extract forest resources. Deforestation negatively affects the well-being of vulnerable patients and has repercussions on public health. The decrease in tourist numbers impacts the economy. Individuals setting fire to the forest to gather forest resources impact government and public sector connections. The education sector has implemented many strategies to educate and mitigate forest fires. There is a fire suppression system. Remove garbage, leaves, and branches that are flammable. However, forest fires remain a concern. Collaboration among three entities in the community can aid in preventing unauthorized forest fires through communal procedures. From multiple ministries, the local organization department, and the central government Collaborating to safeguard Forest fire suppression and afforestation This study is a component of the forest fire surveillance division. If the forest fire's location is not clearly indicated, participating in combined operations will lead to issues because of the overlap in operational responsibilities. Previously, thermal imaging satellites were utilized for coordinate determination. If the satellite completes two orbits each day and identifies a hot location, it initiates a forest fire. Firefighters cannot reach the area to put out forest fires; thus, they need to enter from a nearby, accessible location. Joining the forest fire prevention volunteer organization is challenging and will require approximately 24 to 25 hours. This study aims to conserve energy by utilizing an loT system that transmits peer-to-peer signals. Individuals are prepared to dismantle this system. Border and Inland areas are often faced with communication problems due to limited infrastructure and extreme geographical conditions. This research has produced three APRS-based communication system devices in border and inland areas that can be used to report emergency positions, namely Tracker, Digipeater, and Internet Gateway (IGate). Two APRS testing scenarios were conducted, namely sending beacons from Tracker and Ground Station, and sending beacons from Tracker, Digipeater, and Ground Station. The first scenario test results recorded a maximum distance of 2.36 kilometers (straight line) for sending and receiving information. Meanwhile, the second scenario test results can send and receive information with a maximum distance of 4.21 kilometers (straight line). This result confirms that the range of sending information signals using the digipeater device can expand the range of receiving information up to two times. Based on these results, the second scenario between Tracker, Digipeater, and Ground Station is more effectively used to increase communication coverage in border and inland areas.

Measuring the Complexity of EMG Signal by Using Fuzzy Approximate Entropy in Post-Stroke Patients Rehabilitation

Stroke is one of world’s highest medical cases that cause physical or mental problem, even death. The treatment for overcoming stroke so far was by conducting rehabilitation or therapy. The therapy progress could be seen over the improvement indicated by stroke patients after participation in rehabilitation program. So far, the assessment of the level of development exhibited by stroke patients are still subjective. Meanwhile, Electromyograph (EMG) can be used as a quantitative method to evaluate the patient's improvement. The complexity of the EMG signal could define the progress of a rehabilitation process related to muscle function. One of the methods to calculate the complexity is fuzzy approximate entropy (fApEn). This study aims to propose fApEn as a quantitative method to evaluate the condition of stroke patients by comparing the complexity of the normal EMG, affected, and unaffected side limb of the patient's EMG signal. The value of fApEn on Subject 1 showed that the affected side obtained the complexity of 0.18141 and on the unaffected side of 0.80740. Subject 2 showed the complexity on the affected side of 0.58597 and the unaffected side of 1.02787, whereas the healthy subjects showed the complexity of 2.07856. The statistical results showed that the data were homogeneous and normally distributed. There was a significant difference between the results of fApEn on the affected side and the unaffected side. Thus, fApEn could be used as a quantitative method to determine the condition of muscle activity. © 2021 School of science, IHU. All rights reserved.

Hypertension is a noncommunicable disease (NCD) that causes global concern, high costs and a high number of deaths. Internet of Things, Ubiquitous Computing, and Cloud Computing enable the development of systems for remote and real-time monitoring of patients affected with NCDs like hypertension. This paper reports on a system for monitoring hypertension patients that was built by employing these techniques. This system allows the vital signs of a patient (blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature) to be captured via sensors built in a wearable device similar to a wristwatch. These signals are transmitted to the patient's mobile device for processing, and the generated clinical data are sent to the cloud to be properly presented and analysed by the health professionals responsible for the patient. To deal with semantic interoperability issues that arise when multiple different devices and system components must interoperate, a semantic model was conceived for this system in terms of ontologies for diseases and devices. This paper also presents the semantic module that we developed and implemented in the cloud to perform reasoning based on this model, demonstrating the potential benefits of incorporating semantic technologies in our system. This study aims to investigate the use of artificial intelligence in health education in the last ten years from 2012 to 2022 using the Scopus database. Researchers use bibliometric analysis combined with the quantification method of Vosviewer and Rstudio software used for literature analysis. The results of the article that were flushed showed data such as the year of publication, journal, country, keywords, and authors, to the highest number of citations. The general keywords used by researchers are artificial intelligence, medical, and education. Researchers limit findings through keywords as in the last ten years and English only so that 1681 articles were obtained. According to the study's findings, McGill University affiliation had the greatest number of papers, with 69 pieces, and medicine had a proportion of 39.7% (n = 1067). This bibliometric study will be useful for other researchers to examine the development of research on artificial intelligence in health education in the last ten years. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Comparison between technical parameters recommended by regulatory agencies and relevant institutions for ventilatory therapy equipment used in patients with COVID-19

Background: Patients contaminated with the new coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, and who develop the severe form of the disease require ventilatory support to maintain adequate gas exchange. The objective of this systematic review was to establish reference parameters of ventilator therapy used in the various levels of severity of adult patients affected by COVID-19 to assist health professionals and hospital managers who will purchase this equipment. Methods: It used four databases: Medline, Cochrane Central, Scielo, and Pubmed. Restrictions applied as to the language, restricted to English, and to the patient’s profile, only adults affected by SARS-CoV-2. The review process was carried out by three independent reviewers using the PRISMA-P method. Results: Nineteen articles were included, in addition to the recommendations of the Brazilian Association of Intensive Care Medicine (Brazil), Federal Commission for Protection against Health Risks (Mexico), Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (UK), Pan American Health Organization, and World Health Organization. The types of ventilatory therapies found in the articles eligible for this study were continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), non-invasive ventilation (NIV), and invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV). For each ventilatory therapy, the parameters presented in the article and the recommendations of regulatory agencies and relevant institutions were compared and analyzed. Conclusion: It was possible to suggest a relationship between the respiratory support strategy adopted by the clinical team and the clinical conditions of the patient infected with SARS-CoV-2. The included studies used ventilation modes and parameters within the specifications and recommendations of relevant regulatory agencies and institutions. Heavy metal and microplastic pollutions are prevalent in freshwater ecosystems, with many freshwater bodies being contaminated by one or both of these pollutants. Recent studies reported extreme detections of Cd, Pb and Zn, high concentrations of Cr, Pb and Cu and microplastics acting as vectors of pollutants, including heavy metals. Mayflies can serve as bioindicators of heavy metal contamination in freshwater ecosystems because changes in their community structure, physiology, and behaviour can reflect and help predict the concentrations of metals in these environments. This review discusses the ecological alterations induced by tissue metal concentration in mayflies and other macroinvertebrates. As sensitive taxa to heavy metal contamination, mayflies can reflect the impacts of this pollution through their ethology and relationship to the substrate, highlighting issues such as eutrophication, alterations in community structure, inhibitory effects and sediment toxicity. Mayflies are also highly affected by microplastic exposure, which leads to ingestion, bioaccumulation, biomagnification, habitat and community alteration, behavioural changes, physiology alteration and toxicity. Mayflies bioindication metrics for assessing the impact of heavy metals and microplastics include the examination of community alteration, functional feeding behaviour, molecular structure, dietary and toxicity impacts, bioaccumulation and biomagnification and biomarkers. Current challenges for the utilization of mayflies as bioindicators include temporal variations in sensitivity, lack of universally recognised protocols and need for standardised protocols for microplastic analysis. Additionally, the applicability of mayflies as bioindicators may vary across different ecosystems, emphasising the need for selecting suitable indicators that align with the unique characteristics of the ecosystem. © 2024 The Authors
