BackgroundHead CT is the most frequently performed examination in every hospital in Indonesia. Considering of the large radiation dose of head CT produces and eye which is one of the most sensitive organs, radioprotection is should be done for every patient of head CT. The aim of this study is to determine the radiation dose of eye lens during head CT compared to the dose limit value determined by ICRP No. 87 of 2000 and provides recommendations for examination protocols that prioritize radiation protection in order to reducing eye lens radiation dose. MethodsRadiation dose measurement of eye lens were performed on 10 patient samples using two different scanograms for every 5 patients. The first five patients had a scanogram parallel to the Orbitomeatal line (OML) and the other 5 patients had a scanogram parallel to the Supraorbitomeatal line (SOML). Radiation dose measurement is done by placing the Thermoluminescent Dosimeter 100-chip on one of the patient's eyelid surfaces. The results of the radiation dose measurements are presented and compared with the standard dose CT scan according to ICRP No. 87 2000. ResultsThe research showed that the procedure using scanogram parallel to OML get eye lens radiation dose 53.889 mGy, 50.729 mGy, 60.407 mGy, 70.952 mGy, 70.952 mGy and the other procedure which is using scanogram parallel to SOML get eye lens radiation dose 7.265 mGy, 6.944 mGy, 8.747 mGy, 6.411 mGy, 6.944 mGy. ConclusionThe procedure using scanogram parallel to the OML produces a higher dose of eye lens and it exceeds the standard head CT eye lens dose according to ICRP No. 87 of 2000. While the another procedure using scanogram parallel to SOML produces a lower radiation dose. Head CT is advised to use a scanogram parallel to SOML to reduce the eye lens radiation dose.

Along with the increasing of infrastructure development in Indonesia especially in jepara, so the necessary of material also increase, for example: sand. Nowadays, muntilan is the sand that often be used in making infrastructure in the government because it is considered that it has the good quality, whereas in the other hand the river sand is also abundant, but the government perverted mintilan sand as the development material. River sand is usually used by the middle to lower county because the house because the price is cheaper than muntilan sand. After doing this research we hope that: can know the quality of the river sand if it is used in infeastructure, knowing the river sand in jepara that have the good quality, such as: keling sand, bangsri sand, The stages of this research are: preparation, sand inspection (mud content and organic faces, filter analysis, moister content and weight, and specific gravity), making spacimens based on SKSNI 03-6825-2002 ASTM C 305, making compressive strength test. The test result show that at 3,7,14,21,28 days old show that keling sand (93,2 kg/cm2), bangsri sand (135,2 kg/cm2). The use of river sand as the construction material by the government and community will have consequence on the balance kf muntilan sand and river sand. The specific treatment on the river sand will that quality that is almost same as muntilan sand. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The electricity load growth should be planned appropriately to meet energy demand in a certain area. Electricity consumption growth is generally proportional with the economic and population growth. Using historical data on Gross Domestic Regional Product (GDRP) and population growth, the electricity load growth in the near future can be statistically predicted. The relationship between economic and population growth trend and total customers as well as the demands of contract electricity energy growth trend could be connected by the linear regression method to predict electricity energy consumptions. Through a Simple Econometric Simulation System (SIMPLE-E) program run in Microsoft Excel application, linear regression trend can be calculated. The purpose of study is to predict the growth of electricity consumption in Tangerang City-Indonesia, for the next ten consecutive years (2019-2028). Customer data that will be analyzed consist of five segments, which are Residential (R), Commercial (B), Industry (I), Public (P), and Social (S). Those can be combined with Gross Regional Domestic Product and human population using Multiples Linear Regression in SIMPLE-E. The correlation between dependent variables (total customers and contract of power) and independent variables (population and GRDP) will be computed in SIMPLE-E through rate value of correlation R, Adjusted R, and Durbin Watson test. The Actual trend data of total customer, contract power from 2012 to 2018, is compared to model equation from linear regression. The calculation of error use Root Mean Square Percentage Error and Mean Percentage Error, shows that the total error is less than 5%, meaning the simulation is scientifically accepted. This study shows that the average growth of electricity consumption in Tangerang city from 2019 to 2028 is 5.63%. It means that every 1% growth of economy in Tangerang will increase electricity load consumption for 0.94%. © 2019 IEEE.

Availability of raw water is one of the problems faced in the provision of clean water services in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the quality of ordinary well water and drill water with physical parameters. The number of samples in this study were 12 drill wells and 12 ordinary wells belonging to residents in the City of Parepare and the total wells were 12 villages. The parameters observed refer to the Indonesian Minister of Health Regulation Number 479 / Menkes / Per / IV / 2010 concerning Water Quality Requirements and Supervision which includes physical parameters such as turbidity. Data collection methods used in this study were cross sectional or analyzed in South Sulawesi Provincial Health Laboratory Makassar. Based on the results of laboratory tests for measuring water quality as measured by one of the physical parameters, namely turbidity, there is a difference in value between ordinary wells and boreholes. The turbidity values measured in ordinary wells are 3 villages that do not meet the requirements of clean water quality, where all of the results are above the maximum set level of> 5 NTU, the kelurahan is watang Soreang village, Lompoe village and Galung Maloang village while the turbidity value is measured in drill wells are the result that meets the requirements of clean water quality where the results do not exceed the maximum maximum set level of 5 NTU. © 2019 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland. Uncontrolled urban expansion resulting from urbanization has a disastrous impact on agricultural land. This situation is being experienced by the densely populated and fertile island Java in Indonesia. Remote sensing technologies have developed rapidly in recent years, including the creation of Google Earth Engine (GEE). Intensity analysis (IA) is increasingly being used to systematically and substantially analyze land-use/land-cover (LULC) change. As yet, however, no study of land conversion from agriculture to urban areas in Indonesia has adopted GEE and IA approaches simultaneously. Therefore, this study aims to monitor urban penetration to agricultural land in the north coastal region of West Java Province by applying both methods to two time intervals: 2003-2013 and 2013-2020. Landsat data and a robust random forest (RF) classifier available in GEE were chosen for producing LULC maps. Monitoring LULC change using GEE and IA has demonstrated reliable findings. The overall accuracy of Landsat image classification results for 2003, 2013, and 2020 were 88%, 87%, and 88%, respectively. IA outputs at interval levels for all categories showed that the annual change-of-area rate was higher during 2013-2020 than during 2003-2013. At the category level, IA results showed that the area of agricultural land experienced net losses in both periods, with net loss in 2013-2020 being 2.3 times greater than that in 2003-2013 (∼1,850 ha per year). In contrast, the built-up area made net gains in both periods, reaching almost twice as much in the second period as in the first (∼2,030 ha per year). The transition-level IA performed proved that agricultural land had been the primary target for the expansion of built-up areas. The most extensive spatial distribution of land conversion from agriculture to built-up area was concentrated in the regencies of Bekasi, Karawang, and Cirebon. Personnel and education data very important for organizations, including the military. All data related to military personnel will give effect positions and careers in the military field. The integration of personnel and education data can assist in processing and decision making. An analysis is needed so that the developed system can be useful for the long term. Analysis with IT balanced scorecard and COBIT® 2019, will be able to help and fill the gaps in the existing system based on the objectives of the military organization itself. It is shown that the domains BAI05 (Managed Organizational Change) and DSS02 (Managed Service Requests and Incidents) are still not being implemented well. The system developed will have the features and capabilities to support the organization in achieving its goals, including in the field of staffing and education. Besides, it provides convenience in making decisions in terms of positions related to personnel careers. © 2020 IEEE.

Laundry services are emerging in every corner of Bali, particularly at suburban area, from cities to villages. These services help the community to ease their burden. However, the burden for the environment is increase. The wastewater from the laundries should be controlled, which should be handled natural ways. One way of reducing the dangerous chemical from the laundry wastewater can be done by Vertical-Sub-surface Flow Constructed Wetland system, using volcanic rocks as substrate of plant grow and the plant as filters. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of volcanic rock and Canna plants as a filter for the laundry wastewater. The volcanic rock as substrate for the plant grows was place in layers in a drum and the laundry wastewater was flowed. The parameter of wastewater laundry, such as TDS, BOD, COD and total phosphate were measured before and after treatment. The treatment was run for 6 weeks. The result shows that this system is effective that overall can reduce the parameter measured for 53.86%. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

ZnO thin films in nanorod (NR) and nanoflower (NF) morphologies were used as photoelectrode scaffolds for efficient visible-light-driven photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting process, where their decoration with copper indium gallium sulfide (CIGS) and indium sulfide (In2S3) layers resulted in significant PEC performance enhancement. ZnO NF/CIGS/In2S3 photoelectrodes exhibited a remarkably high PEC efficiency (∼6.0% applied bias photon-to-current efficiency, 83% incident photon-to-current efficiency) due to the negligible dark current, while ZnO NR/CIGS/In2S3 generated a photocurrent density of ***–2 at 0.4 V (vs Ag/AgCl), being one of the highest performances reported in the literature for copper-based chalcopyrite photoelectrodes so far. The interfacial photoelectrode-electrolyte charge transport dynamics, investigated via intensity-modulated photocurrent spectroscopy, exhibited a sevenfold increase in charge transfer efficiencies with a significant drop in surface recombination kinetics for ZnO NF after CIGS/In2S3 decoration. The obtained results show consistency with numerically modeled electric field distribution profiles and electron paramagnetic resonance results of ZnO NF, rationalizing the enhanced charge transfer rates for decorated samples and confirming the defect passivating nature of CIGS/In2S3.

Wearable sensors are devices used in the diagnostic process for real-time health monitoring systems. Types of sensors are generally based on physical sensors and chemical sensors. However, the types of wearable sensors that are largely commercialized are limited to physical sensors. Some diagnostic processes generally use the blood collecting method to determine a patient’s condition. However, this method can cause adverse effects such as infection, pain, and bruising for some patients. Chemical-based wearable sensors are capable of detecting metabolic conditions in the body and can be an alternative to the existing method. Based on an approach using alternative analytes, sweat is the most frequently used because it is highly accessible and proceeds good parameters compared to the blood. Several studies related to wearable sensors using sweat have been done to increase convenience during the sampling process. Electrochemical, biosensor, and hybrid with several sampling methods, including microfluidic system, absorbent material, superhydrophobic-super hydrophilic surface, and iontophoresis, can be used for wearable sensor analysis method. Over the past decade, the characteristics of wearable sensors (i.e., selectivity, sensitivity, stability, and response time), textile materials, and biofuel cell technology for self-powered sensor development have also increased. From these classifications, it can be concluded that the method which is highly feasible to be developed is electrochemical wearable sensors that combine microfluidic and iontophoresis systems. The system is also expected to have stretchable material and is equipped with an integrated biofuel cell system that has the potential to be developed in our upcoming research topic.

Design of BCI motor imagery classification using WPT-CSP and CNN

This study proposes a new method in an electroencephalograph (EEG)-based Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) that can directly utilize brain signals to control external devices. The motor Imagery (MI) signal, which contains an image of a certain limb movement, is generally used in BCI. It does not need direct movements. The implementation of MI-EEG signal into BCI still experiences major issues because the patterns obtained for each recording can vary from one another even though they have the same type of motion. In this study, we utilized the Wavelet Packet Transform (WPT) method to decompose the EEG signal into specific sub-band frequencies and Common Spatial Pattern (CSP) as a spatial filter to increase the spatial resolution of the EEG signal. The Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) was subsequently selected for training from the classifier. Next, the results of the training were used to classify the movements of the given MI-EEG. We evaluated the model using dataset 2a from Brain-Computer Interface Competition (BCIC) IV. The results of this method showed the increase in the accuracy of 32% and in Kappa up to 0.42 and the decrease in Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) up to 1.21, compared with only using CNN as the classifier. These results showed fairly good performance compared to other methods used previously in dataset 2a from BCIC IV.
